McDonald's in Grand Haven is what I look forward to when I have my cancer treaments- at least twice a week. John always asked me how I am feeling and gives me a high five; stephanie comes over- makiing sure everything is clean, and if Steve is in and or Adam, they always ask how I am doing. That makes me feel special- and then the coffee and sandwiches arrive which gets my mind off of the treatment I just had. This is the best McDonald's if you need to feel like you matter and are not just another customer. thanks to all the crew for all you do for me when I come in, sit down, and then leave. There is a holiday movie that this McDonald's reminds me of when strangers all come together on Christmas Eve- not able to get to their destination , and their end up friends. Over this past year, my wife and I have made so many friends at this mcDonald's- and it always makes me feel good. Thanks to everyone, crew and regulars- don reis read more

I've reviewed this place in the past. So this is an update. Usually I use the drive thru, which is very efficient. Also, good people, for the most part manning the windows. Today I decided to eat inside. I ordered a fish sandwich meal at the counter. I took a seat and the food arrived in less than 5 minutes. Looked good. But the fish sandwich was missing the fish! I took it back to the counter and was promptly given a new sandwich, with the fish this time. read more

Good place to eat at, nothing really to complain about. Food came in good timing. Environment isn't too bad either.

I ordered a breakfast sandwich one time a few years ago and it only came with the bun parts. Nothing else. I'd how that even happens besides being lazy. After that I haven't gone here. Tried again and again they are just so lazy they don't add everything to the sandwich. The service is terrible. read more

PAID for breakfast burritos, got there 2 minutes after they stopped serving breakfast so they didn't give me the food I PAID FOR

So I put in an online order. Sat in the curbside area waiting for nearly 20 minutes. Went inside to speak to a Manager and his single reply was would you like a refund? Really? That's your answer? Then it does finally come out and of course it's stone cold! What a waste of time and money! So much for any sense of quality! read more

Aside from the bacon being raw this experience, tried to go back and give it another chance. Waited at second drive thru window and watched 3 cars get served and pull up before I decided to leave. Never going back to this McDonald's again. read more

I used to enjoy going to this Mcdonalds a couple of years ago. I would love the Bacon, egg, and cheese bagels, so I got one this morning. I have not had any food at this Mcdonalds since years ago because I moved, but this place has gone totally downhill. The bagal wasn't heated, or crispy or anything, it was a plain bagel I could have picked up at a dollar store. The bacon looked like microwavable bacon, and the egg looked like school lunch egg. I wouldn't be as upset if it wasn't 6-8 bucks. It's crazy how expensive this place has gotten and the food quality has gotten insulting. No longer going to this Mcdonalds, yuck. read more

To say this was the greatest McChicken i have ever eaten would be a severe understatement. I mean wow. Crispity crunch on the outside, tender juicy meat on the inside, and a toasty bun to seal the deal. Not to mention the service. A very understand and kind roster of staff read more

Typical McDonalds. No kiosk so you will stand in a line. (AND THIS IS MOST IMPORTANT) Count.your.change. A cashier attempted to scam me. It wasn't a mistake. She profiled me (over 70, kinda groggy, kinda feeble). When I called her on it (after she'd already waited on guy behind me) she didn't question, apologize or attempt to argue. Just quickly corrected. read more

I think I can best summarize me experience with this place by just giving you my previous order (6/19/22). I ordered a Double Quarter Pounder, only ketchup, and a 10 piece chicken nugget. When I got home, I found that my "10 piece chicken nugget" was a cold burger in a tiny box. My "double quarter pounder only ketchup" was two cheeseburgers with onions on them, which I'm allergic to. I know this place has a history of not caring, filled with rude employees who think it's okay to vent about how much they hate their job at the drive-thru window, but this is the last straw. Don't bother coming here. Rays, Culver's, Wendy's, even the McDonald's the next town over are far more reliable. The people who work here should be ashamed of themselves. read more

I was at this McDonald's on June 30th around 10:40 a.m. I wanted to order a couple of breakfast burritos but taking my order at the drive-thru said they don't sell breakfast anymore. Not the biggest deal, but then she called me ma'am and I had corrected her that I am a guy, not a woman. Not too long after that she called me ma'am again. I don't know if she thought she was funny or what her problem was but I thought it was very rude and unprofessional. read more

Obviously there's a shortage of catsup and mustard or the person adding condiments isn't fond of either at the Spring Lake McDonald's. Luckily, I was eating my burger at home so I was able to add my own. Also, this is ongoing!! Spring Lake McDonald's is the worst in the area... worth a trip to Grand Haven or Fruitport if you enjoy McDonald's! read more

I ordered a hamburger, which was served raw in the center! There's absolutely no excuse for serving undercooked meat!

Terrible place. I'm not from the area, and stopped here on the way home from the waterfront, and I will never choose to stop at this place ever again, especially after seeing that Jeremy R. found it repulsive as well. I would rather go up a few miles south on US-31 and endure the boulevard turn to patronize the other one I saw much too late. I normally adore the iced lattes. I received iced something, but it definitely was NOT an iced vanilla latte. It may have been iced milk. It was white. No lie, there was no coffee in there whatsoever. It had no whip, and the cup was only about half full to boot. They made me wait over 6 minutes in the drive thru after paying and proceeding to the food pick up window. My passengers orders were priced incorrectly on the sign and so consequently they were overcharged for their meal, which really upset my passengers. Worst McDonald's I've ever encountered. read more

This is quite possibly the single-most terrible McDonalds I have ever been to. It doesn't matter what time you go there, morning, night, weekend, or weekday... or if your order is small or large, it doesn't matter.... they are going to mess up your order no matter what! And take an inordinate amount of time doing so! The staff is dim-witted and rude. I would give this negative stars if I could... read more

If there was less than a one, I would give it. Every time we go there, we have an issue. Tonight, they missed a sandwich, I even asked at the drive up window if everything was there. This Mcdonalds has been working on changing their restaurant for some time. The inside is much cleaner and nicer as they renovated the entire restaurant. The drive through is quick and the food is typically fresh and hot. They rarely mess up my order and are always very quick to fix it when it is wrong. My experience with the workers has always been very good. I pickup some food from here about three times a week (morning sandwich for the commute). The other reviews are from 5 years ago and in no way reflect this Mcdonalds as is now. read more

They're recently updated the place, so it does look much better. That being said, the food and service has not improved at all. Most likely they will forget part of your order, or give you the wrong items. Very rarely has my order been perfect. But, the kids still love the place, so we keep going back. read more

It is what it is. Staff are unprofessional. Loudly insulting each other. Would be better if it had recycling. Shame to see all that cardboard in the trash. Wow you guys! You must've been there when I wasn't working there. Come back again. I'll make sure the staff and everyone is nice to you. Now it's clean it was filthy before I was there. I do agree it was dirty. But as I said it's clean now. the reason why it was probably dirty is because they didn't hire a lobby person cleaner and that's me. So give Grand Haven's Mcdonalds a chance trust me. You won't regret it. Especially if I am on the job and working when I am not cleaning they have to clean ha. read more

I used to work here and I can vouch for the incompetency of this restaurant. However, it is not due to bad employees. It is due to one manager, Jane. The employees try their absolute best to provide great customer service but Jane treats her employees so badly that when we work with her, we get so stressed out the last thing on our minds is customer service. Jane has berated us in front of customers on more than one account which leaves our self esteem as an employee in the dust. Instead of telling us how to fix things, she screams. And no, I am not just a disgruntled employee, I had many customers ask me if she always treated us so rudely. Also I would have them feel bad for us. read more
