Sesame Garden, which used to be Lin Garden, is a great local spot for Chinese. It's very affordable and worth the money you pay. The lady that runs it is very good and speaks English well. She is quick and efficient. Great meal place for take out and dine in (even though there are only about 20, chairs in shop to eat at), as long as you have a car. It is across the street from KMart and doesn't deliver to campus sadly. However, if you can make it there, you won't be disappointed. Note- If you're a WIU or Spoon student you can get the college special for about $6, which is one of the best deals around!!

The food is always great here. Only reason I gave a 4/5 is because they've forgotten some of our food lately.

Good vegetarian options. They also take COVID safety protocol very seriously, and that is much appreciated.

Excellent food. They now have several tables (their other location had very few) but we prefer to carry out...you can't go wrong here.

Affordable, Friendly, and you will leave full for a pretty cheap price. Easily a top restaurant in Macomb.

Still paid for the unwanted dish anyhow just to avoid further stress. The salad that was part of two of our entrees was extremely gross, it was essentially a salad soup where all you could see was some lettuce sticking up under what was supposed to be salad dressing but was a bowl full of salad dressing. Probably was sitting back in the refrigerator all day and the water from the lettuce just drained out. Then even worse was the fried rice that 3 of us had with our entrees which was so dry and hard it was inedible along with way overcooked filet mignon and indistinguishable tempura. We paid in full for not being able to get full bellies. Save yourselves the grief and stress and hard earned money and skip this restaurant.

Excellent flavor of ginger dressing on the salad. Good service and a fun time

We're visiting from Florida & based on opinions of others we decided Go Fish Sushi sounded delicious. And what a cute name! Love it. So darling. And I will say that for gambling on mid-west sushi, it paid off. Everything was delicious. 5/5 stars for the quality of the food. Back to my review.. Remember, we didn't see the sign (small sign about knee height.) completely missed it walking in. We were not greeted. I asked if we could sit anywhere we liked & the hostess replied "you can sit while you figure out what you want & then come to the counter to order." Okay cool. We sat to figure out the menu. Every table had a bottle of soy sauce. I ordered crab Rangoon roll, California roll, spicy tuna roll, and the Philadelphia roll. For beverages I ordered three waters & a draft Sapporo. The hostess stated she'd bring our beverages to the table. She then delivered three bottles of water (not glasses of water) & my beer in a glass. We then realized we'd paid for water. We enjoyed the simple atmosphere while we waited for the food. One customer came in to pick up a take out order. Another came in & sat down at a table nearby. (Whom proceeded to eat at his table.) Our hostess delivered our meal bundled up in take-out fashion. This was confusing (because we hadn't seen the little sign.) I then stated to the hostess that we intended to dine in & were in need of service wear. Plates, silverware, etc. She replied "we don't do that." Puzzled I said "we can't have a few plates?" while pointing at their obvious stack of small plates. This would have been a very good moment for her to kindly apologize & let us know that they were take out only for lunch. Nothing. Just a reluctant smirk while handing me three little plates & soy sauce dishes. My spouse now noticing the backside of the little sign said "why does your sign say take out & dine in?" One of the two gentlemen replied "cuz you're only looking at the back of the sign." By then we were already opened up & divvying up the sushi. So they reluctantly let us continue. We were still confused until we looked at the front if the little sign which clearly stated "take out only." There were two opportunities for kindly reminding us they were only offering takeout - at the beginning when asking about a table & then again once we asked for plates. Our hostess failed in that regard & acted very indignant & snobby. We feel bad because of our mistake, but the customer service was sub-par by the hostess.

You're NOT important to them unless you order carry out hours ahead…read more We tried to order twice- hours before they were closing and we were told - sorry they had enough orders for the day. Also the dine in versus carry out hours are very confusing. Their food is good, but they are a mismanaged business that creates a frustrating dining experience.

My husband and I visited Crazy Buffet (aka Panda Buffet) in Galesburg, Illinois on a Sunday night,…read morearound 7 pm, in late Sept, 2024. The restaurant was scheduled to close at 9 pm; the rest of the neighborhood was already quite sleepy. All of the food that both my husband and I ate was quite tasty, including Asian buffet favorites such as Pepper Chicken; Mongolian beef; crab Rangoon; California sushi; and far more. They also offered some unique and tasty items, such as fried zucchini slices. They also had tubs of creamy and yummy ice cream for dessert. We rate the quality of the food that we ate as 4.5/5.0. However, by 7 pm, the restaurant was already winding down and many of the food trays were already near empty and weren't being replenished so there were many food offerings that we didn't get the chance to try. Our rating for variety is thus only 2/5. Service was okay (3/5). The waitress brought us our requested waters, and checked in once to see if everything was okay. The overall ambiance was of a typical Chinese buffet restaurant, and was maintained well. The restaurant and restrooms were clean. However, staff started to wind down the day at 8 pm, including mopping the floors of the main buffet area, the check-out counter, and restrooms while we were still eating and needing to walk in those areas! It was an hour to closing time! Finally, the restaurant was a good value for all-you-can-eat for $12.99/person at dinner, before tax and tip. We would return but probably earlier in the day to have full access to the variety of food choices and to ensure that we didn't interfere with the cleaning at closing.

We decided to come by today after we traveled to Galesburg, but unfortunately a disability I have kicked in upon arrival and I got sick. I didn't eat a single bite of food at the restaurant, I got a soda while the rest of my family got full meals. Well, my dad called the waitress over near the end of everyone else eating to say that I hadn't eaten a single bite; the waitress replied very rudely telling us we were at fault for not telling them I wasn't going to eat before we checked in to the restaurant. Legitimately, I got to the table with my family, didn't sit down, and immediately went to the bathroom and got sick. When she told us we would get charged for my non-meal, my dad responded by saying we'd pay it and we didn't want to argue. She continued multiple times telling us to basically kick rocks. After around ten minutes of my family finishing their meals and deciding the food wasn't worth the treatment, another waitress comes by and takes my "meal" off the ticket, saying something along the lines of "We didn't want to, but management said to not charge you" I didn't have any food, but besides this experience with the staff my family members said the food wasn't nearly as good as it has been years prior. My dad and my partner are usually ones to get multiple plates, but they both only got one and didn't even finish what they got. My dad said there's no way he'd drive as long as we did to have this again, when in the past we would make the trip SPECIFICALLY for this buffet. Nothing else, just for this place. This was a really disappointing experience, and it very much gave "money hungry" vibes. I'd get charging me if I'd eaten ANYTHING. I didn't have a single bite. I hope this was a one-off experience and the staff doesn't act this way with other, worse off customers.
