The location in a shopping area with uniform shop and a few restaurants, allowed for enough parking for all the businesses. The interior was decorated with a mural on the wall counter with desserts and seating throughout. We decided to dine in and were seated promptly. The menu selection was fast and our Server Savannah answered all our questions. Two of us selected the lamb shank, which was cooked for six hours with a bed of yellow basmati rice. It also came with a salad. I had initially also ordered the lentil soup as I am a lentil fan and my associate ordered samosas. My nephew is a practicing vegan and was able to get a street style falafel meal, which also came with rice and salad. My son, who suggested the initial Halal place, actually ended up getting the cheesesteak with sweet potato fries. I love the variety of items for everyone. Everything was delicious! The lamb was seasoned perfectly and easily came off the bone. We ended up all preferring the garlic sauce. Amongst all the sauces they offered, and it paired well with everything. My son really enjoyed his sandwich, and my nephew was intrigued by the falafel which was made with fava beans instead of chickpeas. It also came with the signature Albasha sauce. The inside of the falafel's had a dark green color and looked delicious. We paired our meal with the seasonal minty melon drink, which consisted of watermelon with mint leaves and was served in mason jars. It was delicious and more was ordered. The entire experience was aided by service by Zaden, who aided Savannah with our group.

They also don't make it clear that there are options to customize the toppings and sauces, so if you sit down and wait for your name to be called for the food you will miss the opportunity to add feta and veggies to your meal. Look alive for review #455…read more Coming into Jasmine's Mediterranean restaurant on a late Tuesday afternoon, I was ready with questions. The menu and decor immediately signaled that this wasn't the Greek-style Mediterranean food I'd come to expect - no spinach pie, no feta in sight! But what I found instead was something far more special: a warm embrace of genuine hospitality that began the moment I walked through the door. The pride, knowledge, and sheer respect for their food and customers at Jasmine's are palpable. The restaurant itself is sparkling clean, adorned with beautiful, personal touches from the proprietor's home in Jordan, creating an inviting and authentic ambiance. My guide through this culinary journey was an amazing, personable hostess from the West Indies. With a simple "What do you enjoy?", she expertly navigated me through the menu, leading me to the most delicious meal. At $12.99, It was priced fairly and prepared perfectly. Every dish at Jasmine's is made fresh, and the short wait is absolutely worth it. Even though I live 45 minutes away, I'm already planning my next visit - and I'm bringing my sisters! I hope you will enjoy your food as much as I did. When food is cooked with such love and respect, it truly shines through. Jasmine's is a must-visit for anyone seeking an authentic and unforgettable Mediterranean dining experience.

Hidden gem in the university area of Charlotte. Turkish/Mediterranean food and drinks…read more Bright and airy inside and the decor is simply beautiful. Really captures what the food and culture of the place is. You can come here for breakfast, lunch or dinner or just coffee. They serve all the Turkish coffee and teas your hearing about these days. Plus the regular coffee shop menu. They have a nice case of traditional desserts and everything just looks so good. Cheesecakes, cakes, pastries and baklava. All the food we saw coming out looked so good and all fresh. We sat outside even though it was warm... they have a few sidewalk tables. They have a extensive menu with vegetarian options too. We wanted something light so we shared the mezze platter which comes with 4 dips and their house baked balloon bread and cucumbers and tomato slices. We got the hummus, baba ganoush, red pepper hummus and tzatziki. Also had some stuffed grape leaves on the platter. The bread is pretty unique, light, airy and thinner than a pita it has a big bubble in it and parts are crunchy and some softer. Great for dipping into the dips and just by itself. Also had the garlic Parmesan fries too. All of it was so good. The fries are crispy and a full bowl that never seemed to go down. The dips were so fresh and I loved the smokey baba ganoush. Presented so nicely too. The grape leaves were great too stuffed with rice and marinated in a nice vinaigrette type dressing. Great platter for the hot weather as it was all cool. After we finished that we went inside as it started getting really hot out and we wanted coffee and dessert. Our server said we can sit anywhere we wanted , we had already seen what we wanted in the dessert case, the raspberry shine cheesecake. Picked our coffees , I went with the cappuccino and my friend had the mocha chino . The barista who was so sweet asked us if we'd had the Turkish coffee before and we said no, so she served us up some with a little Turkish delight sample too. Rich and dark is how I'd describe it , not for the light coffee drinkers, this packs a punch. Really liked it. She also said in turkey after you finish your coffee there is a sludge of grounds left at the bottom of the cup which there was, she said you can have your fortune read from those grounds and how the place in the cup, you have to turn the cup upside for in the saucer and let it sit awhile then flip it over, she was able to read a little as she had said she had been taught how to, she did get some things right in her readings! She also said you can take a picture of the grounds and put it in chatgpt to get a better reading! So I did, it was interesting for sure. Kinda a fun thing to do as well. My cappuccino was positively weak in comparison to the Turkish coffee, Still good though. Was perfect with the cheesecake, which was creamy and had a chocolate crumble in the middle, loved the raspberry flavor and the crust was really good too. Not a heavy stodgy cheesecake, this was much lighter. Perfect afternoon coffee accompaniment. We loved this place! So glad we discovered it, would love to come back and try some of their dinner plates. Great service and just a nice space, it's always nice to come across these local places.

I went to pick up an order and asked for a specific item. Noah, the owner, responded, "I don't go to the kitchen," and kept repeating the same excuse for about three minutes. Determined not to leave without the item, I finally said, "If you can't get it, just refund me, and I'll leave." Noah had $20 in his hand but never printed a receipt. Eventually, he handed me the $20. As I walked toward the main door to leave, he said, "Don't go through that door." I didn't understand why, as it was the main exit, but I decided to proceed anyway. Suddenly, I heard footsteps behind me. Without warning, Noah came up and put me in a chokehold from behind. The hold only lasted a couple of seconds before my instincts kicked in. Having trained in martial arts, I defended myself. In the heat of the moment, I retaliated and landed multiple strikes. At one point, I realized I could have seriously hurt him--I almost choked him out or broken his arm--but I held back. The fight spilled through the door Noah didn't want me to use, and we ended up outside on the street. By the end of the altercation, we were both holding onto each other's shirts. I told him I wouldn't press charges because I felt I had already gotten the upper hand. Soon after, Noah called a security guard from the bar next door. When the guard arrived, I thought it was about to escalate further. Instead, Noah, clearly upset, ordered the guard to pepper spray me at close range. Afterward, the guard and I exchanged a few words. I could tell he felt bad about what happened after hearing the full story. In the end, Noah decided not to press charges, likely to avoid scrutiny over his own actions. Yelp doesn't allow posts with graphic content, so I can't share some of the images.
