Came to the opening weekend and traffic was controlled and directed better than last year. They had three lines for mobile check in, although there was still a wait. I recommend staying in "lane one" or getting checked in with one of the staffs to speed up the wait. Lots of food and activities for kids and families. If you go at 10 when they open, you will for sure have something to do until closing time. I recommend bringing lots of water, sunscreen, hats, snacks, and food. If you have any questions where to get popcorn, feed the goats, locate zip lines, apple artillery, etc. you can ask the staff they are very helpful.

I am going to make this short and sweet since other reviews expound on all of the various activities available here. In a nutshell: 1. This business is on top of their game, they are very organized and systemitized. 2. They are responsive - I sent a message asking how to retrieve my ticket as purchased online, and I got a response within an hour. 3. If you are traveling there from the west be sure to follow their directions - exit further east and backtrack - you will get into the park much faster when traffic is heavy. 4. Adult entry fee is roughly $20. This includes several activities including a tractor pulled hay ride out to the pumpkin patch. 5. Pumpkins cost between $2 and $11 depending on size. Once you get your pumpkin you pay for it and then have to take it to your car. My overall feeling... Well, we drove 45 minutes to get there, paid our admission $20 to get in, waited in line for about 20 minutes for some grub which cost $16 (brisket plate). We waited about 15 minutes to get on a hayride to the pumpkin patch. We waited in line to pay for the pumpkin. We waited in line to exit the park - roughly 15 minutes. For me, it was like paying $36 to have lunch and wait in a bunch of lines. I think it's great for families, but if you're an adult with friends I'm not sure it's worth it. I did it once and wouldn't go again. But I did certainly enjoy my time there.

This is not for the faint of heart! Be aware there is an overwhelming amount of activities to do! Admission fees is in the mid 20's, and there is also punch cards that can save you money in the long run for other activities that you pay! Doors open @1000on Saturday and Sunday's! There are food stands and small stores inside. There is a pumpkin patch and a corn maze, feed the goats, zip line for kids, shoots the cannons with apples, other games for kids, pig races, slides in a play castle and much more. Make sure to bring sun screen and a hat. Stay hydrated since you will be out in the outdoors. They have portable restrooms and restrooms stalls that are kept clean. So many places to sit and relax. They sell various drinks from soda, lemonade and apple cider and much more. Overall it's a place that you must visit during this wonderful fall season! To wrap it up there is a sweet shop to buy your sweets as a treat of your hard walking through this wonderful place!

Went this year. I have to say it's a little different from other pumpkin patches I've been to. It feels like a pumpkin theme carnival. My son had fun. There's a lot to do but surely the admission is on the higher side too. Many of the free activities are beat up old. The bowling sets are very torn up. The mini town actually looks like a ghost town, the jail is the only one everyone's taking pictures with. Corn maze is fun and free. Train ride is like $4 or $3 extra.

    Pumpkins galore.

It is an easy drive out to Moriarty to visit this pumpkin wonderland. So many activities for all ages. There is a tractor pulled haywagons out to the pumpkin patch. There is a little train. There is a bucking bronco ride. There is a Cinderella castle and coach. You can make appointments for little girls to get Princess makeovers inside. There are tons of food locations that include funnel cakes, churros, grilled cheese sandwiches and chicken tortilla soup or tomato soup. You can grill your own hotdogs or make your own s'mores. There is macaroni and cheese with or without green chili. There is a fabulous bakery, a sweet shop with homemade fudge, kettle corn, and the lust goes on. There is a corn pen for kids to play in, and so many more children related activities. It is only for a short period of time that they do this over the Halloween season. The haunted village, which takes place at night was sold out. There is plenty of parking with an abundance of staff directing you. There were tons of people, but it was so spread out, it was not crowded. It reminded me a lot of a smaller Knott's Berry Farm. Looking forward to going back next year.

