I see a bunch of bad reviews here and just thought I would pass along my experiences here. I have always had good service, friendly service, fast and accurate. I use the indoor counter ordering. I'm not a fan of drive through because fast food staff are usually in such a hurry to keep the line moving that mistakes are more prevalent. I prefer going inside and dining in. I believe the staff knows you will be there in case they mess up your order so they take more care but that's just my two cents. I usually stop in during late mornings and order breakfast. The dining room area is always clean including the tables. I also see staff bussing tables and keeping them clean while I am eating. read more

Had just driven in from Fort Worth, and I needed a bathroom and coffee break. Having not been in the Gatesville area for almost 25 years, the town looked totally different from what I remember. (Don't really remember anything of what I saw.) I walked in, ordered from the self-kiosk, and waited for the large coffee I ordered. McDonald's coffee is actually quite delicous, and I thoroughly enjoyed it. The staff and other customers were very friendly and helpful. The building and surrounding premises looked clean and well maintained. If you live in the area, please patronize this restaurant. read more

Food good but changed me 37 cents to donate to McDonalds charity when I never clicked on donate and tables were sticky and table 104 seats looked like there was mold at the end of the seat and floor was dirty and Big Mac didn't have enough Big Mac sauce read more

This is the first time that n forever that I had hot McDonalds nuggets and fries people were friendly

My daughter is trying to collect the happy meal toy right now, and the inconsistencies from shift to shift and day-to-day with the employees at this McDonald's is ridiculous. We go in on first shift and the manager on duty just says go ahead give her the toy.. we go in on second shift and the young lady that was working the other night was very nice. Told us that the toy was still RJ.. Today we go through the drive-through and the first lady that we speak to tells us that the toy is random and I said no ma'am it says on the box exactly what the toy is, then another person gets on the speaker and says our general manager says we're not allowed to tell you what the toy is or sell the toy by itself. Which we know is a lie being we've been buying these toys by themselves from every McDonald's in Killeen and Temple and twice at the one here in Gatesville in the last nine days since the toy has changed. The people working in the drive-through just didn't want to take the time to look in the box and read and tell us what the toy was so instead of just losing one day's business this McDonald's will lose all business from me because I will just go someplace else. I am sick and tired of being a Customer and being treated like I am inconveniencing the employee when it is their job to serve us that is what they chose to do.. McDonald's is supposed to be a corporation that has guidelines set so why is it that the inconsistencies from one McDonald's to the next or from one shift to another shift is so apparent. This is just a lack of work ethic and laziness and people not wanting to take the time to perform good customer service. read more

So i ordered a mc chicken and they gave me one of those breakfast plates a mc chicken without the buns and this buffalo spicy sauce and my bacon was scattered around the plate read more

McDonald's - This is the food - Burgers Near Me - Gatesville, Texas

It says open 24 hours a day and it's right next to a ball field. Maybe they should get the schedules because obviously there's going to be a rush after games on tournaments. Worst service ever! read more

Seriously the WORST FN McDonalds I have EVER BEEN TO!! Make sure you set aside 3 hours of your life to wait for them to make you chicken nuggets! Especially after the hours of 9 pm. Don't expect to get your food ever! They should seriously shut this McDonald's down! It's giving all the others a bad name! read more

I'm a disabled vet....I only eat twice daily because of the low amount SSD pays us. Dont go to this establishment. The service beginning at the manager is horrible! read more

Order taken quickly & correctly at drive-thru. Pickup window was fast. Food was hot & tasty. Will visit again.

Did not give me syrup for the pancakes the service there is really slow and the wait is long

worst service ever if you like waiting 30 minutes for one thing it's the place for you

Worst service ever.. wait in the drive thru 25 minutes, while cars that pulled in after us get their order taken before us. the wait is so long I call the actual McDonalds (I'm told they have one cook). I can understand being short handed what I can not understand is the inconsistency of the drive-through, having to wait for our food when others are getting their food, the very old fries (there's only one cook they should be to order and fresh) and employees outside taking breaks and no napkins no sauce or WE ARE SORRY!! WOW how do you stay open??? WORST FRIES EVER!!!! read more

Horrible. Turn around. Don't come here. Service slow. Disorganized and unprofessional.

The food is good. The service is fast. But the ice cream machine is not working.

