this morning around 10am on a Saturday a rude female handed my Big breakfast to me without any condiments and no hash brown of course I saw this at home, this is the McDonald's by Home Depot and Safeway Borgen blvd. You pay even more for food but you get worse service time to find a different spot. read more

Ordered breakfast online and it was 10:40 when I got there to pick it up (breakfast ends at 10:30). And they decided to wait until I got there to tell me my order was canceled. Weird because on my app it told me they were working on my food. 30 minute drive just to tell me they canceled my order without notifying me or my app. read more

Your employees on the register CANT GIVE CHANGE!! Gave a $20 and 46 cents for $10.46 and instead of a 10, I got a $5, 4-$1's and .54 cents. THEY CANT GIVE CHANGE!! To make matters worse the fries were cold. Put someone on the register who can at least do third grade math!!!! read more

This time when we came through the drive thru the discount code from the app didn't work. We ordered 52 dollars in meals. The employees act like it's not their problem and they don't have to address the fact their app isn't applying the discount correctly. The fries were old and soggy. This restaurant manager needs to pay attention to their drive thru customer service. Very disappointed. Also why is the placy place still closed? COVID was 5 years ago...get real McDonald's. read more

Ordered a hot honey snack wrap, was told they were discontinued. I had a family member who ordered one that afternoon in addition to the item being advertised on the drive-thru menu. Asked when they were discontinued, no answer provided, just "what else would you like to order?" Left and drove to Olympic Drive, ordered one no problem. Not discontinued! Called Manager, Addison, at Borgen who didn't care about the situation and rushed off the phone. Disappointing experience and will take my business elsewhere. read more

Every single time I come here the screw up my order! It's very frustrating. Never had a fast food restaurant screw up so many times.

After power outages all over, this place was crowded for breakfast. The little gal who took our late breakfast order was so pleasant under what had to be a stressful morning! Yes, as expected, we waited longer than normal for our food but it was brought to us nice and hot. I watched the same gal throughout our time there and saw how she was w/ anyone who needed her help. Still smiling, courteous, and helpful as she had been earlier. I should have gotten her name. Overall, it was a good experience with good food and good customer service! read more

If you close at 12am , why is it every time before 11pm the ice cream machine is already being cleaned & their excuse is that it's currently not working ? But you can physically see that it's being cleaned when you go to pick up your food through the drive thru? Really silly that something that should be done at the end of service is being done way before ALL THE TIME. read more

Wow I can't believe the bad reviews on here. The teenager who served me was so polite, courteous and well mannered I made a mental note and came here to see if others had the same experience. He must be new. Not all teenagers are spaced out and useless. read more

It's almost as if the managers/ owners train them to forget items, unfortunately this time my husband and son went and didn't check the bag, and I'm not going to drive back and wait for fries and get attitude from their employees over it. Always remember to check your bags here. I'm going to take this one as a loss and make sure my husband checks the bag next time. The one time I called about a missing item they were super rude about it so I'm not going to bother this time hence the review instead of just trying to fix it like I would any normal restaurant. read more

I think I've built enough good karma in my life to absolutely smoke the staff here verbally. You will vote against increasing the minimum wage after visiting this McDonalds. You could be a Mao-ist, but after the number of times you will have your order messed up at this McDonald's, staffed by only spaced out teenagers, you will turn into your republican dad. If you don't check your bag to make sure your order is exactly as you described you will be surprised and what is missing. Big breakfast with pancakes? No syrup. Big Mac hold the cheese? Extra cheese. Dr Pepper? Actually you ordered a Diet Coke. Did you get my order? You don't have an order. Workers of the world should unite, except these specific teenagers. Can't wait to come back and get another messed up order from my favorite McDonald's. 1/5 read more

I ordered a fish sandwich yesterday, March 8, 2024 at about 12:30 PM. I cannot believe how McDonald's fish sandwiches have gone downhill. The sandwiches cost around five dollars now and I understand inflation has caused the price to go up.. but the fish tastes so fishy it's incredibly bad. I don't know where McDonald's is getting the fish now but it has happened a number of times now. I imagine they're getting some farm fish out of Vietnam. That used to be so good with steamed buns and now they're just regular hamburger buns. I just can't get over the fish has no taste just a very bad smell . read more