Dennis Garcia, marketing director with McCall Pumpkin Patch, messaged me shortly after my original review and thanked me. While doing so he also addressed my concern regarding no military discount. He wrote that in lieu of a discount they dedicate one day each year to Service Members and Veterans and provide free entry. He wrote that day is Columbus Day each year. Today was Columbus Day, I took my daughter out there only to hear them claim that free day was last week some time. I'm not sure what kind of scam they're running, but it's not cool. So they got my 31 bucks entry fee, but that's the last they'll ever get. Brothers, take your business elsewhere. Somewhere where you're appreciated.

We splurged and went to McCall's Haunted Farm tonight with the VIP passes for the dual plus haunts. It was pricey at $50+ per person but so worth it! We were worried when we heard that they sold over 1800 tickets in online sales alone for the night. We thought that might mean parking nightmares and big lines. We were surprised to find that parking was easy and fast. Their line system was really well thought out, even for the non VIP guests, so everyone had fun. The entire park was like one big party with dancing and music. The Field of Screams was our biggest surprise! We thought it was just going to be a corn maze in the dark but it was like a haunted house outside. The product quality was Disney level and it was amazing! The scares and surprises were way more than our wildest hopes! The haunted barn was so good too! The scares came from all around us! Yes - even from above AND below! Things were interactive in ways we never would have expected. We are huge haunted house lovers but this was better than we hoped! We also did the side exhibits like the zombie paintball shooting and the clown curtain maze. Totally worth it!!!! And the pie is to die for! We will be back every single year! It's a must!

What a great fall/harvest experience that totally exceeded my expectations! Impeccable organization with tons of volunteers and the Sheriff's Department assisting with traffic/ parking. I felt extremely safe and the entire time and they really do cater to families. They have paintball guns, a giant pumpkin toss, bounce house, princess castle, a fort to climb, pig races, fresh bbq and kettlecorn, games, hot dog and smores roasting, and a beautiful hayride. Best of all... the pumpkin selection!!! We found three beauties and had so much fun. I would expect to stay about 5 hours and prepare to spend about $100 on "extras" and food (parking is FREE). I cannot wait to go back next fall and try out the evening haunted house and corn maze!!

McCall's Pumpkin Patch pancake mix! Yours for only $7.49. Just add pumpkin.

Visit on 10/21/16: Bought a ticket for two haunts: the Haunted Barn and the Field of Screams. Although the waiting time is several hours long, we passed it dancing on the dance floor, roasting hot dogs, and getting samples of fudge. The Haunted Barn really is pretty spooktacular. You can tell a lot of effort went into the effects, lighting, and the actors' costumes and makeup to give visitors a good jolt. It's impressive. I also saw what looked like a 14-year-old boy (hard to tell because he/she was running so fast) bolt out of the Field of Screams doing, what else, screaming, with Chainsaw Man hot on his tail like a wolf pursuing a rabbit. Skip the goodies store, it's a tourist trap. The McCall's Pumpkin Patch pancake mix, are they joking? All you need to do is add pumpkin! Read the list of ingredients: no pumpkin whatsoever, might as well just call it pancake mix. Can buy more pumpkin pancake mix at Trader Joe's for less than half the price, plus it already has pumpkin in it.

Gal dern amazing! Bought tickets online, skipped the line. Started with a delicious and reasonably priced brisket sandwich. The food line was a bit long, but well managed and worth the wait. Next up...corn maze. This was a great experience. You can choose to make a trivia game out of the maze. When you answer the questions right, it tells you what direction to go...SUPER fun for the whole family. I was impressed. Now off to the goat petting and livestock. Even the baby loved it. There were so many great attractions for the 14 bucks we paid. So much fun. We to the hay ride out to the pumpkin patch and picked out some beautiful pumpkins. Two medium sized pumpkins and one teeny tiny pumpkin was $6.75 total. Wow...cannot beat that price. We topped off the day with some pumpkin sweets from the sweets shoppe and moseyed through the country store for possible souvenirs. We left with pumpkin covered pretzels...yum. The whole family had a great time from beginning to end. The day was perfect. It really got us in the Fall spirit. Cannot WAIT to return next year.

