McDonald's in Grand Haven is what I look forward to when I have my cancer treaments- at least twice a week. John always asked me how I am feeling and gives me a high five; stephanie comes over- makiing sure everything is clean, and if Steve is in and or Adam, they always ask how I am doing. That makes me feel special- and then the coffee and sandwiches arrive which gets my mind off of the treatment I just had. This is the best McDonald's if you need to feel like you matter and are not just another customer. thanks to all the crew for all you do for me when I come in, sit down, and then leave. There is a holiday movie that this McDonald's reminds me of when strangers all come together on Christmas Eve- not able to get to their destination , and their end up friends. I've reviewed this place in the past. So this is an update. Usually I use the drive thru, which is very efficient. Also, good people, for the most part manning the windows. Today I decided to eat inside. I ordered a fish sandwich meal at the counter. I took a seat and the food arrived in less than 5 minutes. Looked good. But the fish sandwich was missing the fish! I took it back to the counter and was promptly given a new sandwich, with the fish this time. read more

I ordered a breakfast sandwich one time a few years ago and it only came with the bun parts. Nothing else. I'd how that even happens besides being lazy. After that I haven't gone here. I used to enjoy going to this Mcdonalds a couple of years ago. I would love the Bacon, egg, and cheese bagels, so I got one this morning. I have not had any food at this Mcdonalds since years ago because I moved, but this place has gone totally downhill. The bagal wasn't heated, or crispy or anything, it was a plain bagel I could have picked up at a dollar store. The bacon looked like microwavable bacon, and the egg looked like school lunch egg. I wouldn't be as upset if it wasn't 6-8 bucks. It's crazy how expensive this place has gotten and the food quality has gotten insulting. No longer going to this Mcdonalds, yuck. read more

I think I can best summarize me experience with this place by just giving you my previous order (6/19/22). I ordered a Double Quarter Pounder, only ketchup, and a 10 piece chicken nugget. When I got home, I found that my "10 piece chicken nugget" was a cold burger in a tiny box. My "double quarter pounder only ketchup" was two cheeseburgers with onions on them, which I'm allergic to. I know this place has a history of not caring, filled with rude employees who think it's okay to vent about how much they hate their job at the drive-thru window, but this is the last straw. I was at this McDonald's on June 30th around 10:40 a.m. I wanted to order a couple of breakfast burritos but taking my order at the drive-thru said they don't sell breakfast anymore. Not the biggest deal, but then she called me ma'am and I had corrected her that I am a guy, not a woman. Not too long after that she called me ma'am again. I don't know if she thought she was funny or what her problem was but I thought it was very rude and unprofessional. read more

Terrible place. I'm not from the area, and stopped here on the way home from the waterfront, and I will never choose to stop at this place ever again, especially after seeing that Jeremy R. found it repulsive as well. I would rather go up a few miles south on US-31 and endure the boulevard turn to patronize the other one I saw much too late. I normally adore the iced lattes. I received iced something, but it definitely was NOT an iced vanilla latte. It may have been iced milk. It was white. No lie, there was no coffee in there whatsoever. It had no whip, and the cup was only about half full to boot. They made me wait over 6 minutes in the drive thru after paying and proceeding to the food pick up window. My passengers orders were priced incorrectly on the sign and so consequently they were overcharged for their meal, which really upset my passengers. Worst McDonald's I've ever encountered. read more

If there was less than a one, I would give it. Every time we go there, we have an issue. Tonight, they missed a sandwich, I even asked at the drive up window if everything was there. This Mcdonalds has been working on changing their restaurant for some time. The inside is much cleaner and nicer as they renovated the entire restaurant. The drive through is quick and the food is typically fresh and hot. They rarely mess up my order and are always very quick to fix it when it is wrong. My experience with the workers has always been very good. I pickup some food from here about three times a week (morning sandwich for the commute). The other reviews are from 5 years ago and in no way reflect this Mcdonalds as is now. read more

They're recently updated the place, so it does look much better. That being said, the food and service has not improved at all. Most likely they will forget part of your order, or give you the wrong items. Very rarely has my order been perfect. But, the kids still love the place, so we keep going back. read more

I used to work here and I can vouch for the incompetency of this restaurant. However, it is not due to bad employees. It is due to one manager, Jane. The employees try their absolute best to provide great customer service but Jane treats her employees so badly that when we work with her, we get so stressed out the last thing on our minds is customer service. Jane has berated us in front of customers on more than one account which leaves our self esteem as an employee in the dust. Instead of telling us how to fix things, she screams. And no, I am not just a disgruntled employee, I had many customers ask me if she always treated us so rudely. Also I would have them feel bad for us. read more

i filled out an application, got a phone call for a job interview. i went there and the hiring manager told me to do this WHAT IF question after i did it i handed it back to her, she come back and said " you didn't get enough points to continue the interview. my thing is they didn't even give me chance so how would anyone get a job there if they based people off the questions.... read more
