Surprised at the low stars. Whatever. I dropped in for a shake - I'd just completed a hard run, and wanted to get some glucose. I had to add fries - I was a little peckish. The Kiosk ordering worked, except there was no paper in the kiosk to print a receipt. Oops. I originally was going to hit the drive up, but that was backed up so I walked in. The restaurant was clean, I made my order, the staff brought it out to me and handed it to me. The fries were salted just right, and the strawberry shake tasted like a strawberry shake. read more

The food here fucking sucks 0/10. Service was slow and the ambiance absolutely sucked.

I downloaded Yelp just to complain about this place, since when you have managers saying it's whatever, they will deal with it--referring to the customers--and causing said customers to wait 45+ minutes, and then constantly ignoring people at the register, it's ridiculous. Moreover, once we got our food, they then forgot our drinks, so we had to wait even longer just for drinks. Just unbelievable. And yet, this isn't just a one-time thing--it's almost every time. read more

This location is notorious for poor service, SLOW service, orders are always wrong. we had a mobile order, sat in drive thru for over 15 minutes while the outside lane was the only one taking orders. i finally went inside and while ignored amongst the sea of others angry for the delay, I finally had to raise my voice to get attention. then we got the wrong food! corporate needs to step in asap! read more

Another very disappointing interaction with manager at this location...ordered mobile for dine in table service....my order sat on counter until it was cold...manager told me that 111 was not at table number and my order was not for table service....I pointed out that was incorrect, showed the tag and table number attached to the bag....resulted in turning their back on me, and stating hey you got your burrito...have a nice day....condescending and rude behavior scores zero stars in my book....how far this business has declined... read more

McDonald's - Burgers Near Me - Byron, Illinois

The owners can not keep up with customer demand. I mis takingly thought I would get out of my car and actually walk into this restaurant to order. They are obviously concerned most with all the lazy folks who want to sit in their vehicles and order. I stood in an almost empty area for 20 minutes watching what looked like 3 maybe 4 workers were struggling to keep up. The line outside was even larger by now. After paying over $15 for a cold and tasteless Big Mac, Fish filet and a medium soggy fries, I decided I will never patronized another McDonalds. read more

They were out of Large size cups, and the milkshake machine was broken. Kinda slow too.

your order will most likely never be right unless it's simple one time i went in and got a bagel and asked for no cheese and they gave me cheese and i realized when i was half way home. i went back and they said they couldn't remake it because it was after breakfast hours even tho it just turned to 11 . they can be very rude here, i only like the manager he's the only nice one everyone else is pretty rude and very gross food read more

Apparently none of the employees can 't tell time and close whenever they want to & then blatantly ignore you several times after you pay for a mobile order worth $30. Never got my food. Never got a refund. Y'all are boooty as hell. I'll be back for a refund in the morning I can also help ya out & print the hours out for the manager to hang up in the break room cause clearly the employees don't know :) This is the most Karen shit I've ever done and hope to do But i literally don't give a shit right now DO BETTER CAN WE PLEASE PETITION FOR ANOTHER RESTAURANT????????? Terrible customer service, this McDonalds has 2 drive thru's, I sat in the inner drive thru as 2 cars on the outer drive thru was being helped. When I stated "I would like to place my order" the attendant stated I will be with you in a moment, another car pulled up on the outer drive thru and that same person that told me a moment, took their order. They never came back to take my order. Who is managing this location. read more

This has to be one of the worst McDonalds that I've visited. I pre-ordered my food using the new McDonald's app. It was easy to use and convenient, or so I thought. Once I arrived at the location, the app popped up I entered my parking spot. Shortly after I parked, a employee came out to let me know an item that I had ordered was no longer available. After waiting about 10 minutes, my food was brought out to my car. Once I arrived at home, we noticed that the three large fry boxes were only about a third full. When I contacted the store, the manager assured me that the employees had been properly trained on filling fry boxes and that they must have settled during transit. I definitely recommend the app. I highly recommend staying away from the Byron McDonald's. read more

