If you come at night around 7-8 oclock get ready to wait. I ordered through the app and waited 30-45 minutes for a Big Mac and fries. Kinda of ridiculous if you ask me. I literally called the people at Mcdonalds and asked for the wait time for a drive thru order. They told me 5-10 minutes but they are lying to you. They told me they only got 1 person in the kitchen. Sounds like poor management and lazy workers to me. This is McDonalds is the most poorly operated fast food restaurant I've ever been too. I placed an order on the app for my grandson to eat after cross country practice. Unfortunately McDonalds is his favorite after school place. I double checked my order before placing it because he's picky and I'm careful. We waited 25 minutes after arriving on the property and pulling into curbside. Even after waiting a crazy amount of time the order was wrong and incomplete when delivered. We've been to other McDonalds and the one in Southern Pines should just close. They can't produce food In an approximate time frame and no matter how simple the order is they screw it up! I come here to this area to visit relatives and I can't believe the reviews. Every time I come it's clean with someone always cleaning. I usually come late night and at 3 am they are fri badly and attentive. Sometimes I want their big breakfast and they make it special even though it's not available at that time usually. When I come during the day it is packed but I never wait long and everyone is friendly. I can't say that when I go to other mc Donald's where they mess up the order, not friendly and the food is cold. Here it's above average in all aspects. This is a 24/7 store and it's busy more than others around it but they still give great service. They need to have the big breakfast on the 24 hour menu though as it's nice to have it at 3 am :-) read more

Probably one of the worst stores I've gone to. Nearly always forgets to give you straws with your drink AND more times than not, your order will be wrong. I have tried repeatedly to get in touch with the manager but the phone is constantly busy. Growing up working in a McDonald's restaurant as a teen and in the Corporate office in Illinois for nearly 8 years, I can tell you this store does NOT follow standards that most stores do. This McDonalds is hit or miss, with an emphasis on MISS! My husband and I really like their coffee. However receiving our coffee how we ordered it is a challenge. We order it the same way every time we go through the drive thru. Some days there's no cream, some days they put sugar instead of the Splenda we ask for. Even today I say good morning, thank you, there is Splenda in them, right? The response, I don't know I didn't make it. Okay ma'am would you please ask, oh no she put sugar in them....okay clearly on the cup it said cream and Splenda. So I requested they remake them. They brought me the same exact coffee and told me there was Splenda in them. I know this seems trivial to the other things that are going on in the world today but this is a clear indication in the lack of accountability and standards we've come accustomed too. If I pay for a product I should receive the product I purchased. In my opinion, McDonalds employees that do their jobs well should be compensated well ,if they perform substandard then get rid of them. We waited for 10 mins and asked a worker walking by when it will be ready. She said they were working on it. We waited another 15. Drive through is moving fine. I finally walk in and find the order cold and mcflurries melted sitting on the counter. No one would look at or talk to me.
