Been coming here for years, they changed management recently and the new management is horrible. No sense of care, the bag of food is tossed at you with no care. The second in charge, I believe her name is Yolonda, leans on the counter and texts on her phone the whole time, super unprofessional and very disrespectful when attempting to get her attention. Service should be less than one star. The cashier had an attitude just because I asked for a receipt and then the lady at the serving window didn't give us the full order. When I tried to get the missing items the cashier yelled to me that I have to go inside to ask for what was missing. This one gets the job done but just barely. It's not always clean and the fuel (food) is not always hot. Like most McDonalds it has a drive-thru. If you are in the mood for some fun, here are some hilarious little twists to the typical drive-thru experience. 1. Drive through the drive-thru in reverse and let your passenger order. 2. Order a cup of water and two napkins. That's it. 3. When they hand you your food, hand them a bag with the trash from your car in it. 4. When asked if they can take your order, say you are just window-shopping and drive on. 5. When asked if they can take your order say, "Why, can I take yours?" Try #1 and #2 together. Hello to my Yelp Family!!!! Yes I visited this location today, Friday, December 27th, 2019, to pick up some lunch for the family. Parking is plentiful here. I didn't use the restroom so I cannot comment on that. Was running errands all day and decided to pick up the family's favorites from here. My mom enjoys filet of fish. So I ordered the meal with fries. My mom likes her fish (Plain) (As in no cheese, no tartar)and a Sprite. I also ordered a quarter pounder meal with fries with a drink. I have not had any issues with this location. The staff is usually quite nice. I decided not to use the self-serve kiosk because sometimes I screw it up (the orders). I decided to order at the counter and the young lady was kind and warm. She smiled and took my order. This was a carry-out order. My order did not take long at all. It was ready in record time. I proceeded to obtain all my items such as ketchup in the packet, straws and napkins. Micky D's has come a long way Baby!!! The way they have revamped this establishment is nothing short of amazing!!!The curbside service and the dine-in experience where staff actually brings you your meal at the dining table. I am also impressed with the customer service. There was a time when you could go to a Micky D's and no one says nothing to you, no smile or no may I help you? It looks like those days are yesteryear. Granted, some Micky D's may still have one or two irate and sarcastic employees, but in general the staff is quite friendly, attentive and polite. The food and service is terrible and unprofessional. I went thru the drive thru at this location, ordered 2 Crispy Chicken sandwich meals and 1 deluxe crispy chicken sandwich meal. The Deluxe Crispy Chicken sandwich was served in a Quarter Pounder box so I checked it. It appeared to be a burger so I go into the store to state that I asked for chicken. The rude, immature, ignorant young lady states that my sandwich was chicken... this "chicken" was so overcooked and burnt that it looked like beef. I asked her for another chicken sandwich that was not over cooked, and she responded by saying "All of the chicken looks over cooked because the grease is old". I asked her if she would eat something that looked like that and she stated she doesn't eat the food there. Hmm I wonder why. Anyway, I asked for the manager, who was just as unprofessional and immature as her staff, and was offered a refund. I asked for a burger instead. I get home and my burger was pink in the middle. I didn't get a chance to get a picture of the burnt overcooked chicken but i did capture a picture of my Quarter Pounder. I am disgusted and disappointed not only by the food that I was served, but more-so by the lack of professionalism, ignorance, rudeness, & immaturity by the staff. McDonald's food is the same everywhere, so there's no issue with that (aside from the fact that I eat it at all, that is). The restaurant itself is awkward and disgustingly poorly maintained. I still shudder at the thought that my kid actually played in that Playland out front (the one with the Alcatraz bars and the lovely view/sounds/aroma of West Chester Pike) when she was younger. But the main issue with Havertown's McDonald's is the sheer incompetence of the staff. We generally try to avoid McDonald'ses, but every once in awhile the day gets away from us, it's late, and we're too tired and/or lazy to prepare actual FOOD and too hungry to wait for delivery of anything decent. So, despite knowing better, we find ourselves making the short trip to this McDonald's. I'd conservatively estimate that about 60%-70% of our visits to this McDonald's involve at least one (and often all three) of the following: (1) Employees getting order wrong (2) Getting to the second window of the drive-through and being told to "just pull up there while we finish your order..." (the "there" in question is just ahead of the drive-through lane, immediately to the right of the squalid Playland [circa 1970--uncleaned and unupdated since 1970], and perilously close to any traffic leaving the back parking lot and/or the drive-through) (3) Employees giving wrong change For the most part, the employees seem to be high school kids--some of them are friendly, at least, and a good deal more of them have the smart-ass, can't-be-bothered thing going on (which is fine--we've all been there). But, seriously, even given that this is a McDonald's we're talking about, the level of incompetence is startling. Really, it's almost IMPRESSIVE how consistently awful the service here is. The staff at this McDonald's is absolute pure trash. I was in a rush between sports games with my four kids and only had a small window to get a quick lunch. Pull in, see the drive through line is very long, ok no big deal so we go inside to eat. I ordered 4 happy meals and a burger meal for myself. 10 mins go by, 15 mins, 20 mins I ask if my food is almost ready to which i get an attitude from the lady behind the counter. So she says yea Let me check. I watch her walk away and start dancing with the other employee, looks at me and starts laughing and says "oh shit my bad yo let me see where your order at" comes back and says it will be right here..30 MINUTES LATER, I still hadn't recieved my food. I asked for my money back, the manager came out I told her its been literally 30 minutes since I ordered and even showed her my receipt with the time I ordered. As I said this other people standing there started saying their orders were taking way too long also. Her response "yea I dont blame you Id be mad too" as she is giving me my refund my order came out, she asked if I still wanted it I said hell no, took my kids and left. Many of the employees are disrespectful, rude, and tend to have continuous attitude no matter how polite I am. I am angry and they tend to take advantage of my niceness because I am young. Drive through is mostly pleasant but don't bother eating in. I came here with my younger brother, he got got no chocolate milk. Came here with my friend, she got no smoothie. Came here by myself got no fries. But you know what I always get some dirty looks and attitude from the employees no matter how polite I am. 11AM Sunday morning, when lunch starts I ordered 2 cheeseburgers in the drive thru. They told me they didn't have cheeseburgers... I parked and went inside and ordered 2 cheese burgers... I've never actually left in the middle of the drive thru line, without my food, and then opened Yelp. This is THE slowest fast food joint I've been to. All i wanted was a hamburger at the end of the day. It wasn't anything crazy: medium number one (hamburger) with a sprite. That's it. There were 2 cars in front of me and I assumed that it was taking awhile because maybe the customers in front of me had a big order. Nope - i saw one bag and one drink go out the window each. I pulled up to the window and had mine rolled down, and their window was open as well. I was continuously ignored, they were walking around and blasting insanely profane music. I've worked in fast food, I know how it gets around 10pm when all you want to do is go home and dick around with your friends on your shift. That being said, you still have to maintain a level of professionalism. I waited in line at the window for 7 minutes (can't believe I counted), and in that 7 minutes I saw one employee walk to the counter and back and never saw anyone again. I eventually pulled away.
