The only drawback is I had to rent a campsite for the day in order to get a fire blazing. Kind of sucked since I wasn't planning on spending the night. Oh well! It was all still worth it as I supported nature and TPWD. The hiking trails were challenging and invigorating. Thankfully they were also very clearly marked. They were a challenge with all the natural rock and rock cliffs. Penitentiary Hollow was the main attraction of the hike. Wow, Lake Mineral Wells rocks with awesomeness! Please camp here!

Started out great, but they're quickly going downhill for me. PROS: - They meet my scheduling needs with business hours of 6:00am to 6:30pm Monday theough Friday. - They do pick up and drop off for my school age child, so I only need to make one drop off and pick up trip for both of my kids. - The teachers are nice and my kids love them all. CONS: - Their policy states that if your kid goes to school with them 3 or more days, you have to pay for the full weeks tuition... EVEN IF THEY CLOSED THE SCHOOL DOWN. They seem to have only ever been notified of a positive COVID case exposure at their school on a Wednesday, forcing them to have 4 day weekends, but families still required to pay for a full week. This includes staff and child exposures. Never have they had a report of a case on a Monday/Tuesday, where families could pay only for those days. Seems a little "coincidental" to me. - When my child was quarantined for 2 weeks because of an exposure she had at THEIR FACILITY, I still had to pay half price tuition for each week she was quarantined. - Recently, Texas had a terrible winter storm that caused many businesses and all schools to be closed down. Many of the families who have children at their facility have been dealing with no water, no power, busted pipes, spoiled food and other added expenses in their homes, while also being unable to work. Little Tyke was closed down the entire week as well, but still have the audacity to say they will be "discounting" the tuition for families that week by only charging us half rate. I know of at least 3 families in the past month alone, that have left their centers already or are in the process of looking for other daycare facilities due to these very reasons. When questioned about why we are being required to pay for services not rendered, their response was that they too had broken pipes from the storm and need to continue paying their staff. I find it incredibly upsetting that as a business whose food is paid for by the government and has business insurance to cover their broken pipes, would compare their situation to that of the families. On top of that, it is their choice to pay their staff even when they did not work, but I do not believe it is rational or ethical to charge our families for services not rendered and expect us to pay, no questions asked. Again, all of this is happening while in the midst of a pandemic AND a natural disaster. Shameful.

Now the go kart station, the kid managing that, , got on to my daughter for swerving and running into the wall, warned her at lap 3 and slowed her down at lap 4. My family of 5 has been going to Grand Adventure since 2022, and have driven the same way and never had an issue till now. The go kart guy needs a little training, and a little professionalism. Our classes were indoors but she has outdoor training, too. There are "poop bags" located on the property and trash cans by the gate. The location is easy to get to. Robin is an excellent instructor who breaks the training into easy segments that build on each other from week to week. She is supportive and yet very clear of her expectations and instructions. She sends a summary email after each class to remind the owner and fur baby of the things that were covered in that week's class. I will be continuing more classes with her.

There is not a tree anywhere obstructing your ability to hit the ball at various targets. 3. All the chipping greens have at least one ball rake laying beside the green. This is simply the best practice range in the area, and the best one I have ever come across anywhere. They also have a top rated highly experienced club fitter, and a great staff of teaching pros. The bucket price has gone up but the facilities are top notch, there are way more parts of your game you can practice here than any ither facility I have been to. They do have monthly and yearly memberships that make it pretty economical if you use the facility a lot.
