Went thru the drive thru window, senior drink & med fries. Paid at the first window. Got to second window, they gave a regular size drink & sr drink, we said that was not our order. They asked for reciept, & first window asked if we had wanted it, had turned it down. Or mistake but line was busy, asked them to confirm with first window, only one other car had paid their order. Well, we got accused of a lot of things, but when they said we don't give out free food, like we were trying to steal something. I placed the order in the app and when I arrived there were several cars ahead of me. I pulled up and was immediately told to wait. After about 3-4 minutes they finally asked something through the speaker. Still have no idea what they said at all but I gave them my app order number and they said pull around. That's literally the only thing I could make out with everything they said. Because we got double quarter pounders, they are made fresh so we expected a wait. And we were sent to the 3rd window. Our wait was actually very minimal. Their fries were perfectly salty and the food was amazing. I actually like that there is a third window at the drive through, it makes it where the workers can service you without having to go out in the rain etc. it's the only restaurant I've seen that had the 3rd window. There are two McDonald's in Elizabeth city and this one is BY FAR better than the one on Ehringhaus. We've gone to the Ehringhaus location a dozen times and the fries are always hard and not salted and the burgers themselves are somehow flavorless. This location beats them. So we will now be passing that one to go to this one. As for the ambiance, the drive through worked the way a drive through is supposed to work. read more

This has to be the worse McDonalds in town, Customer service is non existence if you are trying to place an order at the register you will be ignored as employees are to busy on their phones and simply will not help you forcing you to either use the kiosk or leave. I witnessed 8 people walk out due to the lack of being able to get service to place their order. Food was luke warm at best and had to ask for condiments that should have been given with order BUT NO that would have been doing their job instead had to try to get their attention to receive them. WILL NEVER RETURN to this location as they simply don't care. And these are the same workers that think they deserve $15 an hour LOL read more

I've had bad experiences here but on 30 Sep it was the worse. The lady taking my order was rude and not helpful at the drive thru. She told me they were out of drinks and when I asked what drinks were available she said they were posted on the board (the same drinks I asked for were on the board). The order was wrong and I caught it at the second window and tried to tell me what I order when I told her was incorrect. Just a nasty experience. The cheeseburger was barely put together and apple slice was a day old. Attention to detail is not their strong point. read more

Horrible service and attitudes from the employees. The greeting, "What you want to order?" is pretty pathetic. Cold food. Limp fries.

I do enjoy my McDonald's. And it just so happens this establishment is close to my route. When stopping by, This establishment is always understaffed. To be in a same area as a shopping center and highway 17 one would think with all the business this establishment recieves they would have more workers. Also, workers are always on their phone! Even behind the cash register and where food is being prepared. And some of the workers here have attitudes. The Drive through takes forever! Prepare to wait 10 to 20 minutes. Additionally, at the drive through, you can hear people in the background cussing. And when you go inside expect a wait as well. And lastly, I did not see a sanitation grade at the drive through window. Owners of this McDonald's establishment need to make some changes! Unfortunately, I will have to start going to another McDonald's inthis area! read more

The worst experience I have ever had at a McDonald's. I placed an order via the mobile app and when I get to the window to pick up my order they tell me they can't process the order on their screen, mind you, I have already paid for the food in the app. I went in to talk to the manager about getting my food and I spoke with a young lady that may have been an assistant manager and she was being very helpful but when she went to speak with the manager above her, that's when things got really nasty. For one thing the manager wouldn't even come out to speak to me, she kept relaying messages through the young lady and I could hear her being really nasty in the background saying "she's not getting a refund and we're not giving her the food because she hasn't paid for it". I went through the app and it specifically says your card is charged once the order is placed and to get a refund you need to go into the restaurant. I wasn't even asking for a refund, I just wanted to get the food I paid for. They took my information and said the District Manager was supposed to be calling me right away and I waited and waited and no phone call ever came through. So in the end I walked away feeling totally disrespected and on top of that they didn't give me refund or my food after I waited for over thirty minutes just to get the manager to come out and actually talk to me. I don't even give this place a one star rating. I placed a mobile order for curbside. After about a 20 min wait, I got out to check on my order. I was in no hurry, but when the lady met me at the door with my order minus the sweet tea I ordered said, "Oh!! you were waiting out here", I lost it. Clearly reading isn't a requirement because I'm looking at the receipt in her hand that says curbside. Ok past that, my Big Mac is cold because it sat on their counter instead of being brought to me as this is a service they offer. But remember that sweet tea? I have to remind her again and she brings me a cup. Guess what??? The machine in the lobby is out of ice. Glad I'm just passing through because this is tragic. read more

Threw it right in the trash. Not sure how they stay in business. The girl informed me they only had 3 people working. Asking for a friend need some real help here this is ridiculous!! Edit: was trapped in drive through so long Menu changed and item I went to get was now offered on all day breakfast menu so they "didn't" have it. Was able to escape once I pulled past the menu board also speaker needs to be fixed or attendant needs to be trained how to use microphone one of the two. Trash! Walked into the bathroom and there was shit all over the toilet! The drink machine area was disgusting, trash was all over the steel surface. Dr Pepper was out, didn't even want to try the tea by the looks of the urns. All but one table was dirty. Staff sitting at the register on their phones with no regard for customers. read more

Very clean and friendly. I enjoy coming here after shopping around the stores to grab a bite to eat and sit down, the place has a very warm and homey feel to it that makes me want to take my time eating. Great food and great service! read more

We visited this store last night. They were very disorganized. The staff was arguing with each other. There were no tops for the soda cups so my husband asked for some and the lady at the counter said, "Sorry, we didn't put them out because we are having a real bug problem and the bug man is coming tomorrow." It took 20 minutes for the food to come out and we were told it was because I ordered the chicken tenders. It didn't matter, my husband and I were so grossed out by the bug comment we dropped the food in the trash on the way out. read more

I waited 30 minutes JUST FOR A LARGE FRY, and this blonde-lady took a good 10 minutes just to take my order! Unacceptable.

If you patronize this place, be prepared to be treated like a criminal! OK, here is my almost unbelievable story: Decided to go there one morning for breakfast. Got to the register and ordered two egg mc muffins & a sweet tea. So I pull out a $20 bill and hand it the the cashier. She begins holding the bill up to the light and squinting at it. Then she remarks that she can't see the little strip inside it. I then say jokingly "well that could be because I just freshly printed it before I came here" , which only got a blank look from the overly serious young lady. What she did next was totally unexpected and downright hilarious. She takes out a bill marking pen and begins scribbling all over the bill, making orange marks all over it. I then tell her that I will need her to exchange that bill for a new one, because she has just defaced it and I'm not sure I can spend it anymore. I told her I will take the new bill she gives me and go buy breakfast somewhere else. At this point, the manager, a tall burly fella, comes over to see whats going on. And I tell HIM the exact same thing I told her: that I need a new $20 dollar bill because you marked all over the one I gave you and very likely made it unspendable. So he stands there and argues with me telling me that I can take the bill somewhere else and I should have no problem spending it. I explained to him that if I accepted the bill back, as soon as I walk out the door it's no longer his problem and he's off the hook(which is what he wanted). I made it clear the only way out of this was to replace my defaced $20 bill with a different one. He finally agreed to do this, but did so reluctantly. This is by far and above the most bizzare experience I've ever had in a business establishment. The manager apparently knew he screwed up when he trained his employee to deface customers property and he didn't want to own up to it. He was hoping the problem would just "go away".
