Cute little hole in the wall. I was afraid it only had outside seating but they had some small little tables. The woman who took our order was super sweet and efficient. The pork tenderloin looked strange when it came out and then I realized it had folded over on itself. It was perfectly crispy and seasoned well. I loved that I got to simply choose how I wanted it dressed so it came just the way I liked it. Will definitely make a return trip if I find myself out this way. read more

This place doesn't have much indoor seating but quite a few tables outside to sit and eat it. The service was quick and kind. I just walked up to the window although you can order online as well. I hardly ever see chuck wagon sandwiches on menus any more, so I had to try theirs. It was incredible, one of the best I've had. The burger was solid as were the curly fries and onion rings. We also got a peanut butter milkshake to share. It was so delicious that we contemplated getting another for the road. This place was super easy to get to from the interstate and way better tasting and maybe even more affordable than stopping at a fast food chain. read more

When you drive up you might be concerned because it really is a hole in the wall. But, don't let the looks fool ya. There are a few seats inside but a day like today was perfect for the outside seating. Don't get in a hurry because everything is made fresh as you order and it's well worth the wait. I had the bacon double cheeseburger, Cajun fries and a peanut butter milkshake. Everything was delicious. The staff were as friendly as you could ask for. Next time we make a day trip to Buccees we will be stopping in again. read more

What a great find! Get off the hwy, drive past the chains and you will find this gem. And great way to support local businesses. Had the cheese burger and curly fries. Fresh not frozen burger. And fresh not frozen fries. And you can taste the difference! To say I'm excited about finding this place is an understatement!! They also have ice cream which is supposed to be great as well. We stayed nearby and liked the burgers so much we went back again the next night! Just a little area inside, but a couple of outside tables are the best seating. Great little family place when the weather is good. And the local folks are friendly and welcoming to tourists. read more

This small business lives up to every positive review written about them. We were searching for a restaurant and looked here on Yelp. The good reviews were the reason we went d'or a late lunch. At first glance it looks like an old fashioned ice cream shop on Main Street. We ordered their burger and a tenderloin sandwich! Wow! They make curled potatoes that you just have to try. When I moved to Smiths Grove, it reminded me so much of the town where I grew up. My first visit to Flavor Isle was definitely not my last and now my two year old granddaughter loves going there. The mini burgers, tater tots and the double chocolate milkshake is my go to. Come to Smiths Grove, shop a little and then go to Flavor Isle. Sit at the tables in front and enjoy your meal. From the outside, the muted pastels of this quaint ice cream parlor caught our attention. This small batch ice cream maker had 7-8 flavors on the day we went. I went with Cookies and Cream and enjoyed every bite. The single scoop was large enough to satisfy my sweet tooth. The old timey interior transported me to a parlor from the 1950's and I loved all of it. Well positioned across from a park, my recommendation would be to grab a scoop, walk to the park and enjoy being outside in summer. I will most definitely be back.
