Located next to Chase, in the Whole Foods Aliso village plaza. Lots of free parking. Lady taking our order was not a happy friendly person, just there to do the job. Got the cheeseburger, mushroom and bacon omelet, pastrami burger. Never had a cheeseburger fail but this place did it. It was bland, not flavorful, not special. The patty didn't look or taste charred. Basically a waste of calories. When I save my calories for a burger, I'd like to drool over it and eat it so fast that I crave more. Diner style. Maybe other items are better. I'll try breakfast next time. Good opening hours, 6a-9p except Sundays they open at 7am. Good place if you're absolutely starving and there's nothing else available. Has a drive through which is impressive and unusual for a diner.

Staff: The customer service here was okay. At the drive thru I attempted to place a simple order of two 1/3 pound burger combos. The lady taking our order was confused. Not sure why. I asked for a 1/3 burger and to make it a combo. She confirmed and I said I wanted two of this same order. The lady then asked how many we wanted. Once she was done I had to ask her to repeat since I felt the need due to her confusion. Pulled up to a frosted window that was closed and waited what felt like an eternity. No movement, unable to see inside, then finally the window opener and I paid. After paying the window closed again and we waited again. Eventually they returned and a young man handed us our order. The frosted window needs to go. Quality/Quantity: The fries were good but needed salt. The burger was tasty enough but could also use a bit of salt. Unfortunately, the patties were pink which is really unacceptable unless a customer asks. They are thin patties which looked more like a 1/4 lb vs 1/3 lb I ordered. Ended up putting them into the microwave at home to cook them even more. Drinks with a combo are small which is unusual. Value: I found it a bit expensive for the quality. 2 combos were $30. Overall: I've driven by several times and was curious but I am no longer curious. Maybe breakfast is better but after a big disappointment of lunch, I will not be returning.

Decided to stop by Teds place (great name!!) on my way back to Los Angeles. Glad I did. Staff was friendly, the young man who took my order was very polite and had great mannerism. The chicken fried breakfast ($19) was a 7.8/10. Eggs and hash browns were good but had to add salt to the hash browns. The hash browns were little mushy but overall good. The chicken tenders were a 8.6/10. Very good. Crispy outside and soft inside. Almost perfect! Great breakfast, great food and Great service!

Always greeted with warm welcome.

Ted's Place in Laguna Niguel is an old-school, family-run diner that has been a community staple for over 30 years. It is best known for its massive portions, diverse menu that ranges from Greek specialties to Mexican favorites, and the convenience of a drive-thru that serves the full menu--a rarity for a sit-down style diner.

First off it is beyond a blessing to be back home. I recently moved back to the Laguna Niguel area. I stopped by Ted's Place for lunch. I ordered the double chili burger and fries. The burger was amazing. Tommy's you're lucky that you are located on the other side of town. The double chili burger is way better than yours. The service was great. The counter person was very attentive when I placed my order. The ambiance has not changed since. You still get that feeling like you're walking in to a roadside diner. All in all the food was awesome, the service was great and the ambience is that of a roadside diner you'd find on Route 66.

Yummy melty breakfast burrito with bacon

This is the best breakfast burrito in town! The drive thru was quick and efficient. The lady who helped me was very kind! I ordered a side of salsa and added bacon! Recommend you to do the same you won't be sorry! I loved how the layers were so even and everything wasn't on one side which is usually the case with burritos. It was melty and delicious. Can't wait to return :)

The worst toughest zucchini sticks I ever had / tossed all !

Placed an order on door dash tonight and ordered the fish and chip meal and it didn't disappoint- ordered bean and cheese burrito it was decent and good Size - shareable . Ordered the zucchini sticks - REALLY BAD - TOUGH AND TOSSED ENTIRE BAG . Could not eat them . I LOVE zucchini sticks but people don't order these you won't be happy , 9.99 wasted . Also they didn't seal up the bag so my zucchini sticks as well as my other food was sticking out of the bag in my drivers car - I got my bag and literally reached in and tried the zucchini sticks- you hear how drivers can taste your food well perfect example of this from Ted's Place - PLEASE SEAL UP your BAGS or stop doing deliveries!! I'm sick period ! This my first negative review for food delivery !

Random stop on my road trip. I was blown away by how good my lunch was. I had a dream about eating the avocado toast, the night after I ate there. Itwas that good. And the chocolate shakes are amazing. They are not messing around. Would recommend anyone to stop in here of they get a chance. I normally dont leave a review like this, but i cant revisit often enough to support them and enjoy the food.

YES! Stop and eat here! I've driven past Ted's Place at lease 100 times. Finally stopped in the drive thru for a breakfast burrito. Graciella took my order and told me about how amazing their entire menu was. She recommended I try their Mediterranean salad. She was so convincing, I ordered it to go and planned to have it for lunch. WOW. Not only was the breakfast burrito the best I've had since I can remember, these salads are so delicious and absolutely enormous! Brought wifey back today and we ate on the patio. Graciella is here again and she helped us choose our orders. - she's been here 25 years! The quality of food here is FAR superior to what I expected from a small "mom and pop" drive thru. The portions are MASSIVE. I bet you can't finish a whole salad in one sitting! We'll be back until we can try everything on this delicious menu. Can't wait to try the strawberry stuffed french toast!

