Well I was the one who put this place on Yelp a few years ago and I find that my earlier reviews and photos have all gone. It's not unusual for some of my reviews to disappear and the common factor is that the disappearing ones are in the Irish republic.
So as it's a Mc Donald's there's little point reviewing the food as it's cheap food with prices fixed at the very top end for junk fat and sugar and it's particularly true that Irish Mc Donald's (like all Irish fast food) is very expensive for what you actually get. The average Mc D meal is over 50% more expensive for the same fast food as Northern Ireland.
There's little point reviewing the coffees as they are machine produced - a human pushes a button - and like the food the coffee, which may be top quality coffee, is made mediocre by the non human production method but once again far more expensive than the identical in NI - and it's not just excised by different tax and minimum wage in the jurisdictions - I'd be hard to persuade that this isn't profiteering but that's capitalism for ya.
We simply got a cappuccino each as with National lock down we couldn't be bothered to try to find if a great coffee place was open to offer take out.
So the year ends with politicians still over paying themselves for lousy work even in a mis managed pandemic - they profiteer too despite incompetence on the backs of working folks yet they don't ever reciprocate.
They refuse living wages for the low paid; they refuse decent pay awards for nurses, teachers and even in the worlds richest country, these self indulgent super wealthy politicos couldn't bring themselves to give ordinary folks $2,000 notwithstanding macro economics where it's crumbs off the tables of the vastly wealthy and money essentially going round in a circle.
I wonder how long it'll be before Yelp loses this one? read more