Since it's the only McDonald's in town, I give it three big stars. Milkshakes and french fries but more so the french fries are what they're known for. read more

So I would like to tell people about the customer service and portion sizing which is why it is a 2 star review. The guy at the window after I asked for 2 ranches, he told me it was 50 cents then proceeded to grunt and sigh when I said okay I'll buy it. I then opened my bag and saw that my large fry is not a large fry but more of a small or medium. It is ridiculous how employees don't give you what you pay for. Hope the owner sees this read more

This McDonald's is probably the worst I've ever been too and why I say this is because they are always short staffed so it's slow, they have 1 girl running in and out taking orders and bagging the food while I see at least 1 managers just sitting around on her phone. If you wanted to go through the drive through, you might wanna bring a pillow cause it's gunna take at least 5 minutes until they take your order. Then don't even try and ask for any condiments, they will forget it every time. And just about every time I go, my fries are always cold. DO NOT EAT HERE UNLESS ITS YOUR LAST RESORT. read more

This place is usually what you'd expect from McDonald's. But, today I found a dead ant in my fries. Ugh! read more

McDonald's - A dead ant in my French fries. Gross! - Burgers Near Me - Gatesville, Texas

This is typical McDonald's with good and mediocre service. Usually they take care of customers but than other times not. It isn't special or unique. The # of customers there is somewhat surprising. I never get more than coffee there. The coffee is average and nothing particularly good. read more

If I could give NO STARS, I would. This McDonald's is the worst. Employees are extremely rude. If they get the order right, which they rarely do, the food is cold and old. If you tell them the order is wrong or if you tell them it's cold, they get very angry at the customer! It's not the customer who is serving the food! We went in this weekend with my grandchildren and order 3 regular meals that included fries and a drink. We also ordered two happy meals. We were dining in the dining area. When the employee brought the order the n one tray, we noticed immediately that there were no fries. We asked where the fries were and she got a disgusted look in her face and said "let me see your receipt". I showed her where we ordered and paid for meals where the fries were included. She went to the back and brought us one order of fries. I asked "where's the other two fries!". Once again, she had an attitude and went back to the kitchen area. When she returned, she said her manager told her to check our table to make sure I didn't already have the fries. ARE YOU KIDDING ME? YOU BROUGHT THE FOOD OUT TO ME AND SAW THERE WERE NO FRIES! They were accusing me of stealing french fries! I was appalled. We asked to speak to the manager and the employee (with a really bad attitude) turns to go back to the front counter and tells, "He's mad and wants to speak to the manager". Really???? The restaurant was full of customers on a Sunday at lunch and you're acting like that?!?! You embarrassed me in front of everyone when this whole thing is YOUR FAULT? The point is that the employees there are the worst and they treat their customers (who's money goes toward their salary) badly. I'll never go back. I would advise other customers to spend their money supporting another restaurant in town. read more

Worst service ever. Set in drive thru for 30 minutes. We were blocked and couldn't get out. Then set at order speaker 10 more minutes. 15 additional minutes to get food. Then order was wrong. If you're in a hurry, want the correct order or hot food don't by giving here! read more

The only McDonalds in the country that literally can not get anything right. They even mess up sodas. One time they ran out of burgers at lunch time. The incompetence flows like a waterfall from management to the restroom cleaners who are confused about how to load a toilet paper roll. read more

This place has always sucked .bad service and poison food .would not feed it to anyone I cared about

I'm only giving 1 star because I have too. The service and management at this store is very poor. The food is never correct and the employees are more interested in playing grab ass read more

I shouldn't get pissed off when going through the drive through at any fast food establishment, but McDonalds has a special ability to absolutely boil my blood. I do food delivery and sometimes my family wants food from there so I'm frequently going through the drive through. On a random day I use the drive through 2-3 times without a hiccup, then something special happens, the employee at the window has rotated the card reader to the outside, you know, so the customer has to swipe their own card, from their car. I find that very unprofessional and inconvenient and sometimes impossible to reach. On the day that it was impossible to reach the employee refused to take my card an swipe it, said he couldn't touch my card. Why were you standing there then? It's very similar to what happened this morning, but the lady did take and swipe my card after I attempted to swipe it but was in gear and moving towards window #2 when she yelled and said my card didn't swipe. read more

Never 100% sure when you will get fresh stuff even when they make you wait you still get double fried nasty stuff

Most people go to McDonald's for consistency, price and you know what you are getting. Well, in this case not true. Every time I go my order is incorrect. Then they ask you to pull up and park and they will "bring your order out" at this point just be ready to get out and go get your order from inside because they will not ever come out. On the bright side they have the best hot chocolate, coffees and biscuits in town. Just check your drink and bag before leaving read more
