They are neat, they are tidy, they actually seem to give a crap about me, my house, and my belongings. They came in assessed the problem, fixed the problem, taped a work hut up in the kitchen to keep the mess down. Removed the damaged items, dried the area out over a few days. Replaced the insulation and drywall, painted the walls, and the entire ceiling. Then when all was said and done, they cleaned the whole are and put our furniture back in place, and dusted it. These folks amaze the hell out of me! If you ever need any kind of repairs done to your home, these guys should be your first and only call!

Bath Fitters will come in, measure everything and customer make a wrap around for your shower and tub. It does take some time to receive it because it is not made locally. Shipped here from the main factory. They will come in one day and install the wrap around. I was very impressed with the guy who came. He was very professional and cleaned up all the mess. He did it in about 6 hours. It was a little expensive , but the alternative was a lot more.

The finished product was comparable to night and day. The job did go over the original estimate of 2 days a little, but quite understandable, as there was a couple of hidden issues behind the walls that surprised us and them, and I did ask for a couple of extra's do be completed if there was time...i.e. crown moulding. The whole finished product was completed with just a 1/2 day extra, and we did not have any problem with that. Darcy, our installer kept us appraised of all stages of the job, so there were no surprises. As for the extra jobs requested, they were all completed to my satisfaction. We were very happy that they were able to complete that part of the reno. As for the cost, the whole price came out as per original estimate, except for the addition of my extra's request. Over the phone and by email, Shelley handled all of my long-distance requests (I was in the States and my daughter is in Halifax) with patience, and always in a timely manner. She accommodated our need for overnight storage, and worked with our timing to get out of one place and into another. The day of the move, which happened during the NS wildfires, the company's timing got a little derailed, through no fault of their own. When that impacted my daughter's move, they proactively waived some fees as compensation, and worked with her to make sure that they could still get the move done in time. Shelley sent over an extra mover, and when we suggested doing the move right into the new place, without the overnight hold (we were able to get her into the new place earlier than expected!), Shelley rolled with the punches, and pivoted to execute the move in one day. The extra mover (which we were not charged for) and the whole crew worked quickly but carefully, and got the move done in record time. Overall, it was tremendous value for what we got, and the move was done faster than we expected! Being far away was stressful for me, but Shelley made sure that everything ran smoothly and that my daughter was taken care of. I would highly recommend Gentle Giant for your local move.
