McAlister's Deli is my #1 place to go for a quick, friendly drive thru. The food is always delicious, my favorite is "the Italian", but even if I'm not hungry, I'm always thirsty. I drive through every day for my iced tea. Yes, I can make tea at home, but it never tates as good and I'd miss seeing my friends at the window. You can't beat the fast, friendly service and delicious menu anywhere. read more

Nearly $20 for this unbelievably uninspired sandwich and an up charge of $1.20 for the cheese and onions. Seriously. What is that, 5 pieces of shredded cheese and 3 pieces of diced onions? Come on McAlister's do better. If i wanted crap food I could have gone to Arby's. Learned my lesson, never again. read more

McAlister's Deli - Salad Near Me - Macomb, Illinois

See all

I was in Macomb for a job interview at Western and stoped by for lunch with my interviewers. The guy that greeted us could not have been more friendly or more kind. His customer service was outstanding!! The food is just semi-OK but the atmosphere and the customer service was truly amazing. read more

Absolutely terrible food and service. Took me an hour in drive through to get my food and the guy that was working the window was rude. very monotone I will no longer be going. He is tall very dark hair and very long I think his name was Brenden terrible service read more

Have never had bad meal at any mcallister's location. There's a bit of a wait after placing the order so don't expect it to be fast food. Well worth the wait though. The veggie sandwich is really good but they could use some more plant based options. The overall vibe is about like panera and quality is comparable as well. Prices are better though. McAllister's is always a solid choice read more

McAlister's Deli - The veggie w/ broccoli - Salad Near Me - Macomb, Illinois

First time trying this place. Very few places to eat in this town. I ordered the same thing three times this week and it got more and more un appealing and unappetizing. Today the third time I did not eat it as it was just that bad. Front counter people are nice and helpful. Sandwich makers need to work on consistency and delivering the same product no matter who is making the order. read more

I ordered a grilled chicken club and they brought me a McAllister club which is very similar I admit so I thought maybe they knew better for me today. Well, I learned my selection was superior so at least I know that now. Broccoli cheese soup was on point as usual. The girl running the register seemed bored or indifferent to being there. Part of me wonders if she wasn't listening when I ordered and that's how i ended up with the wrong sandwich. Dining room was pretty quiet and I got to see a Doberman service dog which was a first. read more

This place shocked me! As a deli aficiando of the highest calling for all that is sandwhich, soup and salad, this place rocks! They have 1 more level of goodness.....massive spuds! I only came here because it was smack next to my hotel while on biz travel and dinner was much needed. I came in and scoured the massive menu and could tell this was gonna be good on that alone. The staff there were really cool as well. Very tentative, kind, talkative and engaged with customers. My biggest struggle here was deciding what the heck to get! I wanted to soup, a sando, a spud and a salad, such first world problems right? I went with spud, soup and salad and even then you can pick and choose as you please to make it just how ya want it. Got the spud veggie style with added chicken minus cheese Got the roasted veggie soup cause whats salad without soup? Got the southwest cobb salad minus cheese and tortilla strips All 3 for take out and when I got home it was Josh smash food time! And smash I did. Topped my spud and salad with the hot soup and it worked really well actually. Food items were delicious, wholesome, nutritious and simple. The portions are very generous, the prices are fair and the service is accurate and quick. I do not know how I never thought to give this chain a shot before this one!? I am going to say here that this place rivals my normal go-to spots if not beats them. Sorry Jimmy John's and Subway...I still love you but I'm making some new friends while on the road it seems. read more

I had the fruit and chicken I picked it up it was good it was a large salad and I shared it with my husband.

Lots of VARIETY of foods and GREAT customer services. Thank you for feeding me all week. I enjoyed all my good meals. read more

Good food. Sometimes inconsistent. Great drinks. Chain based but well run. Always clean. Community friendly.

I ate here a few days ago and spent the last 2 nights vomiting in the bathroom. I will never eat at this place again

I am amazed by how good the food is, but the prices could be lower. The workers seem very pleasant as well.

Came here when visiting family today. They just opened so it was a bit crazy, but it was great. Excellent food, service, quality and all. Only downside is if you're a student, it isn't near campus, which stinks. read more

Whenever we go visit my son at school we all go to lunch here. Everything I've tried has been delicious. I love their salads but have tried several sandwiches as has my family. The staff is friendly and service is prompt. It's also walking distance to two hotels so it's convenient. read more

In town for business and my hotel is right next door so after a long travel day, I opted for takeout. The New Yorker was good but sliced too thick for my liking. I will try other menu items. The tropical tea is pretty good. read more

Customer service is very good. Food is Ok. Pricey. Salads could use more than a lot of lettuce in them and the price is too much.

