McDonald's is everywhere. They're america's favorite fast food chain. It was quite nice for me, since driving a lot here in the mid Atlantic makes me hungry. I stopped here for brunch on a recent Tuesday stop on my way to Pittsburgh, PA. It was about 3 hours to Pittsburgh PA from Winchester, VA, winding through the back roads of Maryland and West Virginia, and I made a stop here just outside of Cumberland, Maryland on the Maryland 51 state Highway for food, sustenance, wifi, and a break from driving. Stomach was definitely growing for lunch and ended up skipping the free breakfast at the Red Roof Inn due to me sleeping in late. Oh the joys of being on vacation, yet on a timed agenda too. So, here I was on the road to Pittsburgh and ended up at McDonald's here in Cumberland, MD. I arrived here at around 9:45am and it wasn't too crowded. It was still before 10:30am, so breakfast was being served. I know that they have the all day breakfast menu, but there was some stuff you can't get. I opted for the big breakfast with hot cakes, which was basically a sausage mcmuffin with egg torn apart with 2 small pancakes, all together in a simple platter for around $5. I also got a side sausage burrito and a large cup, which I filled up with sweet tea twice while dining in the restaurant and one final time to take with me on the road. The overall experience here at this particular McDonald's location in Cumberland, Md is located off the Maryland 51 state highway at 602 W Industrial Highway, Cumberland, Md. Like all McDonald's, they accept major credit cards, which is always a plus in my book. Cash is king here as well. Being that this here is McDonald's, they have a dedicated parking lot to all customers, so there is usually plenty of parking here for you to dine in. If you are on the go, they also have the drive through option, so you can get your food and be on your merry way wherever you need to go. Prices here at McDonald's are usually uniform, especially at breakfast, as most people know, they get a great value here at breakfast. My favorite go to item would be the breakfast burrito, you get 2 for $2, which is great for those of us who are on a budget. I do enjoy the fact that McDonald's offers ice tea, unsweetened and sweetened. I usually enjoy breakfast foods over lunch/dinner items here at McDonald's. Favorite lunch/dinner menu items include the chicken nuggets and French fries. The Oreo mcflurry is always a fan favorite of mine. Ice cream alone is great on any given day and it's usually cheap here. My time spent here at this particular McDonald's was short and sweet. There was a few people eating here at the time I was and it was nice and quiet in the dining area. They have a television in the dining area too, which was humming with news and information. It was set to CNN at the time. Two of the best things about McDonald's, if you already didn't know, is almost public restrooms and free wifi. It was nice to have that respite here to rest and relax here before getting back on the road again. I know now why there are designated rest stops along the interstates and signs on the interstate that tell you what restaurants, lodging, and gas stations are at any particular exit. McDonald's often comes up with the food sign though and happy to come here to get breakfast and unwind for a bit before heading back on the road back to Pittsburgh. The restaurant is clean and organized. Service here is as you would expect from McDonald's. Quick fast service for fast food. Doesn't get anything better than that. While the food is what you'd expect, it's cheap and satisfying - at least when you're trying to travel on a budget. For the many locals who use McDonald's daily, it helps with the budget too. 3.5 stars, since you've come to expect the same service at McDonald's time and time again. I'm thankful for McDonald's but it's the same ol song and dance. Get in and out with food. Support local! C+ read more

They never out sauce on the breakfast sandwiches. Laziest employees I've ever seen. I pay extra for sauce and they NEVER Put it. You can't pick which McDonald's door dash gives you I'm going to start refusing this location it's SH!T read more

If I could leave no stars I would. It is the worst McDonald's. The food is always messed up, old and cold, even the fries tasted rotten.

i opened a door for my friend and the person who owns the place or wtv got smart and stared at us and said stop dont make a mess or break anything when we were sitting down on our phone and that js pissed me off so if i were you i wouldnt come here at all they have a bad owner and terrible customer services and the manager was ignorant about the whole situation as well im so done with this shit mcdonalds read more

I have frequented this McDonalds a lot. It's on my way to work and back home. Being on the go a lot, fast food is a necessity at times. This place is rarely fast, and their food has a lot to be desired. In the drive thru typically you are met with a person who cuts you off, or repeats every single thing you order the second after you order it, or a person of middle eastern decent who is hard to understand. Most recently while going through the drive through I ordered two sweet teas, one with light ice. That means one with light ice and one without. But at first she tried to put me in for one with no ice. Who orders an iced tea with no ice? I ended up with three sweet teas, and got charged for all three. I only wanted two. The person who is the worst to deal with is the girl with the fake red hair and matching choker necklace. She has forgotten things I've paid for and is never very pleasant. All around this place needs a manager who teaches the staff the meaning of customer service. It's McDonalds, not the Cordon Bleu, that doesn't mean the service should be any different. read more

Was here at about 12:02 and ordered two mcchickens and a crispy buttermilk chicken. When we got to the window we wanted to change the crispy chicken to tenders and the girl who was at the window (she is their almost every night I come through and is really nice) asked her manager if it was ok to change it, her manager straight up told us "we don't sell tenders after midnight because we turn off the fryers" (so ig that means they can't serve any chicken after midnight due to the fryers being off?) and the girl looks at me and my girlfriend and tells us she had no clue they weren't aloud to sell tenders after midnight (again she is there almost every night) just kinda rises some eyebrows. read more

I'll add to the horrible reviews. We waited for a $6 order forever. So the food ended up not being fresh. Also it looked like they were prioritizing the drive through. PS they should drug test their employees, they look like they use meth. Just saying. read more

I find it annoying with the two order spots that are now at most McDonald's. There was no one in the drive thru yet they made pull forward to the next order screen. Service was fast, staff pleasant. Sausage McMuffin was not the greatest. read more

This is my personal preferable McDonald's in the Cumberland area. Food and service is good as you would expect. Staff is friendly.

I only use the drive through and honestly, that's the reason it got four stars instead of five. Any time a company has to have security to protect the customers from the local 'crowd', I'll stay in my vehicle. But the food in the drivethrough is tasty, made according to McDonald's standard recipes and generally hot. The ONLY issue I've had in the drive through is that they don't always know how to run a debit card as credit and more than once, they've asked for my PIN number. Um.....no. I actually prefer this McDonald's to the other local Mickey D's because the food is more consistent and they are usually pretty nice in the drive through windows. read more