This is a very well run MacDonald's. Service is extremely fast and efficient inside. I order on the app and in 5 minutes they have it ready. Not only that, they are very friendly and often bring the food to your table. And even ask you how you are and if you need anything! Food is always fresh and with consistent quality -- exactly what you want from a fast food restaurant. It is also clean inside and I frequently see employees cleaning up the dining room. The kitchen must have 6 to 10 people working there! Compare that 2 or 3 at other fast foods around here which take forever to fulfill your order. Drive-through can get backed up though despite having two lanes because they merge back into one. For that reason, I use the app to get curbside or dining room. read more

Friendly and clear drive through person. Taken my payment fast at the first window. Second window was super fast as well. I ordered burrito breakfast meal with orange juice and I used a app code for another burrito. Burritos where perfectly hot and their "mexican style salsa" was a good spicy" hot sauce. First timer at this location. It's also close to Home Depot, Target, Petco and Pier 1 Imports. read more

Amazing service! Obviously, there fries are amazing. I haven't found a single restaurant that matches the tastiness of their fries. I ordered my food using the app and was told to go through the drive thru even though I was parked in the mobile order pickup spot. I then had to wait in the long drive thru line defeating the purpose or ordering ahead. I got my food and drove a few miles down the road only to realize half of my order was missing. I called the store to see if someone could bring the rest of my food to me so I didn't have to sit in the (now even longer) drive thru line. The employee on the phone said they couldn't do that and because they were very busy and someone "just ordered 20 mcdoubles"... oh, I'm sorry to inconvenience you. And I'm glad to know the more you order, the more important customer you are. I sat in the drive thru line and reminded the employee at the first window what happened and showed him my receipt and the half of the order I was already given. I proceeded to the next window where the next employee tried to hand me someone else's food. I told them, again, what I was waiting for and she said "was that communicated at the first window?" Yes it was, but it looks like it wasn't communicated to you. I was given my quarter pounder but yet again, they messed up. I didn't have the fries to go along with it. I had to explain again what happened and what I was waiting for. Finally they rudely handed me the fries and I had my entire order. 40 minutes later I don't mind waiting for my order to be fixed. It's happened dozens of times at McDonalds but never had it been handled this way. I used the app to order ahead and was treated poorly the entire time and, looking back, I wish I wouldn't have used that as I probably would have been given the correct order in the first place. Customer service was extremely poor. I talked to 5 different people and none of them were aware of what was happening and nobody was apologetic. All I heard was how busy they were helping people with larger orders. It's not that hard to fix someone's order but they made it way more difficult than it needed to be. read more

Ok. So I understand that it is a fast food joint. But I used to work for McDonald's (Texas) and I don't recall it being this mismanaged. The service is rarely pleasant an the food continually disappoints. Why do I keep coming back one may ask. I ask myself this every disappointing time after time. And I believe it's hope. The hope that the owner has actually taken the time to come here and have a meal so that he/she may see the disaray his investment is in and fix things. If you are the owner and you are reading this, please for our community's sake clean this place up. Hoping, Daniel read more

Absolutely the rudest customer service. The guy that handed me my food this afternoon said nothing. Even after thanking him he turned around and ignored me. Also not happy that both of the McDonalds in Gig Harbor Washington raised their soft drink prices. I have done a lot of traveling the last couple of weeks and every McDonalds I stopped at still have their drinks at 1 dollar as well as the Tacoma stores. Looks like a greedy franchise owner. read more

I had a terrible experience today. My boyfriend tried picking up my online order for me and the manager on duty ( he didn't catch their name ) was very rude to him. She was very condescending when he asked for help picking this order up. McDonald's - Slow! - Burgers Near Me - Gig Harbor, Washington

Fast food. You can't expect much from this especially with service since well, it is fast food. What bothers me the most is the lack of manners these employees have especially when they did wrong. After receiving our meals through drive thru, we drove off without checking whether we got all that we've ordered. 10 minutes later while on the way home we realized we were missing part of our order so we had to drive back to let them know. No apologies whatsoever, instead we get a response of "well what else do you want " after mentioning how inconvenient it was for us to drive back. Okay, no need to be rude about it. teaching your employees some customer service would probably increase your star ratings. read more