Very nice building in a good location. Outdoor seating is a nice perk. I was assisted by Josh at the counter, very friendly and courteous. I've been here before but like to try new things with each visit. Three total trips here and never disappointed. The New Yorker is a beast, but a delicious one. The Reuben is also top notch. read more

let me start by saying I really like Mccalisters Deli. I have been to several. and the one in Warren Ohio sets the bar for customer service. They are outstanding! Now let's talk about Macomb Illinois. Avoid this place. We walked in, the girl that took our order was new, no big deal. We got through the order. Worst part was her wiping the snot from her nose and wiping it on her pants. Then we ate outside. An employee was cleaning up a pile of puke. I will sit over there thanks. It happens. Food came out and we ate. Food seemed fine. I brought plates back inside(Warren Ohio did this for me and asked if they could get me anything including a refill of sweet tea). When I got to the counter with the plates, all three employees turned around and disappeared. Ok. on the way out I used the restroom. Door was locked so I waited. Heard the toilet flush and person immediately came out. It was the manager, and no he did not wash his hands. Patiently waiting to see if I throw up. If you have time, go to Warren Ohio. Skip Macomb. read more

I order a simple nacho plate and a coke. Waited 20 minutes for someone to come by and say what did you have? I told her, "oh that's up there". Brings it back stone cold. Ridiculous!!! read more

Okay food. Takes too long! No way you can get in and out of here and back to work in an hour. It will take 30 minutes to order and have your food delivered to you. Staff was friendly. I was headed towards Arby's but saw the line was long so I chose McAlister's across the street. The menu on the drive-thru was gone (completely gone, wasn't there) so I went inside to order. I need a menu! Maybe my 4th time, and every time I would give it 3 stars. I don't get it, I guess. My sandwich was supposed to be toasted - bottom bread still cold, and the meat just piled up in the middle. The meat was roast beef and 1/2 my bites had fat or grizzle. All total $12 for nothing to brag about. I'll return if a friend really wants to, but I won't choose it again. Sorry, I tried. read more

Great new deli in town with great food and service. Ordering ahead and using loyalty program enhance their fine fare. read more

First time I had been toMcAlister's deli and It was next-door to our hotel easy walking distance that made it convenient, the food was your typical subway food the tea was good the sandwich was good not great just good the service was liking they could've been a little more attendant. read more

This is the third time I have ate here and was very disappointed! Not sure if it's because it was Saturday or what?!? Our food came out and my plate had guacamole all over it and I didn't order anything with guacamole! Further inspection bottom of plate was dirty as well! Hope this place isn't going down hill, as we enjoyed the other two times we ate here. read more

I love this restaurant!!! I really enjoyed the French Dip, the Broccoli Cheese soup and the cheesecake was as good as I've ever had. Victor was our cook. GREAT! The staff is friendly and the restaurant is clean. They have a really nice sized menu. If you're staying at a local hotel, this is the place for you! I don't give a lot of 5 star reviews but this place is wonderful. I've been here every time I come through town. read more

I have fallen in love with Mcalisters recently. I had the Cobb salad which was huge and very tasty. The honey mustard dressing is the best I have ever had. I tried the chicken and dumplings and it did not let me down. Service was really good and the Tea was great also. Keep up the good work... I will be back soon !!!! read more

Back again, and still have yet to receive a correct order. My order this time was simple...club sandwich (no tomato), chips, lemonade, and cookies. They completely forgot my chips and upon inspection of my sandwich, it appears that it had originally been made with tomato and then had the tomato picked off. I could tell because there were tomato seeds and residue all over part of the sandwich. Luckily I'm not allergic, or there'd be bigger problems. I really want to like this place, but I'm getting disappointed more and more each time I go back. read more

These people really try hard to provide fresh food and good service and it really shows. It's a chain restaurant but it seems more personable. It's hard to have a decent lunch for under $10 these days but by ordering at the counter you can save on a tip I guess since so many different people deliver your food and get refils. I encountered at least 4 different employees during my quick lunch. Had the corned beef on rye with chips and a side salad and water and it was over $14. Not cheap but very good. I would go back. read more

Went to eat in late this afternoon, the coleslaw was horrible, my corned beef (they were out of pastrami) was piled high, but my wife's roast beef was so thin you has to hunt for the meat. My Chili tasted like ....no....it was worse than canned. The only reason fo 2 stars was the friendly workers. read more

Every time I've gotten food here it was great and came just as I ordered it. The only thing to beware of is the prices and the addictive quality of their Sweet tea. read more

The Service at this location & food is hit or miss. Several times our orders have been wrong. We have gotten mashed potatoes & gravy with no gravy. Once we literally got plain bread. read more

The manager Brianna is very very nice and courteous! I honestly I haven't talked to a manager for that long AFTER MY MEAL! She's so sweet and tiny and full of hardwork! I know just based on how she brought our food out and asked ever question in the book! She even came back with refills, more flavor shots for the kids to try! She was even working alone and with another nice girl in the front. Even though she was the only one controlling everything she did everything AWESOMELY! I recommend to go back and tip her! The food was amazing and the two ladies did amazing service! read more

I usually have an excellent experience here, but today I was dismayed to find a piece of piece of paper - like the kind you use in food service as a sandwich wrapper - in my salad. Yuck! read more

Service is great, food is excellent, and it's just a pleasant place to be at! They also give a $2 coupon on the bottom of their receipts that I still need to use. I love it read more

I was taken to lunch as a birthday treat. Very disappointed ! At 1p.m. parking lot was packed although there were lots of empty seats. Tables crammed too close. No handicapped access table. I ordered the orange cranberry club sandwich - the bread was stale, meat and tomato slices were paper thin, cranberry relish barely noticeable. The side dish Mac and cheese was very small and bland. For the price charged it was a pathetic meal. The staff were friendly, but that didn't make up for the poor meal. Won't be going back read more
