Let me precept this review by saying the young lady working the microphone for the drive-through and taking the money was very friendly and accommodating with a personality that is probably very under utilized at this train wreck of a restaurant. I unfortunately had a catastrophic flight issue in Houston that made the option to drive back home to Florida more viable than trusting the airline's standby and guaranteed seat policy two days after my original scheduled departure. I took the exit off I-10 to grab a hot coffee and apple pie since at this point I had driven about 10 hours - the dimly lit aging building should have been enough of a sign for me to detour and choose another option but it's McDonald's and certainly coffee and a prepackaged microwaved pie couldn't be much of a risk and by risk I mean food safety. After paying and being thanked I was then updated before pulling forward that they have no apple pies but they did have blueberry muffins so I sub'd it. I pulled up to retrieve the products then sat with no visible sign of life at the window, I did notice how old and in ill repaired the kitchen appeared to be from my view. Finally a non-motivated person appearEd who's mug didn't provide me with any confidence that I'd receive anything of value here. After an exhaustive wait with no communication I received the poorest quality products I may have ever received from any fast food restaurant. Counted at least 5 workers sitting in the building and waited at an empty drive through line for 10 minutes before finally leaving. They appear to have a problem with operating efficiently. Now, add their attempt at instituting a Covid 19 plan and you have a real disaster. The double drive thru line wrapped around the building and spilled into the road. It was barely moving. I decided to go in. I was driving through and got my daughter a happy meal they gave me a pack of opened apples I sent them back in to get me a new pack. I then opened the chicken nuggets to hand to my daughter and they have dust and hair on them. Don't even look good and they made my McChickens very sloppy absolutely disappointed. Wished I could give this place zero stars. Nastiest place I have ever walked. I feel bad my shoes had to endure their floor. My friend and I were hungry so decided to search up the nearest McDonald's available. If only I knew how bad the service was I would've never decided to go there. I only ordered a 10 piece chicken nugget meal but waited more than 40 minutes just to receive it. Just wanted to grab a bite to eat on our way home from a week vacation. It seemed like a benign location - not a big city or anything. The place was nuts. The drive-through was out to the road, so we went in to order, use the restroom, etc. However, went we went to back out, the drive-through line was blocking us. The service time was awful. I think it took 40 minutes to get our food. The whole front area was full of people standing around waiting for their food. We waited in drive thru line for about 15 minutes just to place our order and then waited another 10 minutes at the third window and people behind us got their food so we drove to the "drive thru reserved" spot so those people could leave. We ordered 10 piece chicken strips combo large size and regular Big Mac combo. I had to go in and get the food and it was chaos at the counter. Lots of customers waiting for their food and the workers looked like they were lost. They ran out of Dr. Pepper and the fries had no salt. Ridiculous that they can't get it together. Not only did they mess up the order (no worries, happens to everyone) when the nice cashier asked his colleagues for assistance they were not only rude to me and my husband, they were rude to their coworker.
