Having read the other review for this place, I can only assume it is under new management. The selection of food is impressive, and the cheeses look and smell wonderful, however the staff are so rude it was hilarious.
My friends and I stopped in on our way to a nearby cottage, and thought we should arrive with lots of delicious cheese for dinner. The woman who skulked out of the back room to serve us looked so supremely irritated that we had bothered her that we almost left again. Instead we asked her about a few of the cheeses available, and after some one word answers, we bought some gorgonzola and left. On arrival at our destination, I mentioned the 'friendly service' at the cheese shop and every one laughed - apparently they have a rather strong reputation for being being utterly rude and intolerant of customers, and we got off lightly! read more
