I ordered table service through the app. This McDonald's is very popular with the local community and feels like a community center. Would be great for a political campaign tour. A long car line, so I ended up parking and heading inside. Order at the kiosk was fine, albeit it was out of paper. Ice tea tasted terrible, though... like leftover coffee. At least their ice cream cone was good... half disappointed. Outside seating was nice and clean, though, so that was a good place to wrap up the ice cream before driving. read more

Normally when you have an issue with an order you pull up and the manager or server will assist you in correcting things. I waited like 20 minutes to speak to someone and when she did come out, she was immediately unpleasant and confrontational. All I wanted was a refund for the food that I didn't get. After explaining it six ways from Sunday because she simply couldn't be bothered to even try to understand my concern, I left and told my credit card company to do a chargeback. It would be one thing if the burgers were still like 2 bucks but yall charge restaurant level prices and still pay your employees garbage. Usually in fast food establishments in less than desirable areas you have to pay for condiments( ketchup, bbq, sweet n sour sauce) It's a tale tell sign that the clientele is well..has life experience. Anyways, I ordered my usual number 7 ( two cheeseburgers no cheese) , when I got my food I asked for a sweet n sour sauce. To my surprise she said it's 25 cents..say what?! I like sweet n sour so I paid the 25 cents and went on my way. It's lame for an establishment as busy and profitable as this to charge 25 cents for a sauce packet. On principle alone I will probably frequent the other nearby McDonalds. It's nice and pretty clean inside. You can order via their kiosk or place your order at the register. I order at the register. After ordering, I found a seat/table and they brought my food to my table. This place looks so much better than it was before they renovated. I did notice a table that wasn't clean. However, the see was quick. I rarely eat McDonald's. I love their Southwest Chicken Salad. I may stop by if I'm in the mood for a salad. read more

Ok just wanna start off saying that the staff here is like day and night. One crew is fantastic. The lady at the drive through has a heart of gold and always makes my day. The food is always good when she's there. The past two times my boyfriend and I went; the same rude Spanish lady was there, and guy that comes off very awkward. Very uncomfortable and unpleasant. The food is pretty bad when they're there. Our cheeseburgers smelled funky and the meat was definitely bad. The smell was AWFUL like burning plastic.. GROSS. I'm really disturbed and why were my fries wet ?????? Just disgusting.. Came into pick up a doordash order and not a single worker acknowledged me, everybody looked at me and didn't say a word, there was no one else in the cafe and only two cars in the drive through. The person packaging the order had their mask below their chin and eventually asked for my order number and handed me the bag without saying a single word. Have to agree with the reviews of some of the workers. Both their drink machines not working for in service. The trainee I was dealing with was empathetic and nice. He asked a question of the senior worker and she could care less about the situation and offered no alternatives. Just basically its broken and too bad for you. There are some great workers here but they are among the bad apples and will probably learn from them. Believe me I know it's not the greatest job in the world but if that's what u got take some pride in it I've had shit jobs too most have in life But don't take it out or show to customers. I'm not sure what's going with this McDonald's in Garwood NJ but everytime I order a McChicken from there its always dry and disgusting like they're giving me old food and I'm sick of it I won't be buy from this McDonald's anymore. As nice as the staff is at this McDonalds, it doesn't make up for the fact that the fries taste like they've been left out and reheated, not to mention doubly salted. I don't get McDonalds often so when I do I really look forward to having some crisp tasty fries. These were spongy at best. That'll make or break my decision to ever go there again. Love love love this McDonald's. I come here for the breakfasts and the food is fresh, tasty, and well prepared. I'm a coffee purist and this place puts Dunkin' Donuts and Starbucks to shame. And for $1 any size, this coffee's steal. Service is also prompt and fast. Only drawback--while the restaurant is clean, it feels a bit dated but that's largely due to the dark '80s floor tiles. read more

The store manager has a horrible attitude and customer service. We were missing an item. (I think I may be the person the prior review refers to.) We noticed before even pulling away from the store. We immediately pull in through the drive thru again and let them know at the speaker box. We were ignored. We pull up to the first window the cashier tells us to pull up to second window. There was the store manager and another employee. She insisted she remembered the order and there are two boxes in our bag. We agree, yes one box for a sandwich and one box for the 10 piece chicken nuggets (and the spicy chicken nuggets are in a baggie) but we're missing another order of 6 piece chicken nuggets. They begin speaking Spanish to each other... and so do I. You are not about to speak another language in front of my husband (he was in the drivers seat) thinking he doesn't understand. I spoke Spanish to them from the passenger side of the car. Once they saw I spoke Spanish they switched back to English. She said if we want another order we have to pay. But we did pay for the item and were missing it. She asks for me to pass the two bags back to her through the drive thru window (are you serious?) I tell her I'd be coming inside. As soon as I go in with my two bags she riffles through one... and realizes our order of 6 piece chicken nuggets was never put in our bag and they are still sitting at the prep table. She doesn't say one word to me. Just puts the nuggets in my bag and walks away. An apology would have been great. People make mistakes and this mistake was very easy to fix. But I guess the $2.39 for the chicken nuggets gets taken from her pay check? I've had a problem with the same manager but nothing as chaotic as her horrific attitude on 2/20/21. Also our order was wrong we ordered TWO 6 piece spicy chicken nuggets and the cashier rung up one spicy and one regular. Do better. And if the manger would like to arrange for me to explain this to her in her native language I'd be more than happy to. read more

This used to be a good McDonald's. Since the renovation there has been a significant drop in the quality of staff and food at this location. Tonight, after the gym, I stopped for some chicken selects, fries and a coffee. What was served to me was all cold and the fries tasted stale. When I asked for a fresh coffee that was hot, the stout lady at the window with an Eastern European accent began giving me an attitude. I told her that the coffee was cold and she began to argue with me. Then she told me to pull over to the drive thru area to wait. Once I tries the fries and chicken, I abandoned this bad idea. How can you not give McDonald's a 5-star, for what it is. I visit this location at least three times per week after work. This place is very nice. Have you gone inside? It's really nice... they just finished a recent upgrade and the place is up to date. They offer table service, and they also have two big boards that you walk up to and you can order your food on the spot. Last comment is that the drive through has two dirveways to order your food and IMO, they move you through quick with friendly service. To me that is a 5-star for what it is. Tom. read more

The food is good but the the restaurant is bad. They really need a renovation. All of the other McDonald's are fully renovated and so much nicer. This one is so dirty and they really don't ever clean it. I don't go here often and it needs to be cleaned and renovated.
