The Dacula McDonalds is a hit or miss, most of the time we do not get our order complete and accurate. Often we are left checking our order to make sure that our order is accurate and correct before driving off. Should we have to do this? Absolutely not, after all McDonald's does not pay their customers to do the work of their employees. The food is hit or miss as well, we either get hot fresh fries with our order, or cold soggy fries with our order...we prefer hot fresh fries, don't you? McDonald's advertises Coca-Cola as soft drink options, to be honest, I can't remember the last time I had a true tasting icy cold Coca-Cola at McDonald's. The Coke takes more like store brand then it does the true brand. I often have to order the Sweet tea because of this, there is something off about the mix of each soft drink they are using. The customer should receive their order correct and complete the first time, we shouldn't have to drive all the way back from our house to get our order replaced. Also, if a customer is ordering at the drive thru and their order won't be ready when they get to the window, it shouldn't be a question on should we give the customer part of their order or wait until we can give them their complete order hot and fresh. I shouldn't be handed fries when the chicken nuggets aren't ready, my order should be given to me hot, fresh and complete, even if I have to be asked to pull forward and someone will bring it out to me. I realize that both corporate stores and franchises are run differently. However, it shouldn't be that way, regardless how the store is owned; all stores should be required to follow the same rules. Having been a former McDonald's employee, I often see mistakes made at many Metro Atlanta stores. The store I once worked at, the fries couldn't be sitting out for more than 15 minutes, after 15 minutes they could not be served and had to be discarded, same goes for the other food. It comes down to food safety and making sure that your customers are served the freshest food possible each time. We realize we are not the only customers who have issues with this location. However, if more people brought issues to the manager's attention, it could be a wake up call for more training to be done with the employees. It takes hard work and dedication to run a store effectively and make the customers happy. There should be no excuses why employees cannot verify the order, make the order correct and complete the order with all items on the ticket ordered before handing the order to the customer. Some employees take their job for granted, but in this economy, there are so many people who are looking for work and would do a much better job than some of the employees at McDonald's. For the record, when my husband drove back to the store, he called to say he was on his way and address the issue of our order placed. The employee, who answered the phone, let the phone hang while my husband heard everything going on. It was when he got to the store; he had seen the phone still hanging. He was not the only customer who received the wrong/incomplete order; another lady came in to get her order replaced as well. It was then the manager, Orlando realized he had an issue and said "it looks like I need to do more training". I think from now on, we will go to the McDonalds up in Bethlehem, GA. We tend to get better service at that location and more times an employee who speaks and understands English. read more

If only I could have given zero stars. I Placed an order via the app, when I got home there was no patties in the big Mack sandwich. Before they left out a sandwich out of my order. We rarely do fast food only during certain times but Two times is enough, my money is best spent elsewhere. read more

I've never been a fan of McDonald's food, but my kids request it so we go there on occasion. Tonight was such an instance, and we drove through for happy meals, cheeseburgers and fries on the way home. If we had not been diligent, we would have only gotten the happy meals and not the cheeseburgers and fries for the adults. Those we had to ask for at the second window before driving away. Plus, my son's milk jug was smashed in two places and it took awhile for them to retrieve a replacement from the back. Finally, after the short drive home, the food was barely warm, which tells me that it wasn't hot and fresh to begin with. The things I like about this location are that the staff is usually friendly, the dining room is usually clean, there is free wifi, a good sized indoor play area for kids, and I love the McCafe hot chocolate and frappes. read more

Some days it's good. Some days it isn't. It's McDonald's. I almost always order a filet-O-fish combo and have to pull up to wait on my meal. I believe they recognize me now due to my car, which is nice. I dont know why fast food is unpredictable at times but this McDonald's isn't too bad because it can be really packed at certain times of the day. And thank goodness it's 24/7 so you can always end up with something to eat no matter when. The manager has always been really accommodating if my meal was screwed up, though. read more

Consistently the slowest drive through service I've ever experienced. It would be faster to drive to a completely different McDonalds, order for 15 people including milkshakes, only to have the milkshake machines broken, wait for them to fix the milkshake machines, get your order, wait at the longest possible train crossing, get home and realize you're locked out of your house, call a locksmith, get in your house, realize you lock your keys in the car along with the drinks, call the locksmith again, get the keys and drinks out of the car, and finally sit down and eat. I realize that's over the top, but all that is still probably faster than the drive through line at this McDonalds read more

