Today 01/31/2025 at about 5:15 pm I placed an order through the McDonald's app. I then went through the drive thru to pick it up. Just before I got to the pick up window, there was only one car in front of me and that car took at least 10 minutes. While it was obvious that something was messed up with the order, the people in the drive thru kept discussing something with him and asked to see his phone showing the order he intended to pick up. This created a very long delay. Why didn't they have him pull into one of the available parking spots for pickup?? It was very clear that they should have directed him to pull off to the side or pull forward. Nevertheless, they kept trying to work with him for a very long time. Once I finally got to the window I was happy that they handed me my order right away. Down the road a bit, I realized that the contents of my order was incorrect. I turned around to go back to the restaurant. I went in and walked up to the "counter" hoping that maybe someone would help me out right away. Instead, the workers were focused on the drive thru and ignored the internal customers. Once I finally got their attention, a person that seemed to be the manager brought me what I thought was the correct meal. Once I returned home, it was clear that the meal was made incorrectly (with certain exclusions made clear through the app) and was missing an item. This was a very frustrating experience, especially since McDonalds was supposed to be a quick meal and a bit of a treat for my son!! This location continues to be, in my opinion, the worst McDonalds in Holland. My biggest issue is that this happens to be the closest location to my home. They don't participate in half of the app deals and even worse, when you give them a code they do except they always tell you it's been used and won't honor it. It's a scam to get you in line then not give you the discount or promotion. Terrible read more

I go here nearly everyday. For a McDonalds it's to tier. Ppl here seem to care. To get a good McDonalds is tough. This one is good.

We did the morning drive thru and before we left the window I noticed I had not gotten the hash brown with my meal. The girl at the window argued with me that they only come with the meals. I told her I had gotten a meal and she said, "No you didn't you just got the sandwich." I showed her my receipt which proved my point. No apologies, no how can I make that better for you, no gift card or anything. She simply handed over a hash brown and closed her window! RUDE! read more

Avoid this McDonald's they will not except coupons from fellow McDonald's franchisors. Not cool in these present times when dollars need to be stretched. Cannot for the life of me understand why the proprietor of this restaurant is refusing to except McDonald coupons from other McDonald's restaurants. when leaving the restaurant I was highly annoyed with the response from McDonald's employees. Basically after filling out surveys for other local McDonald's restaurants they would not except coupons or promotional codes from other restaurants. My main issue with this is in any of the McDonald's terms and conditions does it say coupons will only be excepted from Pacific McDonald's restaurants. Next issue was while waiting for a special order the rest of the food actually got cold staff did not want to interact with myself. Basically this restaurant is a standalone McDonald's restaurant and do not want to honor any of McDonald's trade brands or coupon specials they basically want you to pay full menu price and send you on your way. I believe that this is very unfair and also possibly discriminatory. read more

McDonald's is McDonald's anywhere you go! So why am I writing about this one. Because you can predict the economy by visiting a few local fast food restaurants. My theory is a little strange but stay with me. When the economy is bad as it has been all over the world, you will find better workers who need the money and have to find second jobs or even a new first job to survive. These people have a better work ethic and skill over the normal part-time fast food worker. Here in Michigan we have a 40+ month run on the highest unemployment in the country ( 15%+). during this tough time I find that my orders at these establishments are faster, correct and served by a person who was polite and easy to understand. My last few trips to the McDonald's in my town yielded a different result. I had people who didn't understand how to take orders, my food was not correct and I waited forever with only one person in front of me! Tell me I am crazy but I have conducted this experiment twice now. Once coming out of the Dot-com recession and now. I am hoping for continued poor service at all fast food locations. I only recall 2 instances in which I was at this McDonalds. 1. I was drunk 3 years ago and starving and ordered 2 hamburgers. When I realized I forgot to order fries, I decided to walk up to the cashier and say, "Excuse me, I forgot to order fries, can you do me a favor and give me some fries?". She stared at me for a second, turned away for 2 seconds, grabbed a brown bag, and dumped a pile of fries in the bag and handed it to me with a smile, for free! 2. Last week, I was starving and I planned on going to BK next door, but it was closed because it was Thanksgiving. Screw you BK! This McDonalds is clutch, but outside of the subpar food...I'll still give it 3 stars. read more

Very unhappy with this location. First I waited in line for close to 40 minutes. Which I understand they may be understaffed so it's not a big deal. However, I get up to order and the person taking my order was very unpleasant and rushing. I paid for my food and then had to wait another 15 minutes at the window for a happy meal. The lady in the window kept mentioning she could not wait for 7 to roll around because she would be out of there. Then said she "can't get this stupid happy meal for this lady" because she had only 1 minute left. I understand you may be stressed and very ready to go home but you need to keep those things to yourself or speak a little quieter. If you don't like your job, find a new one. There are PLENTY of places hiring right now. Not only was the lady at the window disrespectful but when I finally got someone to give me my food, they literally only gave me 4 nuggets. No fries. No toy. No sauce. Very displeased and I was not waiting another 40 minutes to an hour to go back through that line. read more

This place was ok the service isn't that great but if your not trying to be out in a hurry this is the place to go. I loved how good the food was and how good their shakes were. They didn't mess up my food and I loved how nice the people were by offing me things while waiting. But over all it's a good place for fast food read more
