    Supposedly oatmeal
    Carey P.

I get it that weekend mornings are likely hectic at a right off the interstate McD's. There is always going to be some amount of error and chaos. 9:30 isn't that crazy of a time though. The drive through line was wrapped around the building. We went in and people were waiting in line to order from the kiosks while the line cashier stood still. I spoke my order to her and in the grand scheme of things I suppose with the sheer volume of folks eating breakfast at this time, the 5-10 min we waited for our food wasn't unreasonable. I did witness several folks come back in to get their orders corrected- not a good sign. My food order finally came up and the attendant asked if I'd already got my coffees - nope. So the other attendant who said she'd already made the now missing drinks had to make them again. Fine I get it. It's chaos in there and the order pickup system is rife with opportunities for folks to grab the wrong drink unknowingly. But this is an interstate McDonalds. Most folks grab their food bag and go. Only to discover one mile down I-81 there were errors. Again, the world isn't gonna explode if, in our case, one of the 3 sausage egg and cheese McGriddles is missing the sausage. Pick up and move on. I have a swallowing disorder but the severing of four cranial nerves on one side so I have to be careful about what I eat. Traveling makes this challenging and I'm thankful that McDs offers oatmeal. It's something I am able to eat and eat around the same amount of time as my family. Occasionally a McDs will be out of it but most of the time it's been a safe order. Comes with some sugar and fruit to stir in. (I wish they'd automatically add butter too) But today this oatmeal was a first for me. After getting my family all settled up with their breakfast sandwiches and dessert drinks [read: coffee], I opened my oatmeal cup, which was pleasantly warm like a cup of hot coffee, and my first thought was Omg - here is my missing coffee. It honestly looked like someone poured a latte in the oatmeal cup. I managed to get the spoon package open and stirred - not sure what I would find. But folks, I was wrong. It was not misplaced coffee. It was in fact oatmeal. Well at least grains/flakes/flecks of whatever instant oatmeal is were present in the cup. If I had to guess, after eating the concoction bc guys, this was my breakfast meal to last me 4-6 hours of driving more, was probably 2 tbsp of instant oatmeal flakes. I tasted no flavoring. No sweetness. Just oatmeal and I'm guessing warm milk. And the little bag of dried fruit. No sugar. Or butter. I think they forgot to cook it ? As we were leaving with our bag of food, a bus with an army of purple shifted cross country runners descended upon the place. I can't help but wonder what surprises were beheld by that large crew at this already stressed and maxed out McDonalds. So while the bathrooms were pristine and a pleasant stop on our 17 hour journey for the thanksgiving holiday, I think we will pass on stoping at the McDonalds at exit 45 in Pennsylvania on the way back home.

This place is great . The whole place has been redone and updated. The play place is awesome and we love the underwater theme. So many cool gadgets, like the touch screens and interactive tables, for the kids to play with. The ordering screens are easy to order from and the staff is so helpful for the ppl who don't know how to do it. The bathrooms are clean and maintained well. I will definitely come back! P.S. the food was great. Our food was cooked just right.

I liked the new setup, its neat. They recently renovated this location and updated many features. My wife and I don't care for fast food but our daughter heard About the new playroom, and chicken nuggets. She urged is to check it out. My wife and I are always adventurous and we enjoy trying new things. So we agreed to give it a shot. I ordered chicken strips and fries, wife ordered a parfait, and of course or daughter ordered the chicken nuggets kids meal. The food came, I started on the chicken strips, not that great. I reached for a fry, and discovered they forgot it. I mentioned it to the server, who was more then willing to go bring it right out. He must have been distracted, five minutes later I went in and three manager got the fry for me. I got back to my seat and my daughter asked where her chocolate milk was. I get that its newly renovated, and everything is a learning process but... this is part of why we are not fans of fast food, and one reason we normally never venture to McDonald's. 3 out of 5 stars is not a completely horrible review, but our daughter says she is fine with not coming back.

Here's the McDonalds off of exit 45 of I-81!

