I don't expect McDonald's to have the same experience as some 5 star restaurant but I do expect the services offered to offered the way I expect. I ordered on the app and did curbside pick up. I was sitting outside waiting in the curbside pick up spot for 20 minutes just watching all these cars come in the drive thru and leave. I finally saw an employee that was bringing someone else's food outside and asked how much longer on my order. she seemed confused like she had no idea there was even a curbside order, but said she would check. She then came back with my food. Well, half of it. I told her what was missing and she went back and got it. The problem is when i got home (literally right down the street) all of the food was cold as if it had just been sitting there for a minute. The crew here is always working so hard!! It's always busy inside and out and I'm glad to see they can keep their composure and continue to deliver the best, even when they are faced with some of the most difficult customers. My food is always hot and as fresh it can get from a Mickey D's. Love the iced coffee with sugar free vanilla!! Oh and those fried apple pies!! I am go to see that the 2/6.00 deal and it was good. I really like the quarter pounders and I love it plain because I don't live mustard, ketchup, pickles and onions. I just hope that they can put at least teriyaki sauce on top to make it taste better. I also liked when they even delivered our food to the table and take the trash for us! I am glad that this location is open 24 hrs 7 days a week and I really like the deal and i wish it was permanent all the time so people can mix and match the items like..the filet-o-fish, quarter pounders and the 10 piece chicken mcnuggets. For the third straight time when I've ordered on the mobile app (min 10 before arrival) just a large drink, I've had to wait an additional 5 min or more and have to ask for the cup at the counter. I'm so happy that this Mcdonalds opened a couple of years ago. It's on the corner of Nimitz and Paiea, near my work place and ok the way to/from the airport. This location is super busy and their parking lot is always full. They have 2 drive thru order lines that feed into one drive thru window which is helpful. However, the drive they can get really backed up during the day at busy times. I'm not sure if it's because it's a newer location but the restaurant inside is clean and a nice place to dine at. The staff has always been friendly, despite being busy. If you dine in, they have a tv screen that show which order numbers are ready. This is definitely one of the better locations in the area. Y'know, normally I'm not one to review fast food places, buuuut... I left for work a little early so I had some extra time to spare, so I thought coffee was a good idea! The drive thru was crowded so I decided to try ordering inside, since there was a lot of parking available. Just like I thought, there were hardly any people inside, and only one person waiting for their food by the register. Sweet. Just... Where was the cashier? I see two ladies by the fries, sloooowly packing them... One looks back at me and just goes back to what she was doing. Uh, alright. Guess I'll... Wait? A few minutes later (still no one at the register) the person I mentioned earlier that was waiting seemed SUPER frustrated. I hear her say "TEN minutes for an apple pie. Unbelievable!" Uh oh. Maybe getting coffee wasn't such a good idea, then. Another minute of waiting with STILL no one acknowledging me I said screw it, I don't wanna be late, and left. Barely made it to work. I wonder if that lady ever got her apple pie... A few days later, I left home early again. Okay, I had more time to spare than last time... Let's give this another try. Drive thru wasn't as busy as last time, and neither was parking. Sweet. I opted to go inside again. Oh, hey, there's someone actually at the register this time. Now, I love their iced coffee. LOVE it. Only problem is, god, it is SO sweet. So, I always ask for less syrup/sugar. And of course, that's what I get. It isn't a hard order, you just don't put in as many pumps as you normally do...? So I step up to the register and say... "Can I get a large regular iced coffee with less syrup?" He gave me a confused look and said "syrup?". I guess what they refer to it as differs location by location, like when I ask for less mayonnaise some locations say "less mayo" and some say "easy mayo"... Anyway, I just say "Oh, y'know, like... less sugar!" and he says "... Sugar...?". At this point I'm just as confused. How do you not know what I mean at this point...? So now I'm trying to explain. "Iced coffee? You know how you guys put sugar in it? How many pumps do you usually put?" "Oh, six." "Okay, so can I have that regular iced coffee with like... Three pumps instead?" "Sugar?" "... Yeah, of the sugar." "In the coffee." "...... Yes. Regular iced coffee. With less sugar." This is the longest time it's ever taken for me to order ONE thing. He STILL looks confused but punches my order in, and I pay and wait, checking my phone. Well, looks like I'm barely gonna make it to work again. Thankfully, it isn't that long of a wait, but... It's just coffee with no cream. I stare at it for a second. I wanna say something, but I don't want to go through that "sugar" problem ALL over again. Whatever, I just take it and go because I hate being late. I get in my car, start the engine, think, well hey, at least it won't be as