At least we got a bit of walking out from the sun around the mall. Two sunglass huts here, even a small kiosk inside of Macy's too. Small smaller kiosks in the center walkway of the mall. Came to look for cheaper polarized throwaway glasses since my hubby left his favorite RB's back at home.

I love that the Coronado Center keeps bringing in new, quality stores like Lolli and Pops and the Escape Room! It's really exciting to see that See's Candy is back too! Everything is kept super clean and they keep a careful balance between nostalgia as well as fresh new options. It's a really fun place for families as well as couples or even just to come for alone time!

Coronado Center has signs posted outside every entrance that are very well written and that state clearly their intention to enforce New Mexico's face mask requirements. However, inside the mall, dozens of customers as well as merchants sport uncovered faces. While I was doing business at one of the storefronts, three people walked in, one masked and two unmasked. I asked the employee who was helping me if they allow customers to enter the store without facemasks. He said, "We ask them to wear a mask, but that's all we can do." He did not say anything to the 2 unmasked customers. I definitely will not continue shopping in this mall.

Can't go wrong with the good old mall! A lot of people under rate it because they think it's expensive. I feel differently. If you always get bargains, how can it be expensive ;) through the years probably been in just about every store in it. I love the food court the most. I also love the stores that have jewelry. I love the side stands with sweaters necklaces Vape products etc. The only thing I don't like is when the girls supposedly welcoming at the door are total snotty snobs. Other than that it's just such a fantastic place.

A letter slide, the whole play area is alphabet themed

What can you expect from the one mall in town? (Winrock is coming up but is not quite shopper ready) Walking through this mall is mayhem unless you are there right at 10am. The flow is really uncomfortable to be honest, most folks don't understand traffic patterns or just don't care to walk on the right side. If the mall somehow reminded people of that simple courtesy I know my family and I would enjoy shopping here more. Furthermore, people love to walk right on your heels. I know nothing can really be done about this so im not gonna harp to loud on the fact. Improving it somehow would improve sales all around because folks could actually get to where they want without being 'tailgated', as my fiance calls it. The food court is a highlight of Coronado with a Johnny Rockets which takes me back to high school and a really delicious Chinese food place called Hawaiian Grill. They offer a 2 entree plate for under 6 bucks, best deal in the court. The most munch for your money by far. Chipotle recently set up shop and you can wash it all down with some ice cream at Dairy Queen or frozen yogurt at Kiva Juice. We spend a lot of time and money here mainly because there are not a lot of other options. I can't complain about it too hard there are some things I would like to see improved upon but those are somewhat out of the Management's control, somewhat. Decent family outing spot with a good variety of storefronts and it is centrally located in the city.

My friend had a bunch of Native American shops bookmarked and they were all in this general area so we came to do multiple things at the same time. The shops here are closer to the reservation with lots of Native American artists so it is much more affordable than the same thing in Santa Fe. It is a bit touristy but we are tourists so we enjoyed it. Many shops had unique items that were hard to find and even though it was mainly for show I loved seeing the dried chili everywhere. The area has legit history and age and it was great being able to see and do so much without moving our car. Parking was easy and from the town square you can get to many different shops, restaurants, and attractions. The church was a nice fast stop, but I liked the exterior more than the interior. The vibe and architecture are perfect American Southwest and we enjoyed our time here. There was also a Pokemon card shop I grabbed some cards for the kids from!