Hey Y'all! Has anyone been here recently? If so....is it worth the $17 bones to go? Specifically, for 3.5 year olds.

It depends on how many activities your child will do. The petting zoo and hayride are closed due to COVID. Those were two things we were looking forward to with our 1 year old. There wasn't a lot of activities for her. We did enjoy picking pumpkins… Read more

Driving by, I had so many questions: Was this a local effort, benefitting local farmers or charitable organizations? I mean, it just seemed so random. In my experience, pumpkin patches take place on farms, or they're organized by church groups, providing a sort of down home country experience, with hay rides and pig races, that sorta thing. So when I got home, I checked out their website, and now that we've visited, here's my understanding of this, um, experience: + Not local, "Seasonal Adventures is currently the largest privately owned pumpkin and Christmas tree retailer in the country." Yes, we're getting a Christmas tree farm in November, evidently. + Doesn't benefit local farmers, the pumpkins are shipped out of Ventura, California. + Not seeing anything benefitting any charity, but I'll throw in this asterisk: This company does try to accommodate people with special needs. That's important, because many kids and adults simply cannot attend festivities like these, due to sensory issues. Good job, guys. That said, my inner swindle skeptic is hollering flim-flam after dropping $60 on two kids during just one hour. A trip down an inflatable slide, just one, cost a dollar. Games were free, but prizes -- every kid wins -- were poor quality and pricey, a plastic beach ball ran three bones. The cost of a pumpkin? Starting at $11. In the end, this didn't deliver any of the charm of a legit autumn festival, it was understaffed, and we felt deceived. At the same price point you can spend a day at McCall's, and support a great local farm.

The food and coffee here aren't excellent. No question. Surprisingly strong spice level for an old town location, good range of New Mexican AND coffee shop menu options for breakfast and lunch. I had the enchiladas and added eggs and bacon, which is essentially Huevos Rancheros the way it is served in bowl form. Potatoes, beans, and chile flavors all complimented each other well, nice garnish and nice presentation. Had house coffee which is SOLID. The service style is counter ordering with a number, which for me is a great system. Negative - the coffee service with food is a bit confusing. Coffee comes in a paper cup for everyone apparently, which feels a bit sloppy. Mugs would be really nice. Also, because coffee is served with meal by table delivery, coffee takes a long time to get to the table. I personally like my coffee immediately and intravenously, so this was frustrating. The patio is lovely - the tables are weird. There are only large group tables, no small tables. BIGGEST Negative - parking. I looked at the social media, menu, website, and the parking problem is not addressed anywhere that I could easily find. The adjacent city lot is priced for tourists - $12 flat rate. Given that the numerous other breakfast options in the area have free and close parking, in our lamentably car-driven culture, Tiny Grocer is at a big disadvantage. I'm sure this is a recurring and difficult problem, and I would suggest blasting a solution on all social media, pinned posts, first line in bio, menu, everywhere. People could park on 18th st, 19th st, next to Tiguex park, and take a short walk to a lovely experience.

My host in Albuquerque drove me around, first to an Indian market - they mostly had pottery, textiles, and jewelry - then thought to come to Old Town. We drove around looking for street parking, but then decided that we'd have to pay for parking. Unfortunately the different lots in the area use different parking apps, so the first one we drove through was the wrong one. We passed by the Tiny Grocer, though, and I noticed that they had a couple of free parking spots for their patrons. I suggested that we stop in for a quick look, and lo and behold they had the sort of stuff I was looking for. I wasn't able to find blue corn pancake mix, but they had loaves of bread made with blue corn. I found some prickly pear preserves to go along with it, and picked up a Christmas chile spice blend for good measure. They bagged my purchases up in a brown paper gift bag, so I didn't even have to stop for one on my way to the dogsitter. It might have been nice to spend some time strolling around Old Town, but I'm not going to complain about accomplishing my mission so efficiently.