This is the absolute worst McDonald's. Do not go here if you have any type of schedule to keep. You will wait at the drive thru for 30 minutes +. Every. Time. Its November 25th at 1am and the service is horrible. I'm sitting in line as we speak. They are being incredibly slow. I did not get a recipe at first window. Had to ask twice and the whole order took like 20 mins. There was an African American working and a white women with brown hair. Please management take this seriously and talk to your employees. I am giving this McDonalds location two stars. What that basically means is they get 4 stars for their morning/breakfast on the food and the management/service. Anytime after breakfast it goes down like crazy and only gets 1 star. Of course, the only reason I ever come here in the evenings is if my son wants to play on the playground. That is one thing I will say about this location is that I like the playground. However, that is mainly because Dacula parents are a lot better than Lawrenceville parents, thus, the quality of the children's behavior is better at this one than at other locations that are near my house. Basically, if ChickFilA had a bigger, better playground this Mickey D's location would never see me other than during breakfast hours. I think the few good managers and assistants that they have happen to be on morning shifts at this location. I agree with Richard R that Ray Kroc would be turning over in his grave. All he would need to do is visit 2 locations anywhere in the country and they would see that his "system" has been greatly compromised. Actually, I think McDonalds is probably more consistent now than they were even 5 years ago on lunch and dinner menu/shifts. The problem is, they are CONSISTENTLY BAD!!! The girl with the pink hair tried to finesse me out of my money by not giving me all my change back. It wasnt just a few dollars either, it was about 15 dollars she tried to take me from! She then refused to open the window back up so I could request the rest of my change. Occasionally looking up at me hoping I would just drive off. Finally after two people had driven away behind me due to waiting at least 10-15 minutes, she opened the door and gave me the rest of my change. She made some wack excuse as to why she gave me the wrong change but it was very obvious what she was trying to do and Im very sure she probably is doing that to other customers as well. When I asked to speak to the manager, he gave me a very slick backhanded response basically asking me if I got my change back. Obviously I did but thats not the point. The point is, your employees are attempting to steal from customers. Im not really a complainer either but this experience was one for the books. They've gotten better, but for a couple of years after they opened, they weren't trying to get orders right. I talked to several managers and supposedly a GM, but it never got better, so I asked to have the franchise owner call me. I followed up and was assured he had been given my message, but I never heard anything. I didn't eat there for about a year, but I got tired of driving to Buford Drive if I was craving McD's. The workers are more concerned with doing things a certain way than they are helping customers, and it's not rare to stand at the counter a minute or so because the crew is working on a drive thru order. One of the worst McDonald's I've been to, the place is sooo dirty. It's as if it was last cleaned 2-3 years ago. Whenever I order my food inside the service is decent but when I order my food in the drive thru, they give me the complete opposite of what I ordered. Really frustrated with this location. They leave stuff out of the bag too often. I usually don't complain about this stuff, I get that human error occurs, mistakes happen, it's fine. But they happen SOOOO often here. From now on I will most definitely go through my itemized receipt and verify I've got everything before moving on. I even called them when I got home to complain, something I never do, but no one picked up the phone. On today's visit they left out a bagel sandwich and 3 hash browns, that was the breaking point for me. On a different occasion, the lady taking the order through the drive-thru kept getting my order wrong. She repeatedly it back correctly at the end, but the end result was I ended up with the wrong meal, it was actually a cheaper meal. When I got to the second window, a manager (lady with glasses and tattoos) handed me my order and I nicely explained it was wrong, i had ordered a larger meal... had my card out to pay the difference. I see a girl with a headset walk up and ask the manager "Did I do it wrong?"... manager says, "No, you did it right, just give it to him". Made me feel as though she thought I was scamming them or something. The food is good, no complaints there. But terrible management/employee training in the drive-thru. I grew up in dacula my entire life, before there was even a McDonald's in dacula. It was built while I was in high school and when it first opened it was great. McDonald's is McDonald's, so I don't expect 5 star service, but the one in dacula has gone completely down hill since it was first built. The dacula area has grown severely in the past decade and along with the growth came shitty people. I can't explain enough how bad the customer service is at the dacula location now, Smh. There is a woman there with glasses who claims she is the manger (during late night/early morning hours) and tbh I have no idea who put her in that position. I'm an AGM and I would never hire her as a manager, maybe not even period. She has no customer service skills at all and actually comes off loud, arrogant and rude. I came with family at a later hour and when we walked in, there was already a man standing waiting to get his order taken. The cashier was helping the drive through person and came back to the register multiple times to get things and take her sweet time and not once acknowledged us or the guy patiently waiting and I'm a pretty patient person. The "manager" continued to "clean" even though she saw us all standing there and had headphones in while doing so, so we just sat there waiting and waiting. Finally, our orders were taken and we went to sit down at a table to wait. After getting our food, as we started eating, the "manager" proceeded to come near our table and sweep and I don't mean just around us lightly, I mean almost sweeping my feet and doing it hard enough to blow the dirt everywhere. We wondered why, since the whole place was empty, she chose to sweep right under us the whole time which in my opinion is not using common sense and actually very rude....I would NEVER do that. Then as we proceeded to eat she yelled out into the restaurant, "Ight, floors bout to get wet!" And started to come out with the mop bucket, but then she saw her friend come in and she said, "oh nvm, now since "so and so" are here I'll wait"....which kinda blew my mind that she was willing to then mop around us while we ate, but stated since her friend came in she would wait to mop, telling me she does have sense and she's just rude as hell. After we finished our food and went to leave I walked by her and said, "you are very rude and should not be in customer service or the position you're in" and she took out her headphones and said "what did you say?" And I so I repeated myself and one of the employees started to get upset and say something as she said "yea? Well I'm glad you feel that way and told me to get out". Yea I was a little blunt, but I was surprised at how bad her customer service was and headphones in her ears the whole time to where you take them out to hear people IF you want to? She didn't even clean, looked as if she was doing things to look good on camera tbh. I'll never go back to that location and I'll drive to the next city. It's sad to see McDonald's has turned into something contributing to the downfall of dacula. read more

I usually get efficient and fast service at most McDonald's locations, but this location made us circle around 2 times until someone finally helped us with the drive thru then proceeded to take around 10 minutes for us to receive our food when there was only 1 car ahead of us. Then when we handed the cashier at the second window my 3 day old IPhone X she then proceeded to drop it while in the process of giving it back and now my phone has external damages to the screen and corner due to the workers lousy handling.
