So we were road tripping. Got hangry. Decided to do a quick pit stop at this McDonald's. I'll just be honest. This place is dirty, poorly run and serves food that isn't right. Like literally just wrong. On January 2nd we ordered about $35 in food. Sandwiches, fries, drinks etc. The burgers were slopped together. In fact someone was so lazy that the double quarter pounder that should have a piece of cheese between the two burger patties and one in the top. Well they were so lazy they just hurled two cheese pieces onto the top burger, half on half off then wadded the whole thing in a scrunched up burger paper. So if it was to be eaten you literally had to eat a fist full of wadded meat, cheese, and bun oozing with ketchup but no mustard. Huh! I was driving or I would have taken a picture. Then there was my wife's chicken sandwich. Let's just say they did an extra "good" job on her's. They must have cooked that chicken breast twice because it was dark burned done and dry like hot greasy jerky. Definitely unedible. And because of that we did the only logical thing we could at 75 miles an hour. We hucked it out the window with the hopes of feeding a coyote a piece of burned petrified chicken. I have a confession to make... I shamefully eat McDonalds cheeseburgers, fries and a Coke when I'm in desperate need of comfort food. On the road, back to Indiana, after a rough few weeks called for my guilty pleasure. This location is really quick and easy access to the highway, coming and going. There are also 3 gas stations right there together, making this a perfect pit stop area for travelers. Service was prompt and the gals at both windows were extremely polite and friendly. Food was hot and fresh and the Coke was that perfect McDonald's Coke that everyone loves. Couldn't ask for a better experience! read more

Very Terrible place. Ngl, but this place seems straight out of Ohio. The legit asked if I wanted my buns greased, and not my burger's. The service is terrible, their waiters all only spoke in gurgles. The place it's self looks ugly and ambiance was bad. I had to drink my diet coca cola out of a urinal. I realize that Shakespeare had a lot to say on many of the topics but he never got around to writing about McDonald's drive-through windows and that is a damn shame. I have been to many, many McDonald's in my life all over the world. Ronald McDonald was my personal trainer back in the day (now I use Colonel Sanders and Jim Beam). This one stands out because I suffer from a rare, debilitating disease that most people aren't aware of that impacts how I eat a great deal. I suffer from the fact that I am basically six-years-old. For reasons that science cannot explain (because you only care about yourself and haven't informed yourself about my rare condition) I do not like fast food cheese, I only like my McDonald's burger plain or sometimes with ketchup and onions. That's it. Rarely in my adult life has this simple request been respected by the good people of McDonald's. This McDonald's were able to comply with my reasonable request on both occasions that I've visited. I don't know if I got lucky or if they're THAT ninja. Either way, I'll take it. They're friendly, quick, and accurate. They're pretty fly (for some white guys). read more

We stopped here for breakfast luckily it wasn't all that busy b/c there front counter was very small. Like all fast food restaurants these days they only seem to care about the drive-through​. I did try the Steak egg and cheese McMuffin for the first time and it was really good. If you need your McDonald's fix this is a nice location. read more

The stench of old garbage was overwhelming. Although the place appears to be clean, it's obvious it is in need of some serious cleaning. This visit while Micky D's management was evidently interfacing with local management. They should have called a halt to the meeting and instituted an immediate cleaning up of the site. read more

Terrible. We are traveling and get here at 8am. It says the inside opens at 8am and 3 groups of us are waiting outside. They are just looking at us through the windows and it had gotten to 8:05am. We could see someone playing with their hair, a manager behind the counter talking, and 3 people outside taking smoke breaks. The line was wrapped around the building. They even unlocked the side with no one waiting and then went and locked it back when we walked over to it. Lazy. read more

I stopped here on my way to Ohio. I was pleasantly surprised at how nice the staff was. The food was hot and fresh. The wait was relatively short. The McDonalds in Mississppi could learn a thing or two from this one. Keep up the good work y'all! read more

I gave it 2 stars because the food was good. It was the dirtiest McDonalds lobby that I have ever been in. There was food and trash on the floor the tables had old food on them. The drink station was very sticky and the bathroom was nasty as well. There were lots of trays stacked on the trash cans. We didn't realize the lobby until we sat down. There were enough people at work to clean. It wasn't busy and there were a few people just standing around. A cashier finally removed the trays, that's probably because they were running low. I wouldn't go there again. read more

I'm disappointed that the employees stand right outside the entrance smoking. There is parking out front of the building and the employees take the closest spot to the door. My dad wants to come for breakfast here with the locals. He has COPD and can't walk from the other side of the parking lot. Shame on them. read more

I live near this McDonald's and we often get a quick dinner there. They mess up take out orders more than any other fast food I know of. They used to be really bad about asking you to pull up on just about every order. They have gotten better on that but CHECK YOUR ORDER before you drive off. read more

