This McDonald's is off of a rotary, love to see that. Open late night drive thru. Self ordering machines. Get your own drinks with the cool lid dispensers you already know. What this McDonald's lacked in abstract art like others was made up for by the vibes and friendly staff. Fries were great. Nuggets were ok. Burger was great. Love the pictures on the bathroom doors they are super silly. Cool date table by the Big Mac wall. Lots of families eating in here. Food came out quickly. Food was fine but the person working at the fry station was eating fries out of the place where the fries get salted & ready to serve! He had NO gloves on!! Then no one was at the register & my husband had to say "hello" & that guy who was dipping his un-gloved hand in the fries came over with a mouthful & we paid for our dinner. Was told the total was 11.46$ I get up to the window and the girl tells me 15.75$ I told her that was not the price I was told and someone else came up to the window and said it was 11.46$. Hair In my sandwich - that wasn't even the right sandwich. Hair on our drink. My Mcflurry lid was not on and the lady just watched it drip all over me and walked away while I was asking for napkins. I'm not even someone to send things back but this was disgusting. There was sauce all over the bag of my hair filled wrong sandwich. No stars. McDonald's in the ghetto was better than this. The lady at the window was a fruitcake and seemed high out of their mind as did everyone else when we brought food in to get replaced. Update: tried to get a new McFlurry. This location has always been good. I understand that at this time, they are experiencing a shortage in staff and that that may result in changes of their hours. The past month or so, they've posted their new hours on their drive thru windows. This Saturday night at 11:15, as I went through the drive thru, they were closed; even though their temporary schedule on the window said they were open till 12am Friday and Saturday nights. I called, and they said they closed at 11. Very disappointing... There have been other nights this month where I have gone to order at the drive thru and each screen has only been half on/lit up and nobody answered to take my order. Under the impression that they were closed, I checked the schedule on the drive up window and it said they were open. I then had to go to the second window to find someone to speak to, and the employee there told me they were indeed open, and that the screens were probably doing that because "they hadn't been used in a while." No wonder they haven't "been used", everyone thinks they're closed. Regardless of their poor spreading of awareness that their hours are temporarily changed, they have not updated their hours on any platform. I can only imagine how many other people have driven a distance to get a late night snack and were unable to. I hope things get easier for them as they bring in new staff, especially when it comes to spreading correct information. read more

This is the friendliest McDonald's I've ever been to. The cashier behind the counter (actually maybe a manager or shift leader? Sorry, I don't remember her name) was so welcoming and delivered incredible customer service. She brought out the bulk of my order before the second sandwich was ready, apologizing for the delay when there was none, as far as I was concerned. And the food was top notch! Hotter and fresher than at any other McDonald's. If you're passing through and looking for a bite, I can't recommend this place highly enough. It was a pleasure to dine here! read more

Even though McDonald's isn't one of my preferred fast food spots in general, this location has got the routines down pat! While driving up to New Hampshire, I stopped at Wendy's in Epsom and had a much sub-par experience. Here, between the service, food, and time it took, it really was much superior to Wendy's! At Wendy's, I spent a whopping 14 minutes waiting in line, and they didn't even have everything I was hoping to order either! After waiting all that time and then to be told that I could only order my meal and no Frosty (since their machine was down), how ridiculous! Even though McD's doesn't have even offer everything I'd like it to, this place is pretty good for what it is. There isn't any competition in Alton Bay, but that doesn't drive this McDonald's to charge more or provide slower service (which is a reason that competition for any company exists in the first place, if it didn't, McDonald's could do whatever they wanted). Not only was everyone efficient, fast and friendly, the food was correct and actually much better than anticipated, in a whopping four minutes, with three cars in front of me! After not coming here for years when on vacations in Alton Bay, I stopped here three times throughout my vacation, and each time everything was completely correct! This may only be McDonald's but they set a high standard and no wonder they have no competition. Not a horrible choice for food since service is great and with the lack of options in Alton, a cheap, fast place is always nice to have. 5 stars for McDonald's in Alton. read more

Probably me least favorite McDonald's. Every time they make my coffee wrong. I'm not to picky but if someone says not to stir it then DONT.

This venue requires my daughter to stay working to prepare/handle the food that many eat. She is sick, most likely flu, and management will not let her leave because they could not inspect the garbage bag she vomited in (she has been sick for the last 4 days, and required to work under threat of losing her job). This is also the same venue which resets the timers on their food bins in order to keep their waste numbers down (I've watched it happen, as I worked there full time for my second job years ago). This is why many customers must hurry to a bathroom after eating from this "restaurant". read more

This restaurant re-opened after rebuilding. The food is the same as it was. A little confusing where the condiments were. Don't use packets for ketchup, have to use the little cups and fill them up using very slow dispensers which caused a back-up because that's the same area to get soda. The atmosphere is terrible, very dark walls, acoustics are so bad you can barely have a conversation. In an area that is mostly English speaking they have some other kind of music on. If you want to feel unwelcome this is the place to go. read more

Not only is the service slow, but it seems that this McDonald's is run by twelve year-old kids. The restaurant area is dirty, with napkins and old french fries on the floor, and what can be seen of the kitchen looks twice as dirty. As you approach the drive-up window, you can't help but notice a window high up on the side of the building that features an ancient fly-strip loaded with dead flies. If we can SEE this from the drive-through, then how bad must the rest of the place be? There have been several times that we have waited in the drive-through so long that we just turned off the lights and the engine, along with several other "waiters." Evidently one delay was caused by a shake machine malfunction, and that seemed to slow down the entire restaurant. Whenever there is a long wait, I have yet to hear an apology--just some scared-looking kid at the window shoving a greasy bag at you. Each and every time we have to ask for napkins as well. I don't know if these kids have been told that humans actually prefer having a napkin or two; many of us don't stick our heads in the bag and wolf down our food. It's a shame that things have gotten so bad at this location. As Alton doesn't have much in the way of restaurants, fast or otherwise, this and Dunkin Donuts are about the only choices on the road. My advice would be to get someone older than 12 to supervise and run this particular McDonald's. It used to be convenient to pick a cheap meal there, but based on what I've seen lately, I'll wait and eat when I get home. read more

there was no other person in here besides me and my kids I made the order and we waited quite a bit and there was this one rude girl who acted like it was such a big job to hand me a drink each item we ordered she did this dragging her feet like she didn't want to help us and once she gave it all there was 2 things missing and the milkshake was not what I ordered. I held my anger in cause I had my kids and when I tell her theres food missing she walks off and does something else and didn't help me. it was so disrespectful.. it seems like its a bunch of young kids who do not care about how they treat customers or even if its clean in there.. just a joke... read more

I absolutely love the service at this McDonalds. The employees here are very friendly and never get my order wrong. I never find myself waiting very long when I stop in either, even on the busiest of weekends. Just a great place. I wish every McDonalds I went to was as nice to go to as this one. read more
