A very family friendly stop-over! We spent the night in Elizabethtown on our way to Mammoth Cave National Park. We had originally planned to go to a burger joint around the corner, but they had a 40 minute wait, and we passed HubHaus along the way. We truly enjoyed this spot. The kids LOVED playing pinball and Ms PacMan. Mom might have enjoyed that pinball too. Pinball was $1 a round. Bring cash for the quarter machine. The food was decent enough, and they do no contact ordering for the food, so there was no awkward interactions for our awkward teen. I had the Old Fashioned to drink, and it was good. Perfectly crafted. The beer was decent, and the cow motif was fun. We received our food promptly and there were plenty of spots for seating and watching sports. The outdoor area was hopping with small children. Loved the turf grass outside. The pretzel was different; I thought it was delicious but Picky 10 couldn't decide if it was weird or not. Mr. 14 got the brisket burger. The fries are true potato fries. I had the Reuben. It was fine. I enjoyed it, but it was heavy--when is a Reuben not heavy?! Hubs had a regular burger and enjoyed it. This is the newest brewery to open up in Etown. Getting here was kind of a pain becau you go the roundabout and turn on a one way street that leads you to a parking lot behind the courthouse that is close by. There is an abundance of parking just be careful where or you may get towed. They have a back entrance and a street entrance. I go in and it's very spacious. I notice there is a kiosk to order food, so no table service. I sit at the bar and order a flight of 4, I always do this when visiting a new brewery. My favorite is the Haus Light is my favorite by far. What really made me give this place 3 stars was the fruit flies flying behind the bar, I had to swat a few of them away but, there was a bunch behind the bar. I didn't really see them until after I got the full pour of the Haus Light. I am glad I didn't eat any food here because I ate before coming here. While sitting at the bar, I noticed people going to the kiosk to order their food, they also had to go pick up their own food. Bartender wasn't behind the bar very much however, she was kind and helpful. I'd like to come back and try the food but, hopefully they fix the fruit fly problem behind the bar. read more

Came back today in the mood for a Reuben. I had seen a previous review that said they were a little skimpy with the meat, and this is unfortunately true. It was super tasty though and it hit the spot! Next time if I'm trying to not leave hungry I will definitely opt for a burger! The sweet potato fries were as good as I remember, and I love that cinnamon marshmallow dip. The staff was friendly and helpful as usual. Wife had an event in Elizabethtown this past weekend and when we arrived late Friday afternoon we were looking for a place to eat. I saw this restaurant on Yelp and it was rated quite well IMO. They were doing roadwork downtown so we just decided to park and walk to Hubhaus. I was a little thrown by the ordering process but it's a lot like many fast food restaurants these days to where you order at a kiosk and in their case text you when your order is ready. I ordered the pork schnitzel sandwich with onion rings and a root beer which is made in house. Y wife ordered a bacon cheeseburger with fries. After ordering and paying, we decided to order a beer from the bar. I ordered their house beer, Haus Lager and Janet ordered the Farm Wedding which is a cream ale . They were both fantastic. The house root beer was about the best root beer I've ever had. They texted us about 10-15 minutes after we placed our order. You go and pick up your food and any other drinks you ordered such as a coke. The lady placing the orders up at the window for pick up was fantastic and filled my request for mayonnaise and onion, which I forgot to order originally, with a smile and very quickly. Janet loved the burger and thought it was one of the best she's ever had.. fries were really delicious too. I love a pork tenderloin sandwich and this was pretty close. Crispy and delicious. Onion rings were amazing and some of the best we've ever had. A great place to eat. Great selection of food, beers crafted on site, and great service at the bar and food window. Overall, I gave Hubhaus 5 stars because it is a great addition to the downtown scene. The atmosphere and the prices of food were great. We had the following to eat: 1. Pulled pork sandwich- a must try. A great smoky flavor. 2. Reuben- Not bad. A little light on the meat. 3. Wings- We had BBQ wings. They were just ok. Nothing to write home about. We're going to try the zesty buffalo next time. 4. Onion rings- Very good and thick. We took some home to put on our burgers that we are making for dinner tonight. Beer: Good tasting beer, but a little pricey at $7 for 16 ounces. However, the food was priced right, so maybe this is where they are going to make their $$. The bar staff could be a little more attentive, like clean dirty tables instead of playing on the phones and chatting to each other. Overall, this is a new restaurant and they will learn and grow. There are games indoors and outdoors. They have the cutest photo booth! The food was SO good. My kids are picky eaters and when they saw the peanut butter and jelly on the kids menu, they were SUPER excited. The service staff is so friendly and top notch. I cannot express emphatically enough how much you are missing out if you do not go to Hub Haus.
