Worst customer service company. Bought a heat pump from them and they wouldn't service it. It was…read morea problem with the pipes, not the refrigerant, so McBurney should have fixed the product they sold and installed. When they installed the heat pump, they didn't put in a shut off to bypass the heat pump when starting up for the season ( not supposed to run the pump until you get chemicals/ph balanced), or if repairs needed. Lack of a shut off/bypass can lead to damage to the heat pump - which they will then not service. When pool turned green one summer I made many trips to their shop where they sold me many expensive chemicals that did not work. Finally contacted another company who said the sand in the filter simply needed to be changed. Pool was crystal clear after new sand - shouldn't McBurney have known to do this first before having me spend hundreds of dollars on useless chemicals?? We went back to the shop numerous times and were just sold more useless, expensive chemicals each time. There was never a mention of changing the sand in the filter.

Fought over the pool not fitting the existing deck with dangerous 6" gaps left all round and told "not thier problem", still unresolved. 10 months on a pipe split, and pressure gauge broken. Doug will charge $200 for a service charge but admitted the pipe and gauge were low quality! I fixed the pipe and was willing to fix the gauge only asking for a replacement $7 gauge, and i was told to drive in to Dartmouth and i could buy one from them! Companies survive on recommendations, i would not recommend this company to my worst enemy. Gave the company every opportunity to demonstrate some kind of principle or quality values and was told "get your lawyer to contact my lawyer". I rest my case.

I do use them for water testing but avoid them for anything else since I was disappointed with the original pool installation they did for me. It started leaking a few days after the installation and the owner showed up with some plumbers putty instead of fixing it properly. To be honest I am shocked that they are still in business.

I like to workout. I…read moremean "I'm a gym rat" kind of work out. If I could live at the gym I would. It's what happens when you lose a lot of weight and actually come to realize you like doing crazy things like run marathons, complete triathlons and lift heavy stuff. As a newer member to CGC I have to say I'm pretty impressed with the set up. The cost is reasonable too at about $50/month for a year membership. I haven't taken any classes so I can't vouch for that portion of the gym but I do hang out upstairs in the cardio room quite a bit and so far so good. They tell me it's not too busy during the morning/day. As of yet I've never had to wait for a treadmill. When it is feeling a little "packed" I'll go run laps on the indoor track. It's a great way to get in some nice cross training in between some push ups or perfecting the pull-up. My favorite part about CGC is the pool(s). Olympic standard size and as of yet never too busy to not get a lane. Instead of chloride as standard chemical cleaner they use bromide (much gentler on the skin). Locker rooms (both wet and dry options) are spacious. Lockers themselves are big for that over stuffed gym bag. Showers are kind of funky but once you get the hang of them they're not too bad. And while I don't frequent Subway, it's very convenient to be able to grab a little nosh on the way out.

The installers arrived when scheduled, worked extremely hard in a heat wave from 8 until 4, were polite and conscientious when cleaning up after they were done. Joann is amazing as well! She answers emails quickly and strives to provide timely customer service even at their busiest time of year! I can't say enough good things about Lowry Pools!