4/12/17 UPDATE: Sent in a complaint. The owner contacted me in less than 24 hours to apologize, let me know he had a meeting set with the manager, and sent me coupons. Very impressed with the response. 4/11/2017: Ordered 3 hamburgers, two plain mcdoubles, 2 10 piece mcnuggets with sweet and sour sauce. Received three mcdoubles, no hamburgers, and creamy ranch sauce. Tried to eat the mcnuggets and they were literally inedible. OMG, time after time (after time!!!!!) my drive through order is wrong. It is the same order every single time and it is simple. Cheeseburger extra pickle, small fry & large coke. How can you get this wrong so often??? Nice people, really poor delivery on the brand promise. Please go to the McDonalds off Sedgwick to see how it is supposed to be done. They are fast, clean, efficient, ACCURATE and friendly. Maybe they can provide you with some spin on the standardized training and QA processes you can't get right. read more

For a McDonalds, this place is great! They have a nice location near everything else that we visit in Gig Harbor (Target, Costco, Petco, Home Depot) that has it's own parking lot separate from the others. They also have a two driveway drive through for those busy nights when you need to get dinner home fast. It's always clean enough and the staff are nice. The only time they messed up my order (drive through of course), I walked in and she already had the right item ready to go with no questions asked as she realized her mistake as soon as I pulled away. I appreciate that memory, although it would have been nice before I drove away :) They have a great indoor play place that seems great for the kids (and a nightmare to me). There are plenty of tables in smaller groupings so you don't feel like one of the herd. read more

Oct 2016: Four separate orders were not filled correctly. Ourselves and then noticing other customers coming after. Missing food and food added that wasn't ordered, according to the receipt. The orders were about 5 minutes apart and it was very slow time. Staff seems to have a hard time with consistently fulfilling orders. Check your order before you leave. This has happened the last three times we visited, drive thru and counter over a period of three months. Staff has a habit of blaming others or the customers for mistakes when you can clearly see the same person at the counter taking the order, is fulfilling the order. A couple of people that have visited that location have made similar comments without knowing our experience. Coffee is great. Food is always hot. read more

This is literally one of the worst Mc Donald's I've been too. I mean the food is fine, the location is great, but the service here is so unbelievably bad they should be ashamed. We have lived in this area for several years now and they mess up the order in the drive-thru honestly 70-80% of the time. We actually have a running joke now in our family about what will be in out grab bag of food when we receive it. Once it was three Big Macs when we ordered a cheeseburger and a salad. Other times it's extra cones, sodas, and sometimes they just leave you hanging at the window for five minutes because they forgot you were there. This is honestly no joke, and widely joked about in town. Pathetic really. If you go here, check your order!!! This is not a joke!! Tonight my wife went in for one of the new cheeseburgers they're selling and a shake. She pulled to the window and a young kid handed her a shake with no straw then walked away. After literally five minutes another girl came to the counter looking puzzled that someone was waiting and asked what she needed. My wife asked if she could have a straw and after she asked another girl behind the first one piped up and said very rudely "Did she really just pull up for JUST a straw??" My wife heard this and said, "No, I'm also waiting for the rest of our food." The first kid came back and said "Oh, sorry I forgot." I know a lady who used to be a trainer here and she even said this location is well known as a notoriously bad franchise. Why is it so hard to run this place? I will say they do great things for the schools here where the students take over the location which helps the schools. It's just too bad they can't figure out the employees here and make this place better. read more

All right, let's work together to get through our pretentiousness about eating fast food and agree that sometimes you just need a beverage and some hot fires... Agreed? I will continue- In the PNW there is this thing called rain. It happens every, say, day or so during parts of the year. Not a surprise. Not a recent change in weather. It happens- SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO why ANYONE build a drive thru menu station and pick up windows without a cover over them? Explain this to me? I got an inch or so of rain just placing my order followed by another two at each stop to pay and get the food. I did appreciate that the female taking the money toughed it out by having a wet arm to take my cash but the little inept idiot at the food window- my thought is that he is the assistant to the assistant manager actually "faked me out" by keeping the bag and himself totally within the confines of the window so I had to stick my entire body into the restaurant to get my items. Poor service. Poor service. Poor service... read more
