I hate to leave 1 star because I was finally getting some pain relief. There is a language barrier..not a big deal except, despite being given the exact information necessary to receive authorization for additional treatments, receiving such authorization, the staff member doing billing at this office REFUSED to follow the instructions for billing clearly noted on the authorization, had not called the Provider number to obtain clarification for whatever issues she was having billing, insisting she was right (She wasn't). She informed me I was limited to 2 visits per month when I arrived for my appt. (I was limited to 2/month unless additional visits were authorized....which they were.) This all ended on a very hostile note. I called MB's office 3 times after again verifying with Blue Shield additional visits were covered. The following day I was on the phone with Blue Shield for over 2 hours. The REP called MB during this time trying to find out what the issue was. The biller was resistant and insisted she was right (she wasn't). The REP called MB a second time while I was on hold telling the biller EXACTLY what to do to bill for the additional authorized services. The biller still resisted stating she "would have to talk to the BS billing department herself". I called to follow up. I did not receive a return call. I will not go there again. That relationship has been severed because of an assistant/biller not willing to learn or understand the method of billing. I am filing a grievance with my insurance company. Providers unwilling to actually facilitate care for patients should not be in network. Patients should not have to spend hours on the phone because staff do not want to do their job. read more
