When you order food from here, it's BEST to have them MAKE it fresh. Especially the Fish Sandwich. Fish sandwiches along with all other sandwiches usually sit under the heat lamp for a bit and it drys out the meat dried out and hard. So IF you order Make it FRESH, Takes a little longer but well worth the results. Also Tell them to MAKE Sure the Fry Box is FULL, if not, you'll end up with a Medium Fry box with a Small fry inside or a Large Fry with Medium Fry in it, They got this mixed up for some reason. And ALWAYS Count on a Wrong order the first time and almost always the second time. Always check order before leaving so you can get it corrected. read more

Absolutely the worst McDonald's in the entire chain. it took over 25 minutes for them to make our food and that was even after I asked numerous times what the problem was. The woman who was taking the order stated that I didn't need to get upset and to calm down. When I told her I've been waiting 25 minutes for my meal her response was well we're busy. When we did receive our food it was cold and was incorrect. Completely rude staff food was cold and wait time was absolutely ridiculous. The McDonald's in Albany Indiana is 1,000% better than this when you order your food there it is usually at your table before you get ready to set down. The staff is friendly and greet you with a smile unlike those at Hartford City who acts like you're a bother rather than like a customer. Drive up orders are always taking precedence over anyone who orders indoors. It makes you wonder if the higher ups at McDonald's even read these responses here. You never get this type of service or lack of service at Burger King Burger shack Wendy's Rally's you name it all of them are better. And what really makes it sad is they could have good food. My wife especially likes their eggs and their sausage and hash browns. They really need to start firing everybody in Hartford cities McDonald's starting with the owners and working all the way down to the people at the cash registers. read more

Perhaps the WORST McDonald's I've ever been to. I've been here three times. Each time I vow I'm not coming back. This is the LAST time I will come here. This place is set up to have no human contact. No one at the counter. All kiosks. They don't bring your food out if you are dine in. No number tents to ID your at your table. A human will come tell out your number. That isn't helpful if the kiosk is always out of paper. The chronic issues: extraordinarily SLOW! Food comes out cold often. No humans come to the counter to resolve your issues. For the most part...the dinning area is clean. I'm not sure how that happens since you never see anyone at or beyond the counter. Don't ask for a refill. All the machines are hidden in the back. You will never get a human to ask for the refill. As for the team here. Seems like they have enough people - if you peak behind the wall. Several seem to be standing around waiting of something to happen. The kitchen area is usually very messy. The managers seem angry. The team seems like they don't know what to do. The service wasn't terrible, they were polite and sort of speedy, but the food is absolutely terrible, fries are old and stale, nuggets were hard and cold. sweet tea wasnt sweet, the burgers were cold, and the meat was tasteless and kind of hard. I am a over the road truck driver and this is based on my feelings over the last year or so, however I live in Hartford City, and this review is only this store. I have been here on several occasions against others desires because they do not like the food quality or service. I in general can't complain about it as it is as bad as any place else in the fast food industry. On the other hand it is very inconsistent, one day I might get a delicious wonderfully fresh Big Mac with excellent service friendly smiles and all the experience, and the next well it went in the toilet. We have eaten at the McDonald's here in Harbor city since about 2009 no matter when we go in it is very dirty the customer service has a lot to be considered you get ignored you wait.
