Hard candies from rock candy to candy necklaces and every brightly packaged, florescent 80's sweet treats I loved as a young boy. A large counter of homemade fudges, brittle's, jellied fruit slices, cookies and chocolates just by sight alone, gets the water works flowing in your mouth. Jelly Beans of every conceivable color and flavor, lollypop's the size of my head. No matter your age, the time warp that hits you, sending you back into your distant memory (depending on your age) to a time and place we all remembered where these treats were enjoyed in our youth. Another wonderful business in town that gives Muskegon many layers of charm.

He was so friendly and helpful. This store is in a convenient location in North Muskegon. And their hours are WAY better than other candy stores in Muskegon. So many nostalgic candy options are here. Also, lots of different gummy candies and freeze dried candy. The inside of this store is so cute! There's games and whatnot for the kids to play with. The owner was really friendly and welcoming. I'd never been but my Mr has brought cheese home (he knows the way to my heart). Today we sampled some infused balsamic vinegars and olive oils. They were having a sale on their bottles, buy 1 get 1 1/2 off. We bought Honey Ginger vinegar and Herbs de Provence olive oil. Then we moved on to the cheese side... there was so much to choose from! The woman who helped us was so friendly and helpful. We were able to sample several different cheeses and ended up with 3 to take home. With the oil, vinegar, cheese and a rustic loaf of sourdough, I MIGHT be able to talk my Mr into staying in tonight!

Took a 75 minute Sunday morning class here called Root Aroma Vin/Yin Yoga. According to the…read morewebsite: "Enjoy the best of both worlds! A balanced practice - half vinyasa and half yin yoga. The check-in process was easy, they had us do it ourselves on their mini screen. The instructor noted that I was new to their space and went out of her way to welcome me, ask if I had ever practiced yoga before, give me a consent card for yes/no regarding hands-on assists during class, explain that the oils are self applied beforehand. The class itself was a pleasant way to spend a rainy Sunday morning. Big windows let a lot of light into the space even on gray days. This class in particular to me felt both a) more like just a normal vinyasa class with some cool down poses, and b) also like a mini workshop what with the oracle cards and assists and perfectly paced music. For just $18! Don't miss out local, friends. The instructor was okay; admittedly she missed a few poses in her sequences from side to side and she seemed to linger around me specifically when emphasizing particular cues (maybe she didn't trust that this wasn't my first class?). Her assists were lovely reiki like touches, but also maybe a little too overcorrective in spots. Bummer that their cafe wasn't open when I visited. It seems like one of the few options in Muskegon for vegan eats. I was hoping to load up on immunity shots, smoothies, avocado toast, and tempeh/chickpea wraps for my hotel room. Maybe next time.
