I'm from out of town and went through the drive through around 10:30pm and got a 10 piece nuggets combo with an unsweetened ice tea. The ice tea tasted like it was mostly water so I pulled over and went inside to ask if perhaps the tea was out or something because I've ordered tea from McDonald's 1000 times and I know what it should taste like. The girl behind the counter said the tea is fine and it's just the ice that makes it that way and then I said well can I get it with no ice and she said they aren't allowed to serve drinks without ice and she'd been there 5 years etc etc. I've never heard of that but I'm not from here so ok...so I asked for a lemonade instead. She goes to the back and I can hear her talking crap about me to another employee. She takes at least 3-4 minutes to come back with the lemonade and just sets it on the counter away from where I am and says nothing and walks away. I'm irritated by that point bit say "thanks for your hospitality" and she comes out and says something and I told her "you know I could hear you talking about me to your coworker" and she just responds with "yea". I used the app to order two quarter pounders and a drink. I sat in the drive thru for over 15 minutes then they gave my order to someone else, so I sat for another 10 minutes for them to prepare them. Finally they brought the burgers out, but no drink. Now I'd have to wait for that. They were apologetic, but would have been nice to get a discount card for a future purchase. It's not just because they are renovating, they've always been slow here. Always get rude people at the window....And they are the only McDonald's located in any surrounding area that does not allow you to split the value meal between a large drink and a medium fry. They say it's 'against their policy' and if you want a large drink you have to get a large fry.... end of story. Even when a manager is working the window they just stare at you they don't say a darn word no thank you they don't tell you your total... etc just rude people And don't bother asking for catch up when you get your food! Window just yells 'whaaaaaaaat?' Like it's an inconvenience to her and then she hands it to you and look the other way. I like this McDs a lot. They redid it and it's really nice inside and out. It's right across the street from Paramount VW, so I go have breakfast there when my car is being serviced. Hot cakes and sausage all the way. Have not been there at any other times, so can't speak for lunch and dinner. A TV with the news and usually a local paper to read. read more

I work at the McDonald's on Conover, Fairgrove Church Rd, so I know things can be stressful when it comes to fast food. The one time I actually decide to eat at McDonald's besides work, this store messed my order up. I asked for the dehydrated onions instead of slivered on my Quarter Pounder, I open the box, it was covered in slivered. So I took it back in and got them to fix it, to only get home and take two bites to discover my burger was completely RAW. I will say, I'm glad the manager gave me my refund considering the lady who fixed my food threw away my receipt so I didn't have it when I went back the second time. They also gave me a Diet Coke instead of regular Coke which wasn't that big of a deal. The whole Raw part was what ruined it for me, obviously! read more

I ordered a Large coke, a 4 piece McNugget, and a McDouble plain. My first bite was of a Chicken McNugget. I was immediately filled with nostalgic vibes from my childhood, in that split second I was happy again. The happiest I have been in a while. After experiencing the euphoria of that bite I switched to my McDouble. And once again my first bite into the burger, I was transported to a new plane of existence. The bun was warm, fresh, and soft. The patty was juicy yet delicious. The cheese was perfectly melted. Overall the absolute best burger i have had in my whole life. No gourmet burger could compare. Move out of the way Impossible Whopper, the best burger known to man was just eaten. I wanted to congratulate and applaud and thank this McDonald store for giving me the best meal/ late night snack ever. Please find out who was on the grill this night and give them a raise and paid time off and the ability to show their talents to the world. I am 100 percent serious. Tried bringing my back inside while I charge my phone so it wouldn't get stolen, I was told if I'm going be in here to leave it outside. Well could have used more people on the counter and less on drive thru. That being said staff were extremely pleasant and helpful including the manager. Had to wait a bit for food but it was fresh and hot. Got the chicken tenders they were very good but can't say the same for the cole slaw it was awful. Other issue was restrooms really needed moped I had case on my foot and it was quite difficult to use urinal and not get it soaked because people can' use bathrooms correctly. Everytime I visit this Mcdonalds there is a problem. First half the time they can only take cash payments instead of debit/credit/gift cards b/c there internet connection isn't working well...which i assume is provided by centurylink even though nobody has ever indicated thats who provides their internet but i know the local internet providers and nobody is worse than centurylink. On top of that several times that I have ordered something it is not specified to what I wanted. I ordered Sweet Tea one day and got Unsweet. Then one day I ordered a Mcdouble with only Mayo and instead I got a regular Mcdouble, then I ordered a Quarter Pounder w/ Cheese and instead I got a Double Quarter Pounder w/ cheese and was charged for the mistake. Every single time something happens, and unfortunately I do not have time to talk to the manager or return my items b/c its always on my lunch break and it almost takes up my entire lunch break just waiting in line to get my order taken and to get my food. This is the worst experience I have ever had with any McDonald locations. I reccomend to drive out of your way to another McDonalds. read more

my experience here was better than i could've ever imagined. driving through the drive through at approximately 11:30 pm was not very promising whenever i was told that their "ice cream machine is down" (yeah right...). BUT whenever i decided to order the sprite instead i was reassured. the moment the first drop of sprite hit my tounge i knew my life was going to be changed forever. i have NEVER tasted BETTER sprite in my whole entire life. & i know what you guys are thinking... "omg all mcdonald's have good sprite" but this was way different. i will be attending this establishment in the future and recommend that you do too. make sure you order the sprite and your life will too be changed. read more

My husband went through drive threw and wasn't given a receipt. They left out an order of fries so he went back in to get it and the black male employee refused to help him because he didn't have a receipt and talked crap to him. My husband told him the employee didn't give him one. So the male goes over and gets fries and said "I shouldn't be giving you these" and drops them in the bag very rude like. My husband said he asked for the manager and the make continued to run his mouth to the point the manager had to shit shut him up. This is very rude. What happened to customers are always right? Make sure you look at your food before you leave this place!! Just went through this McDonald's. I ordered a McChicken add ketchup. I got a 4 hour old McChicken with only lettuce on it. I went back to the store to get another sandwich, when I got there nd started telling the manager that my sandwich was 4 hours old nd didn't have what it was supposed to on it she said "yeah we gave you the wrong sandwich, yours is sitting over there." By the time we went home nd drove back it had been 40 minutes, so she then tries to give me the 40 minute old sandwich, so I told her that I didn't want the 40 minute old sandwich or the 4 hour old sandwich. I told her I wanted a McDouble instead. So, when I was leaving I told the manager that she should check her stuff before giving it to a customer, nd started to pull off nd she is hanging out the drive thru window yelling nd cussing at me (while there was a line of customers waiting in the drive thru) nd telling me not to come back.. For one, that is not professional and is not how you are supposed to deal with a situation where THEY messed up and gave me an old sandwich, and they knew because she told me she knew that they gave me the wrong sandwich, then tried to give me an almost hour old sandwich. For 2, WHY IS A 4 HOUR OLD SANDWICH SITTING WHERE IT CAN BE GRABBED TO PUT IN SOMEONE'S BAG??? Look at the pictures of the sandwich they gave me below, and the time stamp on the sticker says it was made at either 6:57 or 8:57pm nd my order was placed at 11:35pm!!! The lettuce on the sandwich is BROWN, the chicken patty is WHITE on top, and the buns were hard as a ROCK!! This place is disgusting and the manager doesn't deserve her job!!! read more