The wet burrito is the beeeeeest!

Everything is thoughtfully prepared and perfect for a satisfying midday meal. I ordered lunch and was immediately impressed by the quality of the food. The ingredients tasted fresh, the portions were generous, and everything came out perfectly prepared. You can tell the kitchen takes pride in their dishes. It's the kind of place where simple menu items are executed really well. What truly made the experience stand out was our server, Matthew. His service was exceptional. He was friendly, attentive, and incredibly professional throughout the entire meal. Matthew checked in at the perfect moments without being intrusive and made sure we had everything we needed. We also appreciated the 10% military discount. We stayed in room 23 which was a standard queen bed with garden view and liked that spot because it felt central, private, and quiet. The room is on the smaller side but it was fine. It does not have a fridge but they provide an ice bucket. We ended up putting our bottled waters on top of the AC box and that kept it cool. Some of the residents there do not hold back their disdain for tourists parking in front of their homes. Place your order outside, like a fast food joint, get a number and sit down somewhere after you get your drinks from another outside window. They are very busy here and have a good system in place to process and complete the orders. The wait time for your food is minimal. The vibe here is touristy yet the crowd is young. Beach goers mostly I suspect. Picnic tables inside with an assortment of round patio tables and chairs inside and out. The burgers taste good. They are a double patty, so they were cooked up quickly and were definitely served hot off the grill. The meat is without much taste. The cheese is American which is nothing more than a mysterious blend of yellow ingredients, few which are probably real dairy products. It does melt easily though and kind of makes a runny addition to the sauce they use. Flavor from the sauce and the texture from the meat made the burger interesting but not great. Probably on the level of an In and Out puck. The bun was ok, it held up well to the sauces. Since this a well cooked double patty, there was no juice to sog up the bun. Of course the lack of juice makes the overall product lacking. The fries are great and ample but the stingy amount of catsup provided is almost good enough for only half the fries. The ice tea is average and very small. It is not enough to wash down the meal. Make sure you get waters because your ice tea will not be refilled.

The layout inside was not clearly marked for where to pick up orders, and the regular in-store purchase counter. Because of that, I went to the in store purchase counter. There was one woman ahead of me, politely waiting to be acknowledged by the surly, disinterested young woman behind the counter who appeared annoyed that she had to pause her task of stuffing baguettes into bags--WITHOUT GLOVES. The employee did not smile, did not engage with the older lady buying the bag of coffee, and offered not a single welcome or pleasantry. At the same time, another young woman rushed behind the counter with a scowl on her face, didn't acknowledge me at all, clocked in, looked up at me waiting there, and then turned heel and walked away. The first young woman, whose hands had just been on finished bread, were now on the dirty POS screen and the older woman's payment card. At no point did I see her wash or sanitize her hands. When the transaction ahead of me concluded the surly young simply asked "Can I help you?" DMV employees have more warmth and personality. I responded that I had an order to pick up and gave her my name. She responded with, "You have to go over there," and pointed behind her. That was it. No "thank you," no "have a nice day." The second counter was no better. I stood at the pick up counter for a minute before being acknowledged me. It was long enough that a middle aged woman approached and asked if I'd been helped yet. Again, no smile, no greeting, not a single indication that this employee was grateful for my business. He also asked, with the same lack of humanity, "Can I help you?" I repeated that I was there to pick up my order and gave him my name. He seemed utterly bewildered, lacked any sense of urgency, and apparently couldn't find my name in his computer. He simply stated with a dead-pan monotone, "I gotta check on something." He went back to an unattended shelf that I didn't see or even know was there but was accessible by anyone. He brought my order out and handed it to me, and again I received no thank you, "have a good day," or any other effort toward making my patronage there seem appreciated. The loaves look fine, but the way they packed my croissant in the bag was such that it was on its side between the two heavier loaves and the sturdy paper bag. Of course these means that I pulled out a deflated, completely flat croissant with the filling mostly outside of the pastry. I can't say that this is because of the squishing, however, because the cheese was cooked and solid--just outside the croissant. The flavor was good, but after the first few bites where the filling had all come out of one side, the rest of the croissant had no filling, was super flat, and seemed unusually greasy. This sort of thing would never happen at Moulin. Between the horrible service, the insanely high prices, and the 7-11-level quality of the pastries, I'd recommend that you just go into the Sprouts right there and get something from them. Those employees are always happy/friendly, the value is there, and the quality is superior. Or better yet, go to Moulin where real, French-speaking men and women expertly practice their craft of exquisite artisan baking. Chaupain is a terrible, unsuccessful imitation.
