I found this place early on, and it quickly became cemented into our Saturday morning routine. These are top tier donuts I'd compare to any other revered place you've been to. I don't normally go for headlights, but here they're my first choice because the frosting is perfect. This past summer they started using the location for the Afternoon Scoop, where they're not afraid to combine these donuts with soft serve or Perry's ice cream. And huge bonus points to them for staying open through the winter. It definitely gets expensive coming here. I may just be out of touch with normal prices, but it feels kind of high here, with donuts starting at $2.00 a piece. The only other drawback is that they can sell out any time. Some mornings I show up at 10:00 and there's almost nothing left. If anything, it speaks to the quality of the product, and you can always get around it by showing up early.

Well here we are a place we can go grab a half dozen donuts and coffee and head to work. Anyone that knows that making donuts is both an art and a passion. Not to borrow from the other aforementioned but there is a reason for the image of "it's time to make the donuts" and early rising of the donut man. The same is true today. It takes dedication and attention to deal. Here the proof is in the first bite. Here I think there is something for everyone from the more standard donut to the more premium. I was delighted when I found they have pistachio flavor for your latte. I've been asking around for the past two years when I first had a pistachio latte in the Adirondacks of all places. Again, it was a nice diverge from the normal and the everyday. I give the new owners and staff props for braving this new economy and hope they continue with what they have going.
