We originally reserved the home in late 2024 for a large family gathering planned for June 2026. This was intended to be a family event--not a party--and the property appeared to have adequate space to accommodate us. At the time of booking, the listing stated the home could sleep 18 guests (and I believe it still does). We understood there would be additional fees for more than 10 overnight guests and were prepared to pay those fees, as we expected around 20 family members to stay overnight due to out-of-town travel. In addition, we planned for approximately 40 total attendees during the main gathering on Saturday. In May 2026, when we logged in to pay the remaining balance, we noticed that several house rules had changed since our original reservation. These updates included a maximum occupancy of 16 guests, with no more than 10 adults allowed. The updated rules indicated that having more than 10 adults would place excessive strain on the septic system. After seeing this, I contacted the host, Linton Realty, the following day to explain our plans and expected attendance. I was informed that they could not accommodate our group under these new restrictions. I was also told that if more than 16 people were on the property at any time, the reservation would be canceled and we would be asked to leave. Additionally, they noted they would be monitoring the situation, along with nearby neighbors. Learning about these significant changes just three weeks before our scheduled gathering created a major problem. As a result, we had to cancel plans for many of our out-of-town relatives due to the strict occupancy limits. If policies change after reservations have been made, it seems reasonable that guests should be notified directly. Unfortunately, we received no communication about these updates. Advance notice would have allowed us to make different arrangements, and in such circumstances, a full refund should be considered if the new rules no longer align with the original booking expectations. Moving forward, I hope there will be better communication regarding important property changes.

The home was exactly as described, and actually even better in person. It was clean, spacious, and perfect for our family. We also really appreciated that they honored our request for an early check-in when availability allowed, which was a nice added touch. Everything about the rental exceeded our expectations, and we truly enjoyed our time there. We absolutely love our stay; Hartwell is such a beautiful location. This stay made us appreciate it even more and we look forward to returning in the spring or summer...We would definitely stay here again and would gladly consider booking with this management group in the future. Every turn with Budget Blinds of Winder has been very shady (no pun intended!!)…read more They completely screwed up half of our order. Said we ordered one product, when we obviously ordered a completely different one. Then tried to claim it was our fault! Tried to show us scribbled codes on an order sheet (which mean absolutely nothing to the customer - only to the person who wrote the order incorrectly!!) and say that was "proof" of what we "meant" to order. And mind you... all of this back and forth is delaying us getting the product we actually did in fact order. This all fully explains why I was told by their installer, Kevin, the day this all started, that "the owner has a whole garage full of blinds, shutters, and other product that they'll never get rid of, and it's all from mis-orders, duplicate orders, and other mistakes we've made". That's a direct quote from their own employee's lips. So it sounds like we are not the first customers who have experienced this.

The receptionist said he was going to ask the owners what was up and would call me right back. I called him back a day later. He promised to call me back this time to tell me what was going on. He also told me my paperwork had been filed away in the "completed" files of their office. Budget Blinds made the assumption that the job had been completed by the guy they employ to construct the blinds. Anyway, in mid December, Carlos shows up a day late to install blinds. I had to take an extra day off work. At that time, I called to speak with owners. Left message. To this date, no owner has called back. I complained about one of the shutters slats being uneven, and brackets had not been removed from old blinds. A month later Carlos shows up a day late to fix blinds and remove brackets. Had to take another day off work and he did neither of the two jobs he was supposed to. He moved a few slats around, that's it. The only time I received a phone call from the owner at all was to collect the remaining monies. I had written them a letter, detailing this whole ordeal, hoping they would do the right thing. They did not. I paid them what my contract said less bracket removal and today, I am free of this very unprofessional company. Thumbs way down on Budget Blinds Jefferson located in Winder, Ga. Buying a house today is pretty crazy, much crazier than when we bought our first home. There's so much more paperwork, so many more requirements from lenders, so many hoops you have to jump through, etc. Then there's the massive growth, the new location, the wide variety of builder quality, etc. Throughout the entire process, Jenifer was absolutely essential! She not only went above and beyond helping us find a home, but she advocated for us, guided us, answered questions, roped in all of the parties of the process and fostered communication, and just had our back every step of the way. She is a person of action. But more importantly, Jenifer is a very genuine and caring person. Our closing got pushed to just days before Christmas. We had sold our house, packed up our life, our children, our pets, our cars, etc and made our way to what would soon be our new home. Then last minute, everything began to fall part (at no fault of hers). We began hearing from the different parties, while in our sketchy tiny budget motel with a zoo, 26' truck and trailer parked outside, movers scheduled, truck return scheduled, etc... that we may not even close for a few weeks; To say the least, my wife and I found ourselves in deep despair. Jenifer not only went into overdrive to put all of the pieces back together (a job she didn't have to do), but she reassured us, prayed for us, and kept our focus on what mattered. Everything went down to the wire and behind the scenes, Jenifer was there making it happen. Suffice to say, I genuinely believe that the Lord placed her in our life. To us, she's like family... she treated us just like one of her own and we cannot recommend her enough!

A realtor from this company showed our house and there was massive water damage that was done to…read moreour home during the showing. We have documentation from the city to prove that it happened during this showing. I have contacted the realtor, the CEO/founder and left messages at the office for ANYBODY to call me back. They will not return my calls. There was one realtor that sent a "no we didn't" email to my realtor who had absolutely nothing to do with this incident. Bluefield Realty is unprofessional and disrespectful to say the least. There was one person that actually treated me like a real person and was sympathetic to the issue (Gus) he actually tried to have someone assist me but to no avail.
