Yes the staff at Bathfitter are VERY friendly and do believe in their product. And it does seem to be a great product. However my issues were with the install or shall I say the ongoing install ! I had ordered a bathtub and wall insert to replace our old existing one. Well that was back in early October and it is now early November and I am still waiting for the end result. The first installer was very messy and didn't clean up edges of caulking, caulking in some places was all over the walls and again not cleaned up, the soap dispenser was unlevel. My order called for a curved curtain rod which they didn't have for the first install. After he installer was Finished at the end of the day, he wanted me to sign off on the Install Paperwork. As he was in a rush to leave at 5 o'clock he didn't have time for me to complete my inspection, I told him I couldn't complete their survey without first inspecting the work. He was not happy about this as he was in a hurry to leave but he did wait for me to complete the information.
After completing the form with my unhappy remarks I then called and left a message with the local office. I had to reschedule a second time (again to take a day off work) to have a second installer return with the proper curtain rod and fix the mess the first installer made. This took place a week later. As a result of this, the caulking was cleaned up and he replaced the rod as well as put in a new trim to help with the corners of the first install.
I thought I was set and ready to go. Called Bathfitter to advise it was ok to remit the last payment and please charge my credit card. That was my mistake ! As I let the shower sit and really let everything dry out (keep in mind, I have not used the shower for two weeks now) So two days after saying I was happy and my payment I went to turn on the shower and yes, the tap leaked ! It was not installed properly from the first visit ! And then noticed as I leaned over that the new trim work was all scratched and the nice finish did not have the nice new shine on it. So again back to the drawing board and I called them for the first time. The second installer who was in came back and fixed the leaking tap but could not fix the trim work that afternoon. (yes I had to take a few hours off of work so this could be done as well)
Each one of my phone calls that I made to Bathfitter, I did request that the salesperson call me so I can talk to him about my dissatisfaction. And No he still has not called me. So now we are looking at the 4th visit out which was to take place at 5 p.m. this week. And unfortunately I was told by the installer that he was given the incorrect work order. This one stated that he was to fix a leaking faucet. Oh My ! So now we are booking late in November for him to come back again and replace by trim work. Yes I very exhausted with this whole process. And it is a VERY expensive product. Boy oh Boy I hope it is worth it.
I am not pleased with their workmanship ! read more
