We went to this pumpkin patch opening weekend! The weather was perfect, we got so lucky. This place is perfect to go with a toddler. They have a lot of different activities, including a corn pit and an area that you can feed the donkeys and play with other horse toys. All of the pumpkins that they had were beautiful, and I saw online that all of the pumpkins are locally sourced. The way that they displayed, the pumpkins were very nice and they have a very good variety of very small and very large pumpkins. This is the perfect place for a weekend. We bought some very cute pumpkins while we were there as well. The prices are good and reasonable. The workers are nice. The service for buying tickets is great. read more

Found this place on yelp as a last minute stop and it was adorable. There is a entrance fee and fee for the goat feed but since we went during the week there was not extra fees for the other attractions. So many little areas to play in including a corn pit, giant chess games, football throwing, water duck racing, and basketball. Definitely a good place to burn kid energy! There was also a bunch of different animals including goats, big, cow, and pony. All were close enough the pet and if you purchase feed, you can feed the goats. The pumpkin area was fairly well priced and there was quite a variety of sizes too although we weren't able to buy any since we were vacationing. I'm between a 3 and a 4 rating of this, my toddler would rate this a 5 I'm sure. First off, the price has gone up as has every little item in the patch, it used to be expensive pumpkins, charge for some things, and free admission. Now it was a bit pricey to go in, the goat petting was an extra charge, one food/drink vendor on the hot concrete, and the worst was the corn pit. I know every kid loves the corn pit. You know what I didn't love, the bits of human feces in it. Parents, please look around, your kids are playing in corn and poop from kids picking their butts from corn and diapers. It was disgusting. It would be great if it was cleaned out once and a while, but it clearly is not. read more

This place was fantastic! I took my grand daughter there and she had so much fun. There were animals to feed and pet. There were games to play and things to do. The corn pit was an absolute favorite. Plan on spending a few hours when you come. There were several places to take photographs. The staff were very helpful about helping to take pictures. Highly recommended for little kids! Newly rebranded to Galloping GOAT. With a little over a week left for pumpkin patches I definitely recommend this one. There are so many activities to keep little hands and feet busy without worrying what they might get into. Be careful the asphalt is in disrepair in a lot of places. Unsteady walkers will probably get their hands cut up from falls, as did mine. We took kids ages 6, 4, and 1.5. They all found fun things to do and were solidly entertained for the 3 hours we were there. Some highlights were the bike races for two age groups, the little themed houses (their fave part), mini golf, and the goats (but be aware of hands. They bite!) I took my kids to galloping grace pumpkin patch. We had gone in the past. This year was a little more pricey. Everything was extra, extra, extra! The work they put into the whole thing was nice. Petting zoo was the reason we came it's extra to go inside the fence. Which there are only a couple goats which were already full. The paintball area was cool and was worth paying extra. My son loved that. We liked the four square area as well. We just got a few small pumpkins on the way out because again you have to pay extra on top of admission to get a pumpkin. read more

This place used to be an affordable and cute nonprofit, but I believe it was sold and rebranded as Galloping Goat now -so times have changed. It still has the same concept where you pay to get in and you get to see a bunch of animals and do a bunch of games and such. However, it has gotten pricey and once your'e in there are a lot of additional cost things that add up real quick. The prices are now $7 for an adult to get in and $5 for a kid. Personally, I think adults should be free or at least cheaper than the kid price because they're not the ones doing the playing. Also, if you want to feed the animals it costs extra (50 cents for feed is affordable, but it's $3 per person if you want to walk into the goat feeding area). Also, paint ball is additional $5. So if a family is going the prices all add up really quick. The activities were cute for the kids, but I don't know if it was worth the price. My 5 year old daughter had fun but my 8 year old only really liked the animals and shooting basketballs. I wish this was the same little pumpkin patch it originally was, but I know I'm living in the past. I think it's a fun little outing, but don't expect a big pumpkin field, hayrides, or anything like that. read more

I gotta begin by stating that this pumpkin patch is a metaphoric microcosm of the city of Rio Rancho. They take this big stretch of tar parking lot and cover it with color, straw bales, games, a maze, a slide, pumpkin gallery, pig racetrack and indeed, a mud pie kitchen, completely constructing something out of literally nothing. Which is Rio Rancho. Nothing out there, no water, no trees, but plenty of beachfront, so what the heck, let's build a city. Darn you, working-class parents, why did you deny me Country? I'm assuming I can blame my Big City childhood for never encountering a corn sandbox, my entire life. This pumpkin patch hosts a huge vat of corn kernels, and once I got in, I really didn't want to get out. I buried my kid in the corn and then she did the same thing to me and then a bunch of other kids got in on the burial, it was a good time, as long as I didn't concentrate on the idea that I was quite likely swimming in a germ swamp. But that price point, boy, what a rip-off. Three entire dollars per person? Supporting a nonprofit that supports community agriculture and food recovery in the state with the highest child poverty rate in the country? How dare you. It's a great experience connected to a terrific organization and the pumpkin selection is enormous and affordable. If you make an annual pilgrimage to McCall's every year, don't change your itinerary, but add this place to your autumn to-do list. As of November 1st, it'll be a mirage. read more

This place is amazing, Enough said....but I won't stop there :) the entire program that the Youth Ranch offers is awesome in itself and the pumpkin patch that they do every fall is just a huge bonus. Our family could spend hours there every weekend (if the kids had their way) it's safe, it's free, it's fun. The pumpkins are top notch, the animals are great, the games and activities are awesome! This is such a cute and fun place to bring your little ones! The space isn't enormous, but they have so many things to see and do. There is a mini golf course, duck races, mini bean bags throws, corn hole, throw the football through the target, mini peddling tractors to ride, a corn pit, animals (there is an additional fee to get into the little goat petting zoo portion) but otherwise they had pigs, cows, chickens and larger goats. There is also a paint ball area where you can shoot at targets. The adults of our group liked this :) There is a mini food and snack stand. I wouldn't count on eating a substantial meal here, but it's good enough if you get the munchies. There are also plenty of ports potties scattered all over. $4 to get in at the door, pumpkins priced based on size, $3 for the petting zoo, $3/cup for paintballs. For a few hours of fun, we spent $25 and it was we worth it. read more

My family LOVES the Galloping Grace Youth Pumpkin Patch. We go there Every Year! It's FREE!! We spend the whole day there! My toddler loves it. My teen nephews love it. My husband loves it. There is something for everyone of all ages and it's fantastic! They have so many great farm animals. Wonderful staff. A REALLY big, fully shaded, corn pit! There is bowling. There is mini golf. There is basketball. Sling shot tennis. Mini pedal tractors. Mud kitchen. Rubber duck race. Pumpkin decorating. Pig baby shower. Ggyr.org is such a great organization. They use the donations they receive to do wonderful things with all the children in New Mexico. I highly recommend taking the drive to go visit them. The nonprofit Galloping Grace Youth Ranch offers and promotes programs in which children are involved in raising animals, growing crops, exploring the outdoors, and enhancing the community. We had so much fun! There was a lot of things for the kids and there was a lot of pumpkins. Its not the traditional pumpkin patch with a hay ride, but it's worth it. We loved seeing all the animals, playing in some corn, going through the maze. It was a lot of fun. read more

We went to this last Thursday October 8th with out of town company for the balloon fiesta. It was great even compared to their Nebraska farm pumpkin patch standards. It is FREE so that is a plus but be prepared to shell out a few dollars on the petting zoo and food to feed the animals...still a great deal!!
