I only needed 2 guys and truck, & was only $88. plus 1 small truck fee & smaller deposit than others (was only $25 vs. $50 (had I used "Xtreme Movers" who conned me out of my $50 deposit!!) but not Hero Movers. They are hard working, honest men. I'll add that I had quite more than I had thought in boxes & bags, regardless they did a speedy, DAMAGE FREE move & it was a VERY muggy day on Friday 24th of June, but it didn't slow down either of the 2 gentlemen. I told them to take it easy/have breaks, but they were all business. I'm a very picky person as well, so you can take what I say to the bank I'm a very satisfied customer & highly recommend Hero movers to everyone!

Moving day comes and the owner had a terrible attitude and came with a full truck, so his guys had to walk it like 400 feet, and acted like it was my fault and said he didn't want to do the job but will get done what he can........ (so no guarantee the job will get done?) Then when I said I would get someone else because he clearly didn't want to do the job they left my stuff in the parking lot and all over the stairs well! Not so they don't choose this company, but so they are aware of what happened to us, so that it doesn't happen to others. The loading in Ontario went well. When they showed up in Nova Scotia, they wanted to be paid prior to us even seeing any of our items. When I paid for the bill, I was told that only half of our items were in the truck. Then when they showed up a week later with what I thought was the remains of our stuff, there were still things missing. It is now two months later and I am still waiting on items. When I got in touch with the office, I was told "As I mentioned on the phone a few days ago, we will be there at some point to deliver the rest of your items." So not cool!!!!! Whatever company you use, make sure you have a list and that you check things off as they get moved off the truck!!!

Approximately 2 pm, the Mackie's truck went past slowing down at our mailbox with our address on it, turned around at the end of the road & proceeded to drive past our house in the opposite direction. Then no sign of them. Called the office & was told they couldn't find our house, horse puckies, & were now in Bedford! Would have to reschedule...oh no, we had prepped the house for an easy delivery, doors removed, drop cloths, old stove disconnected. The person on the phone said she would call them to return to our house. Am I boiling mad!!! You bloody well can bet on it. Next I am getting on to GE as to why they would hire such morons.

I received a phone call from Lenard the day before where he explained the process of the move to me and how the day would play out. As explained by Lenard the removal guys arrive into work at 8am where they clean their truck and prepare for their days work. Lenard told me to expect them between 9-9.30am but to allow 15 minutes incase of bridge traffic. At 10am I called the number he had given me to reach an answer machine, I then called the office asked to speak to Lenard and was referred to another answer machine. At 10.30am I received a phone call from Jennifer informing me the removal guys would arrive between 12-1pm. Big difference in the time which subsequently meant I had to lose a days work. When the removal guys arrived they had none of the right packing equipment and their truck was more than half full meaning they did not have room for our stuff. The two guys spent thirty minutes trying to contact the office whereby then they asked us to ring so this issue could be resolved. Between myself and my husband we were reffered from one person to another with nothing been resolved. Finally we were put intouch with Lenard who basically took no responsibilty, he tried to shift blame to others and never once apologized or even acknowledged the wrong information he had given me or the fact two removal guys showed up to my home four hours late, with a half full truck and incorrect packing materials.. Lenard was extremly unprofessional and to be frank he does not care about you or your move. If you want a stress free, worry free, friendly and professional moving comapny I would AVOID having any dealings with Mackie.
