Has anyone ever had fun or easy breezy success when shopping for area rugs? No. Not a single person…read morein the history of time. This is simply one of those great big truths of the world: once you know what you want, you will never ever see it in a store ever again no matter how many times you stumbled across it before. It was in this state that I arrived at Tabrizi - a shop I had driven by at least twice a day for two straight years without ever having stopped in. We just redid our living room and need an area rug to be the crowning glory that pulls it all together. After revisiting all of my previous haunts, I figured I'd go right to the source. Tabrizi doesn't look like much from the street and, to be honest, it doesn't have much of a boutique feel once you're inside either. But, if you're looking for rugs, you'll find them here. Every wall is covered with hanging racks, the floor is covered in piles of rugs stacked by the dozen, and there are even rolled up ones leaning in every corner. It was a little staggering, to be honest. A gentleman was happy to give me the lay of the land, pointing me in the direction of their small modern collection, and I'm sure he would have been able to be a huge help if I was looking for something more classic like the bulk of their stock. There were some close contenders but ultimately I left empty handed. He did mention that they have a pretty sweet refund policy so that folks are able to bring a rug home for a substantial time period to see if it works - super helpful!

Confused. I think that would best describe my first visit to Lee Valley…read more I've ordered from their website for my Dad a number of times but decided since I was headed to Bayers Lake anyways, that I'd stop in to the store. That was a mistake. I went in on Saturday morning and was completely overwhelmed as I walked in to find at least 100 people wandering around the store. There was no signage to tell me where to go or how to order...so I wandered around for 5 minutes trying to find someone to ask. When I found someone, and told him what I wanted, he did a search on his computer, said he had it, and then told me I'd have to get a number and wait in line to get the product. Wait, what? So I just waited for you to find this on your computer but you can't actually help me at all? Thanks. So I took a number and waited 10 minutes.I was 167, they were on 129 and moving slowly. I was done at that point. I was confused because I didn't understand the sales process, annoyed because there was no one to help me figure it out and frustrated because for all their amazing products there was NO customer service at the store. I'll be going back during non-peak hours to try again but I am not happy about it. Next year I'll order online or find another store. This experience left a bad taste in my mouth.

Their prices aren't cheap but the quality is almost always superb and their tools are first rate. I love poking around for gadgety things here, and it's a good place to buy stocking stuffers. It's a fabulous source of cabinet hardware (knobs, pulls, hinges, clasps) in a mind-boggling range of styles and at a variety of price points. They put out the most beautiful catalogs imaginable, too. I agree that having to take numbers and wait for the staff to fetch your items can be a little cumbersome, but you can avoid this by ordering online and picking things up at the store.

My fridge broke with no warning and in no appliances in stock we took a chance with discount…read moreappliances. So we dropped a good amount of money on a fridge. Came home plugged in. Horrid smell. Mouse droppings EVERYWHERE ok. Then freezer leaked. Guess what came out yes. So i call next day super nice Being like Hey this is what happened like wow and the response I got back was pretty mediocre for just buying an appliance with nice droppings everywhere. He was like yeah we can get a repair guy but it won't be until next Tuesday which was a week and at that point I was like OKI didn't have a response other than OK because I was like is this for real. So i wait the week. Freezer done. Lost all the food. In the week wait for the repair man and the lack of like any compassion or willing to do anything was red flag. But wait why? Because its a store credit return so im already relaizing okay cool i get it now..he has the money. Fast foward tuesday call from husband. Says repair man called gave my number aince im home. No one came one called. So I call the next day yeah I'm pretty annoyed am I yelling am I mad no but I've already realized these people have red flags so I'm like I'm gonna probably hit record on my cell phone just to have this going. So I'm told the repair man called I tell them yeah I didn't call and he asked for my number and then he didn't call that so that I was like oh OK I'll see what going on. Tells me he did call me I tell him he did not call me told me he came to my residence but nobody was there oh well that was odd because I have a ring doorbell and nobody was there. [ huge backtrack there huge] So I'm pretty aggravated but I'm not yelling and the guy on the phone with me is not yelling back at me. Press me if this was anyone else and I'm pretty sure at this point I kind of have the right to yell but I didnt. Tells me somebody can come on Monday while monday's a holiday and I remind him this so he said OK Tuesday and I was like are you kidding me like this is a weekout I wasn't mad but I was like I'm not dropping this. It's OK then so when this guy comes and tells me this fridge is in repairable because there's mice tube through the wires are you guys gonna have it delivered back to you guys exchange. He tells me no because it's not part of the deal OK cool like I understand that but you're telling me you sold me a fridge with most droppings and most that eat through the fridge and you won't even have the decency to drop free delivery back to the store huge red flag. Fast forward to me posting on Google reviews the story. I realized there was quite a few negative reviews at some point and then they're gone and now I know why because they literally turned around and say it was the customers fault on the review. On the response back the business literally says I'm sorry but we can't have a repairman chasing around customers So I'm not really sure what the business was thinking with that line because any other customer reading this problem and having the business say a repair man has to Chase me around may also be on the same page as me. Also in their response they said I was unruly I was cutting off the sales person and I was yelling. Soon as I read that I called right back because I wanted to clarify that with him the lady at the front desk on the phone told me they didn't write that review it would have been the manager. Well I asked to speak to the manager and they weren't there so my question then was on the review when I was told that I was the problem how did anyone know that if I wasn't speaking to that person? So this is my story and I really would like to point out the red flags I'm out over a $1000 to me it's a lot of money but to some people that is beyond a lot of money to be out and these people dont understand that. I am so adamant about this story that I if you want to contact me for more information more photos or more side go ahead go ahead I will help anyone who was willing to go to this business not to go through what I did
