They offer a very good menu with very good prices and portion sizes are absolutely massive, which makes it very cheap to eat. The food we have had is prepared and cooked fresh and the taste has never been poor. It is clean and tidy, in fact as a table becomes vacant it is cleared. Overall great service everytime. Keep it up.

We've been going to them for many years and we so enjoy their curry chips, roast Pork fried rice , and honey barbecue ribs + salt n pepper ribs . Now that I live elsewhere I travelled back to the shop while passing through the area hoping to get a taste of the unique flavours once again. Visited 2025 November/ December it was very bad , ribs was full of fat no meat no cartilage, no honey , not crispy or well done. The Roast pork was dry and lacked flavour, felt like the rice was just only doused in soya sauce and butter. We also ordered prawn balls they where good but the sweet n sour sauce that comes with it was tart not sweet and smelt like bleach overall a bad experience, was overpriced and not value for money . The only thing that was fabulous was the curry chips.

Excellent cod and chips at a very descent price and friendly service. I would definitely go again.read more

Lord Northbrook has a reputation for a great Sunday roast and boy do they deliver! On the last…read morevisit I had the mixed roast consisting of beef, lamb and pork, veggies, roast potatoes, Yorkshire puds and cauliflower cheese. All of that for £16 (I think) and it is seriously tasty. The service from the wait staff can be a little slow once you're sat down but the food comes quickly and hot. I always recommend the Lord Northbrook and I've taken visiting friends here for dinner. A beautifully refurbed old boozer now a Gastro pub. Doesn't really get much better. I only give it 4 stars though as the menu selection can be a little limited if you have a picky rate in your midst and they're not the cheapest of venues either. Don't let that put you off though.

Staff tried blaming it on being "busy," which is laughable considering there were only three customers waiting and around six people in the kitchen. To make matters worse, the burger itself was absolutely disgusting. It was drowned in so much sauce that it completely ruined the meal -- sloppy, inedible, and careless. This was hands down one of the worst burgers I've ever been served. A real shame, but more than that, a complete failure.
