An amazing service and it is good and fast to get around the city and surrounding neighborhoods

This is Kurt, OnApril 2nd I was driven home on van 2628 (driven by George). George is a wonderful thoughtful patient driver. He deserves great kudos. I would love the possibility of riding with him in the future. We had an incident concerning a blind man scheduled to get on our van along with a service dog. The woman already on the van with me was freaking out aboput the possibility of the dog getting onto our van as she is seriously allergic to dogs. The Ride refused to put either my co passenger on a second vehicle. My fellow passenger with her coat wrapped arpoundith all of the windows open and her head wrapped tightly with her coat. I don't know how the ride deals with deathly allergies at the time the rides are scheduled. It would seem prudent on the Ride's part to consider service dogs along with the allergies of passengers with great concern for safe rides for it's customers. The Driver George handled this situation wonderfully. He gave equal concern for the blind man and his dog and the scare allergic passenger. Reward and thank him for me. if driver is early why is he parking in lot of a supermarket down the street rather than sitting in the parking lot of the medical building he is picking me up at?? I got done with my appt early and could have boarded early if he had been in lot where I am waiting. Now you know why they are late becasue they waste time. He waited until the last moment to head over and then he drives by the building I'm at, turns around and comes back and finally picks me up. Also I live on a corner. Sometimes GPS will tell them to stop on the side of the house. You think any of them don't think to themselves Hmmm...maybe I should be on the side with the door in the front. Let me start out by saying that up to this point, The Ride service has been ok. I understand that the time of pickup is flexible. You have to be prepared. You have to be outside. There are rules. One thing I thought highly of was the customer service of the drivers. From my experiences, they are professional, compassionate, and empathetic. I've been on rides where we waited more than 20 minutes sometimes to pick up handicapped passengers. Whether they had forgotten keys, pocketbook, bags, wheelchairs, walkers, canes, braces, no special equipment, etc. Not today. The ride left me. This unprofessional, untruthful driver and I spoke, and I apprised him that I had to grab my bag. In order to speak to him, I had to walk down the street to Suffolk University, where he had parked. He's my first unprofessional, untruthful, noempathetic driver I experienced. Hopefully, he will be my last. I feel sorry for his other passengers he'll be picking up today. I haven't gotten started with this service. Confusing calls? Need to understand messages and not be confused with set up of rides. Today was supposed to be interview at one was the time. Now no idea what is up? Clear English on phone would help and make folks able to respond when called. read more

I cannot rely on The Ride anymore. Scheduling is completrly random, they send vehicles I cant get into, Drivers no longer provide Door To Door service and Ive missed so many doctor's appointments I have stopped seeking medical help. Ordered a Ride for my mother - uses a power wheelchair... booked 5 days in advance for Oct 19, 3:45 PM and return st 7:45 PM from Concord to the seaport... the assigned times were 4:13 PM and return at 8:09 PM... The driver Stanley Rincher was on time and very professional... the arrival was supposed to be 5:00. Unfortunately, there were to interspersed two pick ups in Medford and the first rider could not maneuver her scooter with 4 grocery bags, so she cancelled... the second was picked up late and was supposed to go to a Boston address 29 min away and it was already 5:25... the driver called dispatch and explained we were going to the Seaport (23 min away) first... the driver was excellent in traffic and polite to all of the customers... he deserves compliments... read more

The ride scheduled my ride yesterday May 18, 2025 for both trips I have fo today and then today May 19, 2025, the waitlisted my return trip and I was told by scheduling represantive that the ride ride will be there when it gets there which means they probably going to pick me up at 7pm when I told them i needed to be back to my residence by 3:45pm due to I have a in person meeting at my residence with my doctor. no the first time they pulled this. I do not know how the state allows the ride to constantly be late for pick ups and drop offs. Very unprofessional. read more

This is a public transportation service. I'm not a stickler for punctuality. The Ride gets me to appointments on time, and I'm okay with a little waiting around/not knowing how many other people's rides will be interspersed. However: Safety is a big damn issue, and they're failing HARD. The following is a list of tests I didn't even consider they'd fail but have gone horribly wrong in just the past few weeks. Drivers need to: -Know how to drive (not curl their bodies around the steering wheel like a panicked toddler while other traffic dashes by and they miss every turn) -Hear -Speak English beyond "left" and "right" -Lift disabled passengers safely (preferably with a hydraulic lift, and definitely not with the power of cheerleading) -Find their way to designated addresses -Not fight with a passenger about where their destination is In short, drivers need to be more thoughtful about their disabled passengers, and TRAC/The Ride needs to hire qualified drivers and train and treat them right. read more