sweet, and take a sip. Jesus. Christ. It was DISGUSTINGLY sweet. Like, five times as sweet as they normally make it. Dude, do you have a grudge against me or something? I just wanted less sugar! I literally couldn't handle drinking even a tenth of it. The sweetness actually made me feel sick, it was just THAT sweet. What a waste of money, and, for the second time, my time. The only reason why it's two stars instead of one is that I've never had a problem here when I get something on the way home from work... I think. God, it's been a few days and I can STILL taste it. This is the nicest, cleanest McDonald's I've seen! The seating area was modern and inviting. I actually WANTED to dine in! Customer service was good. The staff was friendly. The food was hot. I had a Big Mac meal with a Haupia Pie. Everything was fresh and hot. The only thing that keeps this from being 5 stars is the parking area. In past service of this location I would have happily given a 5. Unfortunately with my latest visit, they're fortunate to receive a 1* ,& it's only because of a review. Apparently a couple of the 24 hr franchises here on Oahu have an accounting issue where at 12::0oam, they can only accept cash- which I assume they also cannot accept an order thru the mobile app. I can accept that & with various visits on my way home from work after 12am I have cash on hand This last visit though was after 2am- I had worked o.t. so I was really feeling like a snack then, so I ordered thru my app & was given an order #... cool nothing wrong here right???... it's after 12:00 ... BOY was I wrong & what a night mare. I drove up to the speaker & the person answers with "We Are Only Accepting Cash"...I say ok but I just placed an order thru the app... so I gave her the order#.. drove to the next window.. I then had to verbally relay my order again to an employee - who probably doesn't even know her own job or what to do .. there was a Manager on shift but he gave her an amount of what my order was going to cost, which was higher then what was given thru the app...so once again & several times of back & forth - I mean there were at least 5 cars behind me waiting for some kind of resolve... well, after 45 minutes of back & forth with resolving my payment & my order ... then they say that I would need to wait another 15-20 minutes for my order to be completed!!! I saw red & just left without my order !!! Here's the winner part of this review I was still charged thru my app on products I have Not Received !! OMFG!! Was wondering why the guy in front of us was taking so long to order! For a minute I thought I was in a Rap Reiplinger hidden camera prank or something. First I wanted a McRib only to find out they no more, even though it's on the board, put a fricken sign saying sold out over it or is that too hard to do. Okay so I tried to get the 2 for $6 and two large sodas for $1 while my wife was going get the #4 combo. We asked the worker to repeat our order and she got it wrong. I normally visit the McDonald's in Mililani, but decided to go to the Airport location on Nimitz Highway to enjoy breakfast while waiting to pick up my friend who was coming in from the mainland. I ordered the 20-piece McNuggets and medium french fries. Generally, the McDonald's food is okay to good. Today it was different--it was absolutely the worst. The french fries were dry and no salt. The McNuggets can be liked to eating cardboard. I tried "drowning" in sauce, but still was eating cardboard with sauce. The order taker was the arm pit--no hello, with a "what do you want attitude." Worse, once you are in the inner lane, it can be impossible to escape. You may find yourself sitting in the car watching the clock steadily ticking towards your departure window and the line un-moving. The parking isn't terrible, and it can be crowded, but anything is better than wasting your time in the drive-through. Just go inside and order. This McDonald's is esthetically pleasing. Even the tables and chairs are different from other McDonald's restaurants. It has a good size parking lot and a good length for the double drive thru to which there is always a line. Depending on the day they either don't have enough staff or the staff is moving like Zippy the wonder snail. There was one cashier and one person filling the floor and window orders. It was crazy to see so little people behind the counter. It took over 20 minutes for me to get oatmeal, a parfait and a hash brown. The good thing is the parfait came out of an almost frozen case, but the hash brown was not hot since they were just laying around waiting to be bought. After tasting the oatmeal I didn't like the combination of fruits, but others might enjoy it. I am an apples and brown sugar or apples and strawberries kinda girl. Awesome service and very clean dining area as well as the surroundings. Lots of young employees. High school/college students getting experience and learning some life skills needed to survive in this society. So don't be so rude and inconsiderate with them when you don't get what you ask for. Just put yourself in their shoes and think about the pressure those kids are going through. My server was very polite and efficient. He double checked my order and ensured I had my complete order including my sweet and sour sauce. He was very outgoing and his personality fits the customer service industry. In fact that whole shift was like a well oiled machine that worked togther very well. This was around 8:00 pm.