I wouldn't even give this place 1 star. Stopped here while traveling and had the most awful eating out experience. Upon entering my husband went to use the restroom, and a guy in front of him told him to be careful "someone had just peed all over the wall and floor." Then 2 customers got into a fight in the dining area involving throwing chairs around and the staff didn't even acknowledge anything was happening. I literally had to leave out a different door with my kids to avoid the commotion, while my husband tried to grab what was left of our food. Stopped by yesterday after leaving Dinosaur Worlds. Needed coffee for drive back to Louisville. I asked if coffee was fresh. They volunteered -and I waited for- a fresh pot. It was really good. Stopped here at noon to get coffee and a Coke waited in line behind two other vehicles only to have the pubescent kid at the window tell us that their coffee machine was being cleaned because they failed to clean it in the morning. Apparently that was too much for him to tell us while we were sitting at the ordering box in the drive-thru lane. Make sure to ask that they have what you ordered. read more

We went to stop to eat and take a restroom break from going to a cave, sad to say it was very disgusting place every table was dirty the floor looked like pigs laid on it . This is the worst McDonald's I have ever been to. For starters, the service is terrible and the employees are rude and downright stupid! Yesterday they wouldn't take my $20 bill because they thought that since it was from 1998 it wouldn't have the security strip so it was a fake. After I showed them the strip they accepted the bill but were irritated about it, apparently they didn't like being schooled in front of customers. We sometimes collect the Happy Meal toys and if we call or go in to ask which toy they're selling this week they don't have a clue. They act like it's such a hassle to walk five feet over to the toy bin and look. When they get to the bin, they'll look at the toys and say something like: "Uh, we have Teen Titans Go." And then I have to ask: "Okay, but which one." Then I have to wait while they try and figure out how to read the packaging. If I'm actually in the store, they'll just bring it over, I guess because reading is SO hard. Every time I go here, there is always at least one employee standing outside smoking and yet the floors inside really need sweeping or mopping or both; and the bathrooms aren't much better than the average Walmart. The one in Glasgow, KY isn't much better, but yesterday was the last time I'm ever stopping at the one in Cave City. read more

Kids wanted to see the nearby dinosaur-park so we landed at this McD shortly thereafter. The floors were dirty/sticky with food/trash under tables, along the perimeter and around trash receptacles. Killed 2 gnats hovering over our food within minutes of sitting down and more flew around us during our meal. 2 of 8 drink dispensers were out of order and the water-only dispenser supplied coke instead of water. Napkin and straw dispensers were empty. Bathroom had flies, a broken cleanser dispenser and "curlies" on the sink countertop (not the french-fried variety). In retrospect, we should have left immediately but I recall the kids were famished. To say "we will not go here again" is the mildest way I can put it... read more

Didn't give us all the food that was ordered. We were back on highway when we realized it. So we called to get the charges reversed for food that was not delivered and they told us that we will have to come back for that. It was not that this place was packed or crowded. And it was pretty surprising that the manager (we were told we are talking to a manager) didn't apologize for this mix up once and she asked me what do I expect them to do in this case. I went there by drive-thru 3 times in a row between 7:30-8:00 AM and they always get my order wrong. I just don't have the time to go back because I'm in a hurry going to work. And this is what I typed: After a recent visit to the Cave City McDonald's, I am very disturbed at something I witnessed while waiting for my order. There was a male manager, he was quite overweight, saying inappropriate, well actually threatening, things towards a young female employee, about how much he hated her and how he could imagine himself stepping on her head. I am not typically one to voice my opinion, but since I believe the girl to be a high school student, I felt I must. As a parent of a 17 year old, if I found out a person in management was talking to my daughter like that, I would demand action! I believe if he is going to talk to the employees in that manner, he doesn't deserve his position as a manager, and really doesn't deserve to be an employee. This treatment is unacceptable on all levels, what kind of "manager" treats employees in such a way? I hope you take this as seriously as my spouse and I have. read more

There were a few issues during my visit today. First, the young man behind the counter, when asked for napkins, responded with "Man, I didn't think anyone used those." He took at least ten minutes to finally replace the napkins. All the while the entire drink area was in need of cleaning and restocking. The ice was completely out, along with the straws and lids. None of which were ever replaced during my visit. Second, I received an old/half full box of French fries. While eating, there was an interview taking place where a woman was actually hired on the spot. When she stood up, I observed she was wearing a very dirty and holey t-shirt. I am not one to judge, however my first thought was what if she was the one making my food. Last, all of the trash cans were overflowing and there were a large amount of trays stacked on each of them. Many dirty tables and floors. Several people, standing around doing nothing when they were not busy. I love McDonalds but this is not a place I will be visiting again anytime soon. read more
