There are 5 McDonald's in Wayne County, IN, which is where Richmond, where I am from, is located. I have eaten at all of them, except for the Cambridge City one. One day, on the way back from an errand, I did stop at this location and ate there for the first time. The employees were nice, the food was hot, fast, and delicious. I ordered the Big Mac, medium French Fries, and Coke Zero, and it was delicious, like always. They do accept mobile orders and rewards, in case anyone is wondering. If I am ever in the area again, I will stop here again. I can now say I have eaten at all the McDonald's in Wayne County, IN. Ordered on the mobile app and needed an ice water. There is no option for a simple ice water on the app- only the bottled which I did not want. When you order on the mobile app- the staff use that as an excuse to talk to you as little as possible. I give my code at the speaker and before I can say anything, they immediately tell me to pull around. When I got to the first window, I was going to ask, but the lady was talking to another customer on the speaker and handed my receipt out the window, I pulled to the second window and usually they just stick my food out the window and don't say anything so I had to almost interject the mono-tone "have a good day" to ask for the water. The lady at the window visibly rolled her eyes. When she handed it out, she said "just so you know, if you want an ice water you have to let them know because it costs." I responded back with "well it wasn't an option on the mobile app and I didn't get a chance" and all she had to say was "well it costs." I offered to pay, and she was like *sigh* "no it's fine" and just shut the window. She acted like she was the one missing out on the 50 cents for the water- and made us feel like she thought we were cheating the system or something. It is really annoying to be treated like you're inconveniencing the workers to literally do their job. All she had to do was accept our payment and walk the 10 steps to ring it up if it was that big of a deal. Or she could have said "could you please come in or pull back around?" This location is always rude other than the nice lady that takes orders at the first window in the mornings. read more

This lady with purple hair in the drive thru gave us the worst attitude over a ranch sauce. We asked for ranch in the drive thru after placing a mobile order and she told us it was 21¢. We got out a 5 dollar bill to pay her because we didn't have change or anything less than a $5 and she rolled her eyes at us a scoffed in our faces just because we wanted a ranch sauce. I think this is extremely unprofessional considering we had no issue with paying for the ranch that you used to be able to get for free. read more

This McDonalds has the worse customer service. It seems like the employees were late for work this morning and the manager was having a bad or maybe she has a bad day every day. Plenty of people waiting inside over 20-30 minutes for their order. When my order finally was completed, I had to remind the manager about my coffee. It seemed that a half-cup was left in the pot and she did not have any to-go cream for the coffee so I left the store without the coffee (I did not say anything) and the manager shouted out, "...have a awesome day" in a sarcastic manner. It was sufficient and what I would expect from McDonald's. This is close enough to be the McDonald's for two towns: Hagerstown and Cambridge City. It's also just off I-70, so that's convenient as well. I was photographing track and field today, so I stopped to get a sandwich. I don't usually eat at McDonald's these days because there are better options. I was surprised to see the Double Quarter Pounder meal. Of course, at Hardee's with their 1/3 pound patties, a half pound wouldn't be that surprising, but it reminded me that a lot of people like a lot of food. I ordered the single Quarter Pounder with Cheese, not so I could feel thin, but so I wouldn't overeat. They were working on Happy Meal boxes so the front counter was full. They couldn't put a tray anywhere. When my combo meal was ready, they put it in a bag because they didn't see a tray. They could have asked me since I was standing there, but, wait, this was McDonald's. The sweet tea was luke warm, as were the old, old fries. The sandwich was a bit warmer, since it had just been finished. I'm just glad that the "iced" tea wasn't the warmest part of the meal. The Quarter Pounder with Cheese had a good flavour but it wouldn't draw me away from Hardees/Carl's Jr. or Rally's/Checkers, but the fries were really bad and after taking about 10 or 12, I stopped. It wasn't worth a complaint, as this would have delayed things further. Had the sandwich also been less than okay, I would have been at the counter. Oh well, now, I know to drive further. read more

I am driving around 1200 miles today, halfway across the country, and all day I've been thinking "I hope the McDonald's where I stop for dinner has McRibs and is decorated for Christmas." This location checked all my boxes! The interior is an assault of maroon and fir plaid -- like it's everywhere from the seat cushions to the wallpaper -- and it gives this McDonald's a very cozy feel. It's a perfect match for their Christmas decorations, which include an actual Christmas tree and a fake fireplace. For some reason, they had just announced that they had shut down the fryer (there's a football team that just phoned in an order of 56 sandwiches and fries and drinks and the staff said "Well they're going to have to wait!") so I most definitely got the last fries they could scrape together to fill a large container. But overall, a pleasant visit. Thanks for fulfilling my road trip wishes! UPDATE: They do not keep the men's room stocked with toilet paper. Be warned! I knew there was a third road trip wish I was forgetting to make. read more

Disorganized is the best way to describe this location today. Waited 30 minutes after ordering with no indication of it being made. Others who ordered after received first. It was a basic order. Response when asked if it was going to be much longer "we are really busy." After waiting longer, we finally decide to again. The food had been sitting for over 30 minutes because they had "called our number". They had gave us a table number to be delivered to the table. We had also listened for our number "just in case". There were at least a dozen people waiting to order and no one seemed to care. We finally left without ordering. The restroom was also dirty and had clearly not been serviced in a long time. Whomever owns this franchise had better get a handle on what's going on as they are clearly losing money paying a lot of people to stand around doing absolutely nothing. As McDonald's go it exceeds many in decor, food, and staff friendliness. It is freeway close if you are on I-70. The only failing is its internet access. It falls way below other McDonald's - no faster than dial-up. McStinks. I stop there on my way to work for the convenience of fast food that I drive right by, and sometimes it works in my favor. But literally the worst McDonald's ever as far as organization goes and doing shit the right way. In the recent few weeks that I've started attempting to go to this McDonald's, I have now for the third time waiting on my food for so long in the morning that I am now late for work because I am waiting more than 15 minutes for my food and the second of the three times I've waited for the entirely wrong order. I just waited 20 minutes this morning for a large sweet tea and an order of donut sticks with chocolate sauce, and got a bag with four donut sticks and no chocolate sauce. From getting drinks without straws, to getting a big Mac when you order a fillet of fish, This McDonald's need some help.
