There were 2 flat benches, 3 inclines (one of which could not be adjusted due to missing knob) and one seated bench which was missing the seat. I waited 25 minutes for a bench and never did get one. There was almost 2 rows of missing weights 20-35 lbs I believe and as there were only 4 people using the weights, not sure what to think. For $40 (my fully equipped club charges $25 day pass as does the fully equipped 24 hr fitness nearby I expected a more fully equipped gym. There were a lot of cardio and fitness machines if that's what you are looking for but if you are looking for a free weight fitness program, I highly recommend looking elsewhere. I mentioned the broken benches and missing weights to the front desk and he is "going to let the fitness director know" - shouldn't they already know? Anyway spent too much money and didn't really get a decent workout. Just spoke with club ambassador Rocco - he reached out regarding my experience. He explained that I was there during their busy time and they are repairing the benches and will be expanding their free weights areas in the near future. Even though the party time window is a bit short, I do appreciate that they have the option to shut the place down for private events. They also provide a private party room for your group to use, which is really convenient. The indoor pool is actually warm (which I truly appreciate, because I've been to plenty of places that claim their pools are "warm" when they definitely are not). There's also a section where kids have to pass a swim test to receive a bracelet, which allows them access to the deeper area and the inflatable play zone. There are plenty of lifeguards on duty, so it always feels safe, and they provide life jackets as well. All kids are required to wear approved life vests while in the water. I also like that there are showers right by the pool, along with doors that lead directly into the men's and women's locker rooms and bathrooms. It makes it easy to enter and exit from both the indoor and outdoor areas, although parents should definitely keep an eye on their kids since there are multiple exit points. One thing to note is that they're pretty strict about party timing. If you go over your allotted time, they may not always remind you, but they will charge you afterward. I really wish they had separate designated party time and swim time, because it can feel rushed trying to fit everything in at once. Overall, it's a nice place to take the kids. They also offer swim lessons and other programs, which is a plus. The only downside is that some of the front desk staff seem young and occasionally don't have clear answers to specific questions. This wasn't our first visit and definitely won't be our last.

It is also known as the YMCA of Grass Valley. I am in heaven! Plenty of lanes to swim laps and then another pool that is shallower for kids or possibly disabled individuals. I swam this morning...pool was clean and I had my own lane! They provide kickboards and other stuff for your workout. They have outdoor showers and a brand new locker room with private showers...you can use the lockers to store your stuff or place them on the concrete bench when you are swimming. They also have a changing area and bathrooms. Times vary...and prices too. I swam for 5 bucks today ( 3 bucks if you are a senior). Open year round and pool is heated! You can also walk in the pool if you are not a lap swimmer. Lifeguards are on duty. Totally joining today! Ps. COLLIN at the front desk was helpful.