This review is for a specific free event held at the Cottonwood Mall:…read moreTeenage Mutant Ninja Turtles 40th Anniversary Sunday, August 6, 2024 3 pm - 6 pm Mall foyer, lower level The purpose of the event was to celebrate the 40th Anniversary of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles (TMNT). Per the event description, consumers were promised: the turtle Michaelangelo and Turtles would be present for a meet and greet, photo op, interactive games, and a special ninja performance. In reality, consumers got one turtle on a 11x14 stage with a simple backdrop of balloons. No music, no performance, no interactive games or activities and no other turtles. My family and I showed up at 2:50 pm, and were told by the event organizers that the event would begin at 3:30 pm. Well, there was already a long line of folks waiting in line hoping to get their photo op with the greatest TMNT. The line began at the lower level foyer (near escalators and elevators) and continued through the mall to the Mor Furniture Store. I estimated over 1200 people attended this event. I only identified three security guards, mind you, were inexperienced with handling a large crowd and could not maintain crowd control. At 3:30 pm, an imposter Donatello shows up and everyone cheers loudly and excitedly thinking the show was finally going to get started. Donatello began taking photos at the floor level with anyone and everyone that approached him. The families at the beginning of the line were confused, mad, and wondering why other people were getting priority when they had waited in line for at least 1.5 hours before showtime. A few minutes later, it became clear the show hadn't started, and rather, it was just another person wearing a Donatello suit and wanted to compart the joy and smiles throughout the mall with TMNT fans. At 3:50 pm, Michaelangelo finally jumps on stage. People swarm to the front of the stage for their photo op. At the same time, those in line were finally freed from their chains and let one family at a time to take their photo. Mind you, there was still no music. No other turtles, no other activities happening. Just a lonely Michaelangelo that appeared to have drank 30 Red Bulls taking photos with families one by one. My family and I got our photo from the front of stage, and left the area to go shopping with the intent of returning to the event in the hopes more of the promised activities and turtles would show. At 4:15 pm, we return but still there is nothing. Just more people moving through the sloth-like line waiting patiently to get their photo. I felt it necessary to express my extreme disappointment and the failure of the event on the Facebook event page, hosted by Cottonwood Mall in the hopes that the management and/or event coordinator's would take my feedback as a learned experience. Shortly after I posted my feedback, others followed suit. There were over 130 "reactions" on my post, and over 100 comments on my post. Everyone saying the same thing: poorly planned event; do better; my children left crying because the event ended 10 minutes early and they missed their photo opportunity with their favorite turtle; people reported waiting in line for over three hours! To say this event was a failure and complete disappointment is an understatement. However, listen to this - Whomever is responsible for Cottonwood Mall's social media account went to the event page and ERASED ALL the complaints and kept the positive comments!!! So, I am doing my due diligence and posting publicly on platforms that cannot be erased because the event planners and management of Cottonwood Mall need to be held accountable. I'll say it again as I did in my initial post: "Do better Cottonwood Mall!"

But finally, I stopped by Cottonwood Mall because I had an appointment to attend and was too lazy to drive back home. So, I figured I would just kill some time at a mall instead. The mall itself was ok. Frankly, it reminded me of how much time and habits of people had changed over the years. The mall didn't have too many people..it was more like a gathering of groups of people just so they could interact/hang out together...rather than a place to go buy/get something (e.g. shopping mall). I felt like more than half the shops inside the mall were either empty/closed or had no foot traffic. Most people seemed to congregate around food court, which had smaller ticket prices and people could sit/interact. I ended up sitting around the food court, and doing my things, too. Got my paleta from Paleta Bar....but beyond that..there wasn't really much to do. I accomplished my tasks of spending about a little over an hour there at a mall before my appointment...but...I wouldn't really think of going back there again to get something. I mean...to me...online shopping is king..save me all the time/hassle of driving..and I can pick/choose anything I want...get real/honest feedback/reviews from other people before making my purchases. The rich aromas wafting through the air hinted at the delightful culinary experience that awaited me. As a walk-in customer, I was greeted promptly and seated without delay. The Butter Chicken turned out to be a fantastic choice--its creamy tomato sauce coated the perfectly cooked chicken in the most delicious way. Each bite was a comforting blend of spices that left me wanting more. Equally impressive was the Coconut Chicken. The way the coconut milk melded with flavorful spices created a dish that felt both exotic and comforting. Paired with the rice, it was a satisfying combination that made my taste buds dance. I also couldn't resist ordering the Fresh Garlic Naan, which was freshly baked and had a wonderful garlicky aroma.
