Old school dessert shop! This spot is drive thru and walk up only, service is hit or miss, menu is large. I went by on a hot afternoon for an iced coffee, a chai coolada(?), and a twist cone - the soft serve is where they shine, I really liked seeing how many chai options they had (and the version blended with soft serve was great!), but the iced coffee was awful? Odd artificial sweetener and aftertaste. Despite the hot weather, they were not busy and service was slow. Worth visiting for the chais though, one of the more unique offerings. read more

We went through the drive-thru a little bit ago. It appeared that a bunch of 18-or-younger inexperienced employees were running the place, and it was horrendous. They had us waiting for better than 45 minutes, kept asking us repeated for what we ordered, and by the time we got everything, the first ice cream order, which we were bringing home for a friend, was melted, and they got attitude with us for asking for a new one before leaving. People behind us in line ended up pulling around and leaving. They screwed up our payments, too. Overcharged on our credit card order and undercharged for cash. Plenty of employees just standing around, too. Really unsure about going back. We might see who is working next time and if it's something similar, we'll take our business elsewhere. read more

UPDATE - - The attitude at the window was lamentable, delivered by a young male with facial jewelry and a persistent, bitter scowl. Cup sizes and prices have shifted yet again--shocker--but the consistently dreadful service remains the one constant. While the product itself still holds up in quality, the rest of the experience is an absolute letdown. Let's see if the pricing and portions stay consistent or keep fluctuating based on whichever employee is working. read more

Prices depend on who is waiting on you at the time as mentioned in other reviews. I have been charged multiple prices for the identical item this summer. Web page gives a third price for the item, go figure! Service could be the slowest in Butler. Hours and days open are inconsistent with similar businesses. Ice cream is good but the service ruins it. Not sure how they stay in business with wildcard pricing, limited hours and slow service. read more

I had a great experience with Mazzanti's! The workers were very friendly, and they were chatting with people who appeared to be regulars. I can see why customers come back frequently. I have had the Italian ice in the past and found it delicious, and I had a milkshake this time. It was very creamy and nice. The shop offers a great variety of flavors and items. I ordered a small milkshake, but since there was not much ice cream left the employee made me a large. It was a very kind gesture that made my day. Mazzanti's has a very nice location right off of Route 8, with a slightly old-school feel. If you're thinking about it, it is definitely worth visiting! read more

Only reason I went here was because Dairy Queen's line was too long and I now know why I got a milkshake that was literally warm peanut butter milk and also cost me 10$ double the price of dairy for half the quality do better mazzantis! read more

I've been eating Mazzanti's ice cream for about 15 years. It is, by far, the best ice cream around. Creamy and absolutely delicious. My regular favorites include Heavenly Hash, Rocky Mountain Raspberry, and Oregon Blackberry Cheesecake. But throughout the season, they also make specials for a few weeks then switch. Currently I am loving the White Caramel Turtle and Ho Ho Cake ice cream. Oatmeal Comfort is also amazing, and my husband loves the Hot Honey! For a treat, I love the Coolatte. When they close for the season, I do try others but they just don't stack up. I am spoiled for life. Do yourself a huge favor and treat yourself. read more

I have waited to review Mazzantis until after visiting multiple times with my family. I say confidently that Mazzantis might just be the best ice cream I've ever had! Their ice cream is creamy, and flavorful, serving sizes are generous and the staff are always cheerful and friendly. Mazzantis feels like one of those well kept secrets but now that I am in the know I am telling everyone I know to check them out this summer. Incredible homemade ice cream. The butter pecan is so good that when you've had your first couple spoons you literally stop with the creamy goodness still covering your tongue, and literally say "oh my God this ice cream is good". Simply put, this place has the best cherry vanilla ice cream I've ever had anywhere. Huge chunks of Bing cherries and perfectly creamy vanilla, unreal. You can taste its all homemade. Size of cones is generous and drive through service is convenient, quick and easy. Staff was very friendly. My mom had the peanut butter chocolate and really enjoyed the huge chinka of peanut butter! Once upon a time, I was scoping the area to show my out-of-state visitor the best dessert venue. It was a chilly night at 7:57 pm when we had arrived at Mizzanti's Beans & Cream. I was aware of the Dairy Princess down the road, but I had chosen to support the locals this time. After departing the Subaru, we had discovered that the length of the line surpassed that of a 3-cashier Walmart on a Sunday afternoon. We had entertained ourselves by watching a man drop several slices of banana onto the pavement as he was entering his new Ford Expedition Platinum. As we were about to get ice cream, the clock had just turned over an hour after we first arrived there. The fact that these people waited for this ice cream must have meant promising treats. Good vanilla cones, and a lady in a Toyota Highlander eventually ran over one of the banana slices--after I moved it. read more

I love Mazzanti's, I visit every time I'm in Butler. The iced coffee is great, especially if you like a strong roast. The cannoli ice cream (holy cannoli), is seasonally available and it's life changing. I have dreams about their cannoli ice cream no joke. Okay sooo this ice cream is legit the best ice cream ever. The apple dumplings are to die for and also the he oatmeal comfort is amazing, unfortunately they're only in the fall. However, my main go to is Butter Pecan and Salted Caramel for the rest of the season. You get very generous servings and there are a ton of options to choose from. I love this place. The service is wonderful, and the home made ice cream is to die for! Every flavor I've ever had has been fantastic.

I cannot praise this ice cream enough to do it justice. I usually make it a point to come here 4/7 days a week for whatever hard serve ice cream I'm in the mood for. I've only tried their hard serve so I'll only speak for that, and I will start by recommending people to try both Bruno, and Pistachio here. I've never liked a pistachio ice cream in my life, until now, and it's love. In the middle of Butler, PA stands this awesome ice cream palace. It sits on a corner of a parking lot with one entrance. The line snakes through the parking lot and people who go through the drive-thru risk getting run over....not really, but it's awkward. They have a long list of flavors -- i got mint chocolate chip in a waffle cone....it was insanely good. My daughter got cotton candy which was a bit too much -- mainly because she has this obsession with the current movie, Inside Out which has a character that smells like cotton candy....we found a toy just that day of Bing Bong and he smells like cotton candy....so much that our whole car smells like cotton candy...by this point, I was tired of cotton candy that one bite of the ice cream, and I was done. My son was excited for the Mazooka flavor which was bits of bubble gum in ice cream. He shared with me, and OMG....i was instantly transported back to my childhood and had remembered a long lost memory of having bubble gum ice cream that tasted just like that.....it was soooo good. I was doing a happy dance....so see, how my dislike of our newly aquired Bing Bong (forgotten imaginary friend/memory from childhood) who must have swam in a vat of cotton candy perfume ties in perfectly with my long forgotten memory of bubble gum ice cream??