Horrible Dispatchers. Poor organization.The Ride is an unforgiving company no flexibility. Poor scheduling. They always make me late for appointments and then I have to reschedule and wait another 3 months for a medical appointment. Truly the most frustrating service. Yesterday I requested a pickup time of 7:15. They made my pickup window "7:15-7:45" then got me after 8. I've also had rides with multiple pickups and drops offs making me late for work. Today the ramp was broken and the driver couldn't give me the ride. He said someone would call me now about a new vehicle coming... absolutely NO ONE called. Then I got hung up on when I called. read more

The MBTA The Ride is even more dysfunctional than bus, train or commuter rail service. I have. 90 year old Dementia parent that I needed transportation from assisted living in Sharon Ma to doctor appointment in Norwood Ma. In advance of her appointment in book 5 days in advance pickup at 10:15 am to make an 11:00 am appointment. Return trip was booked from Norwood to Sharon at 11:45. The ride showed up at 11:02am instead of 10:15 and made us late for the appointment by 25 minutes. Being late for Dr appointment made us late in seeing the Doctor and prevented us for making the 11:45 return trip home to Sharon... This POS organization is not easy to get in touch with over the phone and has about as much respect or personality as a rock. After 45 minutes on hold I got a 1:30 trip home or so I thought because it kept saying in the app 1:30 pickup tentative, 1:30 soon became 2:59. Long and short MBTA The Ride is total crap and leaving a 90 year old dementia patient with out Food or Water for their crap service is intolerable in this technology day and age. The only way I got my mother home from her appointment was by calling the Norwood PD. Thank You!!! I later call back the MBTA The Ride and explained to the person on the other end of the phone what happen and I wanted to speak to a supervisor, they hung up on me... Forget that post Covid the drivers seldom show up the dispatch will say five more minutes because they don't want to look so they say five more minutes 80 times in a row from 3 o'clock in the afternoon Saturday till 730 at night five more minutes five more minutes five more minutes they say but they never look at their screen because they're not in an office anymore they were in their bathtub with their fingers up their pinky hole in the back oh I can feel my pulse in my trachea today suffice it to say I've been working with The Ride for a couple years now and twice three times or five times a week Today for instance there were only three of us abandoned by The Ride at my dialysis clinic we're old people in their wheelchairs need mobility assistance from a company that's raping them by taking government cash and doing absolutely shi. Nothing Just so they cat be 90 min late. Then gps shows their arrival. A 20 min later Gps confirms as I literally run upstairs to verify a second empty parkinglot .... Yes. The Ride is not a good service. They are either late, or too early. They showed at my location, when I had cancelled my reservation, and is now a no- show. The customer service representives are rude. The Riders yell at you when you ask them one question. Terrible service. I am better off using Lyft or Uber. read more

Disgusting. I applied two weeks with an interview. They nver sent the fax information to two separate locations where my doctors practice. Finally, the call center had to air fax the doctor's assessment and doctor office did get that. My doctor filled it out very quickly and faxed it back with confirmation. I called today to follow up and they told me it wasnt received. They are sabotaging my case. I did get an email and my doctor will send it through their and I will call as soona s it is sent. I will contacvt thae general managers office and demand a replacement of my worker to get my application processes. Two weeks and they still refuse to send and accept the fax for the assessment. Disgusting and abelist. I will also contact the ADA and lidge a complaint againt them.. read more

I'm so grateful and appreciative that the RIDE provides such outstanding service! I'm wheelchair bound and I would not be able to keep medical appointments without THE RIDE. Every single driver is prompt, professional and exceptionally kind and thoughtful. read more

I absolutely need this service. In the past the rides were typically late or to early, and sometimes did't show up. I left my phone in a car and the driver reported it missing on my next ride. I called at least 25 times to the lost and found, even made a complaint online. Nothing, I finally gave up, but lost special pictures etc. on my phone. read more

This is covid and i understand but lying to someone trying to get to work is BS. I probably will lose my job bc of this. 45 min ago my ride was 2 miles away. Don't ever believe them when they say it is only a mile away they are just lying. This has happened 5 times and is a completely useless service if you rely on it for your job or anything important. read more

Terrible service . I had a resident that was suppose to go to dialysis like he does every other day . They took him to Walmart . The resident told the driver he was suppose to go to dialysis instead and he just brought him back to residence. ! read more

Poor excuse for a service that is supposed to assist disabled persons get from place to place. Left my husband (with dementia) at his day care program yesterday. Said he was a no show and charged us for the ride. The driver was a no show. Called me at 2:57 to say they would arrive in 10 minutes. Called at 3:34 to say they arrived. Long 10-minutes, huh? At 3:35 the program director went out to the parking lot and there was no Ride vehicle. When I finally got a human being on the phone, at 4 o'clock, they told me it was too late to send a vehicle to get him. Thanks for nothing. read more
