So I ordered the veggie spud that should've came with a cheese dipping sauce and when I got home that was missing and the broccoli was not cooked right some of it was brown, and the veggies that should've been in with a baked potato was very minimal and I eat at McAlister's all the time so this spud was lacking in a lot of areas. I did contact the general manager, and hopefully they will be able to improve the quality of the food at this location. read more

Door dash or whoever they use is trash and when they screw up bringing you your order, which they have done the last 4 times, McAlisters doesn't care and doesn't help in any way. One of the screw ups, someone stole our order, and the dasher asked them if they would remake our order and they said too bad, and told us to try to get our money back. That was not on door dash. French Dip 12"(Dry and tasted stale), Fresh Fruit (Pineapple, Honeydew, and Cantaloupe (?), but, it was kinda hard and sour). 2. Angus King Club w/ Pepper Jack Cheese 3. Smores Cookie (receipt says Smores but, the lady said it was a Snickerdoodle). 4. Chocolate Chip Cookie 5. Large (Lemonade & Unsweet Tea w/ Black Cherry syrup). It's so hard to think that the sandwiches were not good because, we go there a few times within a month or so, and we've loved the food in the past but, from what we ordered last night, we are having a hard time thinking if we're going back to this location. I also checked the bag with the items in it, and they made a mistake by not including the French Dip sandwich until I said something. Thank goodness, I looked into the bag. We didn't even finish our food because, it didn't taste good and the fruit I paid $0.70 extra for tasted stale and was hard to chew (kinda like it was unripe, and the pineapple was sour). Ok, so this location was doing great, but this is the second time in a week they have sent an incomplete order and also added a dietary restrictive item that was requested to not be added. Tomatoes are deadly to renal patients. I am quite sure they would not accept incomplete payment, and no one wants to wait for their incomplete meal. Then, get part of it and have to now try and get food another way and wait longer. Before the snark responses start, you don't know anyones circumstance, and they may have no one to get food for them, so paying for the service one would expect the service to be fulfilled. The chili lime dressing was good at 1st but either too sweet or too acidic, either way, it left a sour aftertaste in my mouth. There was barely any poblano & black bean relish on my salad & the entire thing being on a bed of mixed greens was a joke. There were a few pieces of darker, leafy greens in my salad, the rest was iceberg lettuce. I have not eaten at McAllister's in years & remember nothing but great food the last time I ate there. Very, very disappointed in my food today, especially for a salad that costs $11.50. I can get a way better salad at H-E-B for half the price or a way better salad at Whataburger for still less than what I paid today. Then, the cashier made sure to give everyone that was before me & all those that came after me in line their drinks right away. I usually don't leave reviews for chain restaurants but the management & staff here is so phenomenal I just have to. We get McAlister's probably at least once a month as it's a quick convientent healthier dinner & has gluten free options for me. Also the reward system is pretty generous. Sandwiches and salads are always tasty. Everything I've tried is always delicious & fresh. I also really love that they cut the grapes in half with the kids fruit cup! My daughter also loves the turkey cheese sandwich & it's the only time she eats deli meats. I'm personally obsessed with the ultimate nachos & love getting them to-go because then I can make each bite perfectly at home. Today they forgot my nachos. The husband went back to get them as I was really craving them. I called the restaurant & the manager Brenda compensated us for the nachos, the kids meal & threw in an extra cookie. I really appreciated the excellent customer service. She really went above and beyond and was so friendly too. All the other employees we have interacted with have also been friendly and provided great customer service. If you are looking for a good lunch or dinner spot, then definitely try them out! I loved my experience at this budding restaurant. The staff consisted of sweet young folk. They politely greeted me and informed me of being short staffed. A lovely young brown skinned angel by the name of Jia took my order quickly and accurately. (Definitely get her and tip her well) Now I, not being a 45 year old Karen or man child, understood they could not control this matter. I displayed a understanding attitude (again cause they have absolutely no control over this as they are minors) and sat down. They were absolutely swamped and I felt sympathy for them as the rushed to get my order under a reasonable time. After 25 minutes (again they were short staffed and had no control over this as they are minors) they handed me a sandwich only slightly incorrect. I knew they were very overrun so I grabbed the attention of a lovely young upstanding beautiful young lady by the name of Joy (her manners were immaculate and very approachable), I expressed the flaws in my order and she apologized and offered to remake it. I agreed it took another 15 mins but I got my order fresh and correct with an extra for the inconvenience. I love this place and the demeanor of the staff. I frequent here and know the staff vaguely. The people I have personally witness abuse these young minors because they are miserable with their aging and failing bodies. So they take out their frustration on these poor employees and I think it's wrong. I emplore the manager to protect their young staff from these horrible individuals. Just because you are older than them doesn't mean you can use you age against them. Remember when you were young (although it was PLENTY of moons ago and we can all tell), you also had to make many mistakes in order to prosper. Using you age to intimidate a young individual, is not power. And then you cry about them being disrespectful in public. Well maybe be human and treat these budding young workers with kindness and understanding. You'd be amazed what actually taking your head out your posterior, and being someone people would like to associate with can do for your experience in life. I love this location and will get in for an employee if they are being mistreated. So if you disrespect these pleasant young folk, be careful for you might meet me and it will not be pleasant for you. read more
