    Clark Motor Company

To be accurate... Pudding is the name the technician said, not I. I never got upset and was always…read morepolite. I gave my correct name which Sarah has known for several years. The owner knows me and my family. I've worked for him. How or why would I give a fake name. They also have my name in their computer from when they changed my spark plugs in the last 6 months or so. Sarah blew up several times when I spoke with her about working on my car. Maybe she was frustrated with working on the trucks for their trucking company, I don't know. She kept saying people were mad because they hadn't finished their vehicles yet. They didn't spend hours diagnosing anything on my car. If they had, they would have found what a good shop found in one hour. The only auto shop I've left comments about is this auto shop. The next shop I went to diagnosed and repaired my vehicle in 2 hours. They thought I was losing oil. but I told them what Sarah had told me. She said she spilled oil over the engine and I would be smelling oil burning for awhile. I requested regular oil for the oil change because I read and was told that is a better option for my older engine. The owner of Clark Motor Co told me that they don't do electrical work which contradicts what is listed as available services on their website. Their responses to me have been dishonest, including here on Yelp, and it is a disappointment because I expected honesty from a business who is owned and operated by a Seventh Day Adventist. I learned from the excellent shop I went to after this poor experience that Sarah didn't find the problems with my car. She said it needed a fan that isn't on my car ( 2 fans in one module). The problem was the fan switch. Everyone who has looked at my fans since says there are 2 seperate fans. I can easily see that myself. She claimed I needed the one module with 2 fans saying it wasn't available anywhere and the cost was $300. I then called around to local auto parts stores; all of them had the 3 fan options for my car available the next morning. When I told her that, she sent me the text in the photo in which she changed her story, again being dishonest. No matter, the problem was the fan switch, as the reputable shop I took it to immediately found. Maybe this is why she said she didn't want to throw a bunch of money into lots of parts, I can only assume because of her inability to diagnose the problem. Also the $65 pressure test didn't reveal what the other shop found, that I needed a new head gasket. The other shop immediately found that and the need for a new fan switch. She did the pressure test at the beginning of the eight days they had my car. I had to wait over a week for an overpriced oil change. As far as paranoia I would say Sarah is afraid I'm going to affect her livelihood. What I would say, along with others I've spoken to since my really bad experience at Clark's, is that I and they wouldn't let her touch our cars. I was since told by a friend Sarah has mental issues. I do know that when her "depression dog" is at the shop, a German Shepherd, it's hard to hear what she says because of the loud barking unless he's chewing on and throwing a tire around. Sarah has only been certified as a mechanic since fall of last year and isn't a seasoned mechanic. To reiterate, the photo included is a note from Sarah after the shop had my car 8 days. The single module she refers to in the photo is around $300 at the parts store. Single fans they carry, which my car has, are about $50, but my car needed a new fan switch not a fan. After the oil change she said I needed a new bushing on the front end which delayed my car another day. The next morning she said it must have been the shadows in the shop and it was fine and to come pick up my car. Also, my car came back smelling of cigarettes and the odor hasn't left. I don't smoke. Sarah has twisted everything I say to an untruth, as in her Yelp response, to try to be to her advantage; or to something that doesn't even make sense. I believe Sarah has sociopathic tendencies and I am praying for her. I don't recommend this shop I'm sorry to say. It doesn't make me happy to tell my experience at Clark Motor Co.. I did write negative reviews for only one other company (not automotive) because of a poor installation at my place. The company now has a new manager over that department and the technician that did the installation is no longer with the company. The company made the installation right. I'm thankful for the power of the pen! If that is paranoia then I am paranoid. I think not!
