Hometown McDonald's visit September 24 , 2019 I grew up in Bennettsville during the 70's and 80's . I even worked here in high school 1984 - 85 then went into the Army . We ran this place efficiently and clean , constantly cleaning which you don't see unfortunately in fast food places anymore . We did see a nice lady cleaning the lobby while we were there and talked with her about when we worked there . The bathroom was also clean . We ordered our food and it was hot and correct . The cashier wasn't rude , but not very friendly . I remember how busy we were during the Myrtle Beach traffic in the summer time during the 80's . It was crazy , but we did a great job . So many memories even though the place has been renovated over the years and the lady in the lobby said they will be renovating again . It is what it is , McDonald's . read more

Corporate should either overhaul the entire staff or just close this store down altogether. Since it's strategically located to bring in beach traffic from spring through fall, shutting it down is not a real option. But something has to change. This particular McDonald's has -- without hyperbole -- the worst staff of any fast food restaurant I've ever patronized. Within the last month alone, I've attempted to pick up five app orders via the drive thru between 10pm and 1am. Only one order was completed, and I sat at the drive thru speaker for 15 minutes waiting for an employee. The other four attempts ended in me being lied to about a "10 minute wait" or simply being ignored completely. I've now finally decided to give up on the McDonald's franchise for good. Clearly, I've been patient. I understand that occasionally restaurants are understaffed and I'm willing to allow for that more often than the average person. However, this has become the standard, rather than an exception. read more

If I could give the zero stars, I would these people are absolutely incompetent and rude as heck! We ordered an order they got it wrong. We waited 20 minutes for them to bring it out. They never brought it out to our car so we went back in the drive-through for a refund and now they won't refund it to us saying that we have to use the app because no one knows how to do a refund? McDonald's has fallen so far over the decades. The one shining star remaining is the french fries, when they are fresh. The first thing I noticed when i approached the counter was about a dozen large and medium orders of fries resting under the lamps. As you might expect, the fries were cold and limp by the time they got to the table. This restaurant is basically a bathroom stop with mediocre food as I was passing through town. read more

Placed a order through the app when I got to the pick up window had to show my receipt I ordered two happy meals with extra fries but got the apple slices instead of the extra fries in both happy meals when I placed my order in the app I placed a order my condiments but had to ask for them at the pick up window my two previous orders that I had placed in the app was also wrong the employees must be uneducated because they look at your receipt but can't fullfill it correctly after eating food in the parking lot I decided to place another order through the app so look for another review for that order read more

The ordering kiosks are terrible. We're typing and swiping while the person at the counter is drumming her fingers. How stupid is that? Then, we have to select a numbered table for our order to be "delivered". We couldn't sit at the wide-open table that we wanted. And it wasn't due to social distancing; the table we were forced to "choose" at the kiosk was right next to a family with a baby. The order was incomplete; we had to go back up. They were out of tea, both sweet and unsweetened. They had no ketchup. Literally none in the entire restaurant. They said a shipment of ketchup might arrive today. WHAT??!! The bathroom was dirty. The folks behind the counter were all moving around but nothing was happening; baffling. And shortstaffing isn't an excuse. I counted 9 people in the food prep area, 3 at the (one!) register, and 4 more out in the seating area. True!! They couldn't figure out the technology at the cash register; they looked dumbfounded. Yesterday I order curbside pick for me an my daughter an I never got it after sitting in my car for 40 minutes waiting on our order I went inside after standing inline for another 15 minutes the Manager tried to give me the order I told her I didn't want no cold food an watered down drinks fresh she gave me a dirty look but I got my order re did An was on my way. Why would you NOT have a child's changing table? Driving to the beach and my baby needs changing but of course I have to put him back in the car to find somewhere else or change him in the car. This isn't a new thing and there should be changing stations inside bathrooms. read more

This McDonalds is disgusting. When I first walk in I want to walk away and go somewhere else but I'm hungry and I need to eat. The windows are dirty; fingerprints all over them, spill stains, just completely smudged. Not clean at all. Another I noticed right away was the flies. At least 10-15 flies flying around; sitting on counters, sitting on ME, sitting on the pop machine. What comes to your mind when you think of flies flying around? Dirty mop sitting next to the door, probably was used to clean the floor... yuck. Uncleanliness. I was extremely unhappy with this. I wouldn't even trust the tables to be clean of flies literally sit around everywhere. Before my visit to this McDonalds I stopped by a gas station to take a leak and the bathrooms were horrific. Terrible. I needed to use the bathroom again and I decided to use this McDonalds bathroom. My jaw literally dropped. Horrible. 10x horrible than a gas station. Like I get the gas stations bathroom is dirty but this is McDonalds; a place where I come to eat food, enjoy the food, and be happy. Isn't that what the employees must do? Serve good food, have the customers enjoy it, and keep the place clean and have happy customers. How can I trust the staff to have their hands clean to make my meal of the environment I'm in is a complete mess. Hands down probably the worst McDonald's I've ever been to. Have had numerous bad experiences here. Just today I ordered a buttermilk chicken combo. No tomato and no mayonnaise. I get it out and get ready to eat it after I've been driving for about 10 minutes and it's loaded with mayonnaise and has no lettuce and no tomato. This was the absolute worse McDonalds I have ever been to in my life. We came in late and drive thru was backed up. The dining room was backed up. Dirty, trash was everywhere. And the manager with short hair cussed at all the customers. Cussed at me when I walked away from the register to let another person go in front of me. While we were there a woman came in because she didn't get her McChicken and she basically told her she was a liar and the food was in there. One of the better McDonald trips I have taken. This place seems to always look busy and the staff is friendly. We went for breakfast and there was no grease dripping through the bag. Everything was fresh and tasted really good. I ordered a bacon egg and cheese biscuit meal with a coke. When I received my drink and was asked to pull up it must have been obvious I thought the drink would have been medium because when she brought the food she gave me another.