I haven't had an issue with this location until now. I'm writing this as I wait for my 20 piece chicken mcnugget and fries. Been here for 20 mins watching cars come and go. And employee actually just came up to me and said "I noticed you've been waiting forever and I think someone handed your order off to someone else." COME ON PEOPLE. read more

This has got to be the worst McDonalds I have ever been to. For some reason no one can ever seem to get the orders right. Nor can they ever give you the sauce you ask for, even when they are the ones to ask you what sauce you want in the drive through. read more

I'm in my 40s and been to numerous McDonalds. This is consistently the slowest drive thru ever. Friends, family, and I rate this as slowest and most orders wrong of any place ever. They are lucky it is a small town with limited options or they would not survive. I have went on the McDvoice survey numerous times to explain probs because I want it to succeed but never changes. Appears to be understaffed majority of time. Quite a few workers with dental issues. read more

Hopefully this is a review for the McDonald's in Byron Illinois which is the worst place on the entire planet super disrespectful and just mean to me over my disability bad staff hear them complain and not wash their hands food is always cold and you wait forever to get it read more

I got a large French fry. Simple, right? Well apparently it was too hard for these guys to figure out. The fries were not cooked at all. Like, they were lukewarm and white and nasty. They were also kinda wet, so didn't want to touch them to take this picture. (Also, I did not eat any, it was barley half full to begin with) read more

This was the absolute worst McDonald's I have ever been to!! The floor was filthy! The tables were filthy! The counters were filthy (both the counter where customers order AND behind the counter where the food is made and prepared! There were live and dead flies throughout the restaurant. The restrooms were disgusting! All of the garbages both inside and outside were overflowing. The employees (including the manager behind the counter) had a no-care attitude and extremely poor service. I would be doing a disservice to future customers if I didn't contact headquarters. Giving one star, because I cannot make a post with no stars. read more

This is the worst McDonald's we ever have been to. The service is horrible and the food is never hot. We waited ten minutes at the speaker to order our food and then when someone pulls up to the next speaker they waited on them. I cannot get good service from this McDonald's since they have opened. I have waited for my food for over twenty minutes and the only answer I get is that not enough people are on staff and no apology. How do you make me wait that long and hand me barely warm food and a wrong order? Over and over my order is always cold, wrong and they all seems to care less about the customer. I have given them one too many chances to get it right. Therefore, I will no longer be giving them any more of my business and spend my money at another establishment that cares about their customers. read more

The food is horrible and the drive thru is slow. Ordered a cheeseburger value meal that ended up in the trash because it was cold.

I've been to this location 3 times in 3 years. Everytime the service has been so ridiculously slow. Today I went in and waited over 25 minutes for 2 tiny breakfast burritos, a hash brown, and coffee. They seem to only focus on the drivethrough customers. I will never waste my time there again. read more

Sketchy service. I do not usually go to McDonald's but when I do in Byron I often regret the experience. More often than not I have had to go into the restaurant because they have messed up my drive thru order. If it's not made incorrectly there are usually items missing. I try my best to avoid or only go here for coffee. read more

I've given this place more second chances than I care to admit and it's always slow, always terrible!!! This place!!! They are OUT OF MAC SAUCE! What mc donalds runs out of mac sauce??? Rude help, didnt care.

25 minutes waiting in drive thru for 2 shakes. 2 customers inside, looked like 2 people working in the whole place. Cashier seemed like it was her first time ever doing that job, on a Saturday evening to boot. I've heard a lot of stories and service has been slow but last night took the cake. Somebody better start taking charge soon or this McDonald's will end up like the Burger King. read more

Horrendous service! Just spent 24 minutes going through the drive thru waiting on one of their standard meals. And its that way every time I've been there. While the food is tasty, the place must be horribly managed. I may never go there again, I'm just fed up with it. Whoever runs the joint should spend a week at some other McDonalds location to see how to run it correctly. The Byron McDonalds is awful! read more
