I liked that the burger patty's were thick and juicy well made ! The ingredients were fresh and the gold burger comes with chips in the burger for some extra crunch and the gold burger sauce which I loved ! So highly recommended especially if it's your first visit . I also ordered the side of large fries ! And they are LARGE . We were easily able to share among 4 of us . ( they also gave us the option to mix two flavours and we chose regular and sweet potato ) both really good in my opinion. We were also able to try the Mac sauce with the fries that does have a little kick to it ( but not too spicy .. The burgers were probably really good warm, but they really needed ketchup which was a little hard to get my hands on by the time I started my shift back up. It was established in 1959 and soon became a popular destination for Meriden's many factory workers who worked around the clock. Td's stayed open until 4 AM to accommodate them. Ted's doesn't fry their burgers in a pan or grill them on a grill. Nope - they steam them in a steel cabinet and serve them with a scoop of melted cheese and your choice of free toppings, like ketchup, mustard, mayo, lettuce tomato, chopped onions, pickles or even bacon. Their food truck is named "Steam Machine" and it was at Cheshire Craft Brewing today. In fact, it's there every Friday night and weekends. It can also be found at Hartford area attractions like Bushnell Park, the Xfinity Theatre, and at Pratt & Whitney Stadium for UConn Huskies football games.
