He set expectations that my phone may not recover but that he would try to dry out the components and inspect the damage anyways despite being very busy and a lot of customers coming in. He was able to dry out my phone and luckily it's working pretty great so far! I raced to Verizon to help me back up, they held my phone for 8 hours and said it was backed to ICloud and I was good. They were incorrect. I went to Apple the next day to help me complete what Verizon could not do and they told me "yes everything is transferring over to your new phone you are good" then sent me home. My pics were not transferring and then my phone went dead. With nowhere to go I did. They then said they could not help me since the phone was dead. They could try to restore it but probably could not help me. I found Gabe at Mobile Rescue in Norwalk and he not only saved ALL of my data.. he sat with me for 2 hours and helped me transfer everything I wanted over to my new phone.