Total came out to approximately $99 (not including tip). What's hot - Quality. Fairly good. My hummus wrap was yummy and had a good amount of veggies wrapped with the hummus. Their fries are the best part and well-seasoned. Depending on the person, it could be considered overly-salty. Their beer cheese is pretty flavorful, as well. Their burgers are tender, juicy, and a good flavor. - Menu. Decent and short. - Location. Fairly easy to find downtown and there are other businesses and restaurants close by. Street parking is available, which is metered during the weekdays. - Price. With the exception of the sides, which I explain below, it's fairly good value for money, given the quality and decent size portions. What's not - Quality. Their soft pretzel sticks were not as soft as I expected. They were actually harder than I hoped. - Dishes come with potato chips. Their sandwiches come with potato chips. Fries, coleslaw, or salad cost extra. My hummus pita wrap and my friend's fish sandwich automatically come with potato chips, so ordering the fries cost extra. Not cool. This is a matter of personal preference. This is a pub, not a deli, so potato chips should not be an automatic side. - Not many vegetarian or vegan options. There is hummus, a salad option, and a fish option. Very limited, which is a detractor. - Service. One of our family members ordered their burger with no pickles and no mustard, but the wait staff made an error when they entered our order. I understand mistakes happen, but simple things like this take additional time to fix. The wait staff had to put in the correct order and we had to wait longer. Additionally, we had difficulty flagging down staff when we needed things. Their staff are nice, but they don't appear well-staffed. It was not full the Sunday afternoon we were there, so I'm uncertain what a busy time actually looks like. - Layout. For parties larger than 4, it appears they need to put tables together, so be prepared. Final answer Would be willing to return, but not a first choice.

This was, without question, one of the worst customer service experiences I've ever had…read more Our group simply asked if a few additional people could join us. Instead of even attempting to accommodate us, we were met with eye rolls and obvious annoyance at the mere suggestion of moving a couple of tables. We then asked if we could just pull over a few empty chairs on the patio ourselves, and were flatly told no. The lack of flexibility was disappointing, but the attitude was what made this experience truly awful. When we decided to leave, we politely tried to provide feedback about our experience. Rather than listening or showing even the slightest concern, the employee laughed at us, dismissed everything we were saying, and made disparaging comments about service members. That crossed a line from poor customer service into outright disrespect. Hospitality is about making guests feel welcome. Instead, we were treated like an inconvenience from the moment we asked a simple question. There was no professionalism, no accountability, and certainly no appreciation for customers. We took our business elsewhere, where we were welcomed without hesitation. I cannot recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for a place that values its customers. There are plenty of restaurants that understand what hospitality means--this isn't one of them.

We ordered pick up through Grub Hub, so the total came out to approximately $43. What's hot - Menu. Pretty standard options of burgers and sandwiches. They have a few veggie options, as well, but no vegan options. - Quality. Pretty delicious. My regular bacon cheeseburger was a very good portion- juicy, tender, and flavorful. Their fries are nicely seasoned and substantial. - Portions. Each of our burgers was a good size. Their large fries are a good size, as well, with the exception of what I explain below. There are a fair amount of boxes of peanuts for customers to take some for free. - Cost. For the portions and quality, good value for money. - Location. It's at the end of a plaza. There are a decent number of tables and chairs, as well. Doesn't appear to be able to accommodate any groups larger than 6. What's not - Fries. The quality of their fries is delicious. However, we noticed their fries are no longer served in large cups with extra scoops in your bag. Five Guys' generous portions of fries has always been a major selling point for myself and my husband. That this location is limiting their portions is a detractor. Final answer Would be willing to return to this location.

We ordered burgers, salads, and kids' meals. What's Hot - Menu. Good variety and something for everyone, even possibly vegans. I know they have a veggie burger on the menu, but am uncertain whether they have vegan cheese or condiments. - Quality. Delicious. My avo-cobb salad was delicious. It came with grilled chicken, eggs, Bleu cheese, bacon, avocado, and tomato. All our fries were warm upon arrival. Freshly steamed broccoli and not canned or pre-frozen. The clementines are canned, though. - Service. For the most part, pretty reliable. The staffer for our table was good about tracking our orders and refills. Once other staffers got involved, things got a little messed up. - Price. My Avo-Cobb salad was approximately $17 and the side of fries, including bottomless refills coated approximately $1. For my nieces and nephews, they got several refills of their kids meals of broccoli, mac n cheese, tangerine slices, and corn dogs. For the quality and portions of refills, definitely good value for money. - Layout. Pretty accommodating. We were able to get a booster seat for the baby and they pushed a couple tables together to accommodate our party of 8. They appear to be able to accommodate larger parties, as well. - Location. Conveniently located in a plaza with several other businesses, including Target, Aldi, Sephora, and an ice cream joint. As such, plenty of parking. What's Not - Service. To be fair, this is going to be dependent on the day and time you're there, due to staffing. There were times we had to wait longer for refills for simple things, like the fries, which their staff should expect to continuously refill. There were also times when staff forgot certain refills. - Portions. My husband and I ordered several refills of our fries. My issue, which is personal to me, is that I didn't think the portions of the refills were as good as they should've been. To be fair, my guess is their kitchen staff avoid making the portions too big to avoid waste. I was simply annoyed in requesting as many refills as I did. Final answer Would be willing to return to this location again.
