I don't usually write reviews like this, but this experience genuinely pissed me off. I waited 20 minutes at the counter for the most basic order--nuggets, fries, and a sweet tea--while watching other people get their food. It honestly felt like I was being ignored. When I finally got my order, I was still polite and said thank you, and in return I got a rude look--like a full-on eye roll. After waiting that long, that kind of attitude is just unnecessary. The whole interaction left me feeling patronized and singled out. Between the slow service and the disrespect, this was a really frustrating experience. Do better. Fairly standard McDonalds with a good amount of parking and a drive thru that fortunately prevents cross traffic with those choosing to dine in. The dining room is fairly well kept and pretty spacious and the food is prepared to expectations. It does seem though that this restaurant is a bit understaffed for the number of customers that it receives. It took a while to get the food on my last few visits here, but it was served quite hot. read more

I placed my order ahead of time. When I came in my order was not ready. I had to wait five minutes. No violins please.. They seem to think drive-through is a priority. If they ever got busy in the restaurant, they'd be in big trouble. They were not even busy. Unfortunately I had to come here because my McDonald is closed because of fire. ATTENTION city of hardwood heights! I came here today to order food from their drive tru and surprisingly this mcdonalds location is serving expired chocolate milk dated today December 24, 2024. I inform the latino guy worker which seems like their supervisor on duty and he said the rest of their chocolate milks are expiring today. this should not be served to customers for food safety. I had to wait 5 minutes at the drive thru speaker saying "hello" and asking if anyone was there before someone even responded. When they did they proceeded to tell me to hold on and waited for another 5 minutes. I specifically chose to order thru the app to avoid waiting and to customize my order as I don't like the extra toppings(pickle, mustard, onions) besides ketchup. There was not even a line or any cars infront of me, when only the drivethu(no inside ordering open) So I'm quite confused why I even had to wait in the first place. After about 20 minutes when I finally did get my order, it was completely wrong and I had to throw out the burger as it was covered in 2 different layers of onions in addition to the mustard and pickles I specifically removed on my mobile order. I debated on going to this location that was closer to where I currently was and between my usual one by my house and I'm so disappointed with my choice. This location is the closest to my house and we always use the drive-thru. They're extremely inconsistent, and the staff is very impatient. I ordered the same breakfast two days in a row over the weekend but was charged a different amount each day. I tried to ask why my total was almost $6 more the second day when I ordered the exact same thing the day before, and the staff was rude with a "take it or leave it" attitude. I was asked to pull over and someone would bring me my order. I went home and realized half the items were missing and had to go back. Quality of the food has really gone downhill too, items are cold within minutes and stick to the packaging. I get McDonalds less than a handful of times each year, but I think it's time to permanently stop. read more

This is the slowest McDonald's, but the workers are all very nice in the drive-thru. Seriously though, EVERY TIME I order the chicken tenders, I have to wait between 10-15 minutes in the reserved drive-thru parking spaces because they never have fresh tenders pre-made before I get there. I guess I like that my chicken is very fresh when I receive it, but it gets annoying to have to wait at a FAST FOOD restaurant's drive-thru for that long. The two drive-thru ordering lanes would be a lot more helpful if they could keep up with all of the customers they get. I understand that many times I come here, it seems that they are training new people in the drive-thru, but I just wish that service was faster and more convenient for customers. This place is horrendous. My wife and I grabbed a late lunch here on 11/23/2020. We ordered 2 cheeseburgers, fries and 2 beverages. The beverages got messed up which is not the end of the world. This is one of the busiest McDonalds that I have ever been to, especially the drive-thru. The drive-thru has two separate lanes to take orders which works out pretty well. Pull up to first window where they confirm your order and you pay. Then pull up to the second window to get the food and drinks. Do they make mistakes with the orders, I'm sure it's happened and that's why you should always check the bag before you leave the parking lot. If they missed something, you can walk back in and tell them. They will correct it, as I saw it done one time in the days before the Covid shutdown of restaurants dining areas. I personally like the sausage McMuffin with egg and the hash browns. I always order the same so I even know the price of the meal and give them exact change. Worst service ever. I order thru the app which everything went fine. I got to the restaurant and indicated Im outside. When the lady brings the food outside there was no hello no hi no nothing. While shes giving my food she drops the happy meal on the floor. Not a word about it but picks it up and leaves. Comes back 30 seconds later. Constant missing items in orders and poor preparation. (Not enough water in oatmeal, Missing hotcakes but they gave me syrup, Missing fries, missing drinks etc...) This is a good McDonalds if you have small children because of the playroom. The only thing to keep in mind is no matter what you order, they will forget one item. You have to check your Happy Meal to make sure they included the apple slices. This is probably because they are so busy they are getting slammed trying to keep up with the Corporate Measurables. Call me a weirdo but I like chewing on ice instead of sugary gum or smoking or snacking when I shouldn't. McDonald's came thru for us when we had an extra hour of time with a wiggly toddler. My 3-year-old loved the PlayPlace that was updated and clean. The staff and patrons were extremely kind and personable to us. I hadn't eaten McDonald's in 10 years, and I was impressed at how modern and improved its look and offerings had become. Oh, the sacrifices I make for my dog. I quit eating McD's burgers a long time ago because I question their beef. I don't come for their French fries anymore because they haven't tasted as good as they used to. It's been so hot walking my dog lately that I have been making an exception, a special stop, for a Coke and a cup of tap water. McD's still has their fountain machine dialed in perfectly for a great tasting soda, which I think is remarkable. If my dog is in between meals, I'll order their chicken nuggets as a treat. Just the other day, I decided to order the 10pc meal. I was too hungry to care and ten is plenty for sharing. The one and only time I actually ask for dipping sauce, I didn't get any. No one informed me they were out of honey mustard and asked if I wanted an alternative flavor, I had to ask. The service was OK. Three young employees working behind the counter together. I noticed none of them wore latex gloves as they refilled the ice cream cone dispenser. As I witnessed them touching every one of those cones with bare hands, I cringed. Workers tell me it's independently owned and the cheap owners don't allow free refills. Wow! Talk about cheap. What's a refill cost? A few cents? They don't deserve any of my business again.
